A New Dark Age For Europe

But yet nevertheless they formed over some very significant issues. Some Sunnis will insist Shias have it wrong, while some Shias will denounce Sunnis as false and hell-bound. Some that don't care all that much for that divide. Some, such as Wahabi, that are extremely conservative (with Saudi Arabia having "morality police" to enforce "proper and righteous Muslim behaviors"), while most Muslims would find such an interpretation to be unreasonable. And we have no way to objectively determine who is write and who is wrong.

You know there were no morality police (Muttaween) until 1979.

Iran also went through lots of changes around then (becoming far more Conservative). What of it? Wahabi has been around for awhile, and the morality police in Saudi Arabia enforce moral policy. And it just goes to show that different Muslims have different views and interpretations and there is no objective way of determining who is right and who is wrong.

The morality police in Arabia are considered pests.. and periodically the government rounds them up for retraining when they overstep their boundaries.. They are rare in Jeddah and in al Hasa and barred from Jubail and Yanbu.

These days (in the past 20 years) they often get thrown out of public venues like book fairs and concerts.

And yet the government also supports, promotes, and funds Wahabi extremists groups and groups/individuals linked to terrorism. Morality police are nothing more than annoying flies compared to the other things the Saudi government has going on.

They don't fund any terrorist groups, but the insta-pundits say otherwise... and that's a safe thing to do.. Most people are very ignorant about Saudi Arabia so the pundits can get away with saying anything.

What do you expect from Saudi Arabi's government though? everything the Qur'an strongly condemns they do. They're capitalists, heck have you heard of Neom?
Saudi Arabia's central doctrine is Usury.....how ironic.....

Most "terrorist" groups are usually linked to the CIA and British intelligence, unsurprisingly. Just geopolitical coercion, slight of hand, ordo ab chao.

I expect nothing of them. I expect others to realize that trying to define who is and who isn't a Muslim is as equally futile as trying to define who is and who isn't a Christian. Eventually everyone will inevitably be denounced as a non-true believer and there are no objective measurements or standards in place for us to utilize anyways. The very fact we have Sunni and Shia Islam strongly indicates we can't label adherents as being "real" or "not real."

KSA has fought AQ since 1994 when they revoked Osama Bin Laden's citizenship and declared AQ a terrorist outfit...
They still funded Al Qaeda after that, and they have been accused in far more recent times of turning a blind eye to terrorist funding/supporting and not doing enough in regards to it. And, of course, members of the royal family continue to have links to terrorist groups

LOLOL.. according to the same insta pundits who have never set foot in Arabia.

I know many members of the Royal Family. Why don't you just go ahead and name names instead of being so vague?

Uhhhhhh, that's not actually true.

The US has freedom of speech. It is restricted in some incidents (can't libel, slander, or get people to gather for a riot), but you won't get arrested if you annoy someone.
Where did I say anyone gets arrested for annoying someone?
Let's assume what you're saying, but for something different. I go online hoping to date. Go to, I dunno eHarmony. Instead, I meet a serial rapist. "Well because of what you said online, you deserve it!" Yeah, that's what this is implying. That somehow you should be not only firebombed and harassed but also arrested for speaking up. How about, how dare you. No.
I'm really not seeing the analogy, here.

What has all that got to do with criticising/slandering an ideology?
Criticizing and slandering an ideology is not hate speech, and is not illegal in any nation that has free speech, which is what the thread is about. What is illegal in nations that have the right of free speech is the misuse of that right to cause harm to others. Some of the posters, here, seem to imagine that there is no possible misuse of free speech, and so no form of speech should be considered illegal.

They are wrong on both counts.

Maybe before you quote anything, maybe you should see what the subject and Article is about first.

But maybe you don't know how to do that

Yes, i read it, analysed it i am pretty sure it is not about following bible teachings.

And yes, i also read the bible

The OP makes no difference to the words of the jesus you claim to follow closely

BTW, i live in europe and the project fear tactic promoted by right wing extremist and xenophobes is just that, promoting fear.

How can criticising an ideology cause harm to others?

Free speech should be a given in a free society. There should be no authoritarian censorship or self-censorship.

You can say what you want about my beliefs and I would care not one jot.

Are any of these so-called right wing extremist and xenophobes calling for the removal of the right to free speech?

It is those that are that we should be fearful of.
