When someone talk about compassion for all living beings what is your understanding of this form of compassion?
Compassion like the CPU is recognizing here is made of dense vibrating strings; that can be made from static consciousness with very little understanding (Maya), and through wisdom's ascension through the dimensions, we can create a constructive increase in everything we encounter.

In my opinion. :innocent:

My first thought is that "all living beings" is awfully broad; unworkably broad.
If you want an incisive discussion you have to hone your terms to a fine edge, else we'll all be talking past each other.

As previously stated, "all living beings" is kind of wide, how do you define being?

Examples,
The ebola virus is living, is it a being
The mosquito is living and can even be said to have intelligence, is it a bring?
Same with the salt water crocodile
How about someone like radovan karadzic or mass murderers such as members of the LRA

Edit Ok, your post came while i was writing this, forget the virus

I think it is something that we do for us, not for 'them'. Existence includes suffering, and annihilation. Our compassion will not negate these. However, with practice, we can minimize our unnecessary contribution to their inevitability. And in so doing we may diminish them for ourselves and each other.

All sentient beings.

I can not talk for others but my view is that i have compassion toward those who also do evil deeds, because i wish them to see what they do wrong and wish them to understand that doing good deeds are better then staying as evil beings (humans)
When it comes to animals or bugs i do not kill them, because i do not wish to harm them, so i treat them with respect and happiness

Yes,i edited my post after you explained sentient beings. Still very wide, many animals can be identified as sentient. However i will go with "human" beings because your reply seems to indicate this.

Some human beings will never see see what they do wrong, terrorists for example assume they are in the right by beheading people, or raping then mutilating people. I do not believe that type of person deserves compassion.

Same with radovan karadzic, he shows no remorse for directing the genocide of muslims in Bosnia

I do not believe that type of person deserves compassion.

for these cases of terrorists, in my opinion, the compassion is transferable to the parents or other family members if they are alive.

if there is not family and friends, there is the matter of making the person into a martyr... but that is not compassion, that's being practical.

Being completely indifferent to a person does not make them a martyr.

I was injured (slightly) in the 1996 Manchester bombing (my aunt not so lucky). Do i have compassion for the IRA cell that carried out the bombing? No. Do i consider them martyrs? No, they are still living (i believe). I do however consider them to be terrorists and murderers (see warrington bombing).

I am not at all trying to minimize what happened to you or others. I agree with what you said about indifference. If no one cared, they would not be martyrs; you are right.

What if you happened across an animal that had just gotten struck by a vehicle that was alive but clearly in a great deal of pain and clearly had no chance of survival?

Would you consider it compassionate to take the animal's life or would you allow it to suffer until it ultimately passed on its own from injuries?

I won't judge you for your answer. I'm just curious.
