God has to prove to me that He exists: what kind of proof should I demand?

It's different for everyone.

I was an atheist for 30 years. I demanded proof many times and nothing.

Eventually came a time, stuff happened in my life. And I asked for proof/help, and I got it. Been a Christian ever since.

I don't know what God is looking for because I'm not God obviously. But I can explain how it happened for me and my opinion of it and that's all I can do.
You implied that I had not been sincere enough in my devotion to God, but that is how things rest with me. I cannot be a advaitin seeking satchitananda from my dharmic actions and reconcile a God into that belief.

My search for the truth about Existence has come to this question?

Any ideas?
This is a good thing. If God can change you; then God is real.

Ask if God is real then to change your heart for the good. Also don't accept imitators but the most High God only. Pray specifically to the "most High God".

it sounds to me like you're saying that if G-d exists He needs to prove it and if He doesn't exist then there wont be any proof anyways. i don't know if anyone asked this but why is it important to you that G-d prove He exists?

Should I continue to use the digital clock in checking for messages from the most High God in case He exists, or would that kind of seeking consultation be delusional in the circumstances that I know of no other means to invoke a God or the High God into my life to answer the question: was I persecuted deliberately in a cowardly manner by the United Kingdom State in front of His eyes and He did nothing about it and what was the reason for the persecution if that question was answered in the affirmative?

I don't know if you are sincere or not. I certainly don't mean to imply either.

Just saying sincerity/humbleness is required. Even when sincere and humble if you are not ready for truth then it won't be shown to you.

I guess the whole point is, that it can't be forced.

I need to know what kind of God would stand idly by and simply witness the persecution that was unleashed upon me by the United Kingdom State without any conscience to bother His mind.

You are making excuses for an Entity that you have only anecdotal evidence that It exists without any concrete proof of who it is you are dealing with.

I wasn't aware I was trying to prove anything.

You asked a question and I answered.

And you wonder why I doubted your earnesty.

Tsk tsk shame on you.

it seems that He didn't reveal Himself to you back then, what makes you think He will reveal Himself now?

For this, I would just pray to God directly out loud.

As for persecution. John the baptist was imprisoned and beheaded unjustly by the king of Judea. He expected Jesus to rescue him and so he sent a message to Jesus "Art thou he that should come? (meaning the Messiah/chosen One) or look we for another?"

So, Jesus proved He was the Messiah with miracles and sent a reply to John "blessed is he that is not offended in me" So, even if we suffer unjustly; if we do not allow ourselves to be offended by God; then God will bless us. Because I believe God watches everything carefully with complete understanding and God loves the kind of faith that doesn't give up.

Finally, Jesus Himself followed John's martyrdom with His own on the cross. So suffering unjustly is what basically anyone who has faith in the most High will have to face in this life.

You certainly gave the impression that following 30 years as an atheist you were given some secrets of God's existence for you. I would like to know what these were. If God exists His reputation is on the line.

Surely that question depends on what you sacrifice for your beliefs.
You may be wasting every Sunday to worship a non-existent deity.
In my case, usually Tuesdays. Many faiths don't have one day set aside, but see religion as a 24-7 process. I avoid Sunday like the plague at our Hindu temple. That's when all the Christian subconsciouses arrive.

Sorry I am not suffering for any God as I do not know any God except what I am hearing from you. There is no God and the only thing we have is faith in our own ability that we have the capacity to withstand persecution from the State come what may.

I was referring to action, not belief. How would it change the way you behave?
If a God existed He would be obliged to make clear what He exists for instead of making people speculate on the matter through religions that all say different things about God on how to behave. I believe that truth accommodation is the only guide to what we do for ourselves in this life. This means taking account of all our circumstances in deciding the correct course of action as our dharma.

This didn't answer my question. Dharma is dharma. For Hindus, whether they believe in God or not, they still follow dharma. it's action. So if you're already following dharma, then how would changing your belief about God shift, other that actions that are worshiping or not worshiping God?

That's just it. It was given to me, as it has been given to many many others, I'm not special. It's your journey and should you be given any, it will be just for you, and you alone.

This is my opinion on it. You can agree or disagree. But that's what I think about it.

Dharma is not anything specific in terms of our actions. Dharma is not only different for different people, it changes over time for the same person who has to determine primarily what he needs to do to survive, in other words swadharma. God has got nothing to do with this dharma other than one spends time worshipping God in some form if one believes that God exists for the person. I do not believe that He exists for me so I deal with that reality in truth accommodation as my determinant of dharma.
