"South Dakota Will Now Force All Public Schools to Put Up 'May Allah Guide You' Signs"

"South Dakota will require all public schools to display “May Allah Guide You” signs in a prominent place beginning next school year, after Republican Governor Kristi Noem signed Senate Bill 55 yesterday.

This kind of Islamic kowtowing is hardly surprising in a state where groups can give legislators personalized Korans with the State Seal on them, and where the governor can host a Muslim worship party on her first day in office.

It would be national news if we were talking about any other religion, but conservative Muslims are doing everything they can to push their faith on the people of the state.

Republican majorities are more than willing to give them whatever they want.

Wow Skwim. That seems pretty messed up to me if they posted signs in any religion.

This sure sounds like fake news. People in the media will say anything and everything if it makes people outraged. When people get outraged the media outlet gets better ratings. Better ratings equals more money and profit. I think people lose site that just because it's published doesn't make it true. News is not news but entertainment designed to serve a specific customer base.

It's all about making money!

Gotta say, this was one doozy of a prank, @Skwim .

Here's the actual text of SDL55:

"FOR AN ACT ENTITLED, An Act to require the national motto of the United States to be displayed in public schools.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA:
Section 1. That chapter 13-24 be amended by adding a NEW SECTION to read:
Beginning in the 2019-2020 school year, the national motto of the United States, "In God We Trust," shall be displayed in each public school. The display shall be located in a prominent location within each public school. The display may take the form of a mounted plaque, student artwork, or any other appropriate form as determined by the school principal.
For the purposes of this section, a prominent location is a school entryway, cafeteria, or other common area where students are most likely to see the national motto display."

He didn't fool me for even a fraction of a second.
I've been to N Dakota....those Lutheran Norwegian
bachelor farmers would never praise Allah.
(Yes, they're just more westerly Minnesotans.)

But...But....But...

...Christians!
Facts are facts. Whether it's displaying what they think are the 10 Commandments on public ground, displaying nativities on public ground, tests of faith to hold office, banning homosexuals from adopting, and preserving discrimination as a "right," these things are being done by Christians. Christians are the ones who are doing everything they can to erode separation of church and state, even going as far as to pretend it doesn't exist at all.

What about....... ism...
That is an incorrect use of "whataboutism." That is when someone brings up the actions of another person or group even though it's not related to the topic at hand (political discussions sees this a lot). What I did was point out having "in god we trust" as a requirement to be displayed is part of a larger trend where Christians are pushing their religious dogma as legal legislation. That is pretty much the opposite of "whataboutism."

Thoughts? Oh yeahhh, I have a couple/few thoughts...Btw, I am not surprised by that bit of (probably) fabricated news. In any case, thanks for reporting it! We better get used to enduring and tolerating things like this, and bending over for Shara law is only the beginning. So in my opinion there is a real cause for concern because while that particular news item might be fake its true that congress et al are being asked to create a bills that would make sharia law valid in the USA. However I highly doubt Sharia law will slither out of its immoral cesspool and infect our country while trump is in office.

Republican majorities are more than willing to give them whatever they want.
Thoughts?

Can't agree with that thought, if congress gave us everything we wanted I can think of a few things (Heh, heh , heh *darkly) that I want that would completely eliminate the problem.

Just kidding! .....really I was...

It's stupid but real cause congress et al are being asked to create a bills that would, if and when it passed muster allow Allah and Co to impose Sharia (Islamic) law upon us, us being USA citizens. Ain't gonna' happen my friends, at least I highly doubt Sharia law will slither out of the immoral cesspool and infect our country save for Frisco and or a few newly minted sanctuary cities.
And yet us "goddless Cali libs" treat people in a way that is far more congruent with the examples set by Jesus. And need I remind you the "immoral cesspool" your own religion crawled out of says it's perfectly ok and fine to beat your slave as severely as you want so long as they recovery in a few days because they are your property?
And since you're all worked up, I'll let you know you got worked over absolutely nothing, because what actually happened wasn't "May Allah Guide You," but rather "In Allah We Trust." (I might have gotten the language of a word wrong). It is happening, but it isn't Muslims using the Constitution as a tissue, it's Christians. But you probably won't see how it is equally bad.

Please refer to title of thread and post #1. Please note that "Christians" is not the topic. Thanks in advance for opening your mind.
