Did Jesus die and rise from the dead?

Katzpur

Not your average Mormon
Oh it is worse than that!

I think the basis of LDS is entirely a fantasy, BUT-
Who really cares, if it suits them?

For lo, the church consistently teaches outstanding
values and the Mormon people are as good
citizens as one could ask for.

I do not criticize Mormons. I have no complaints.
By the way, I edited my post that you quoted while you were responding.

well then.....did the Carpenter survive His death?

and you will not?

How would I know? I dont believe it, but,
I was not there.

No idea of what your second q is about,
and for that matter, your post is in no way
about mine, so it seems we are not communicating.

What nonsense. The US constitution, the Great Pyramid
and some few other things are artifacts that have gotten
far far more study.

ONE reason is they wont let anyone study the freakin' "shroud".

You ever notice that "god" is not into giving proof, yet you
are offering this as posdible proof?

If ya got proof, of what use is faith?

You guys are doing idolatry, another thing "god"
is said to, like, eschew.

If you take any of this god stuff seriously, you
may want to consider what you are doing.

And dont tell me it is not idol worship unless you
would wipe your car with it.

It is very ugly, I would burn it.[

For believers, ma'am, faith is the proof that God is, as was and will always be, however He's not ignorant to perceive that some doubtful would require proof just as He let Thomas touch His wounds, therefore referring to material as proof that He exists wouldn't qualify for adultery (idolatry) because no obeisance occurs the instance.

Mind you faith is a gift (very precious) which not every human has been privileged with, and for argument' sake the man is asking for proof - what sufficient proof (for him) is there if I tell him I believe, given an intellect that man can be. That's when we can refer you to the tangible (sight, sense, smell, taste and hearing) since you are at a natural level which is where God redeemed you from through His own self by suffering that you could inherit His eternal being with the condition that you trust that He is.

Actually @Riders - it is not Hare Krishna - that is the society that goes around preaching - the entity you refer to is Lord Krishna - and one of his most well known miracles was embodying the entire universe in himself - I have alluded to this elsewhere - no religious figure that I know of has pulled off something quite that spectacular - not once - not twice but three times - once as a child and twice as an adult - he conclusively proved that he was an incarnation of the supreme lord
WOW neat, are you Hare Krishna follower then? I visited Kalachandjis a few times 8 or 10 years ago.

His wounds would have a bunch of blood in them, if he was not bleeding out maybe it was not Jesus, must have been a different guy........Jesus was bleeding.

So, faith in whatsoever god it be in whom
thou hast faith, even so shalt that god be proven.

Got it.

Can you write in kind of plain English?

The point is that you believe what you are told to believe, no thinking required.
I wonder why you have to resort to being insulting by saying No thinking required_______________
The Bible is Not written in ABC order as a dictionary is, so one can't mindlessly read it like some novel.
Rather, one must search or research the Scriptures by topic or subject arrangement in order to understand it.
Unlike a mindless novel ( No thinking required ) study and research is required through the Bible's corresponding cross-reference or parallel verses and passages to see the internal harmony among it many writers.
Sure, there are fake ' weed/tares ' Christians who just blindly believe, and that does Not make them thinkers.
Whereas, Genuine ' wheat ' Christians do Not blindly believe.

But when you do cross reference and do research you will see that the bible contradicts itself so many times and there are so many erors. The fact that you choose to believe anyways makes you blind.

Bible onlyism. You will get things wrong because there is more to context that word meanings, and usages in verse, chapter and book. There is historical cultural context as well.

In Jesus' post-resurrection appearances Jesus used several different materialized bodies.
Because doubting Thomas was doubting is why Jesus used that particular materialized body for Thomas.
No physical resurrection for Jesus. Even the soldier guards did Not see him leave the tomb.
Mary mistook the resurrected Jesus for a gardener.
Some followers mistook the resurrected Jesus to be stranger according to Luke 24:15-31

That just proves its not real and was not real. SO the bible itself can be used to say the resurrection was not even real.

Someone else wrote the bible, the fact that these occurences don't agree with each other and contradict the idea of ressurection is proof that the bible can not be trusted.

The Bible is no different than any other collection of novels, it's fiction.
