As a New Zealander Im deeply shocked by the massacre of innocent Muslims in my country. They were gathered together in peace at a place of worship. I really appreciate the sentiments of the OP that peoples of all faiths and worldviews (atheists included) stand together. It’s an opportunity for us all to rise above prejudice of all kinds and see ourselves as one people united in diversity.

Today all religious and spiritual communities should stand together with the muslim community and we should be there with them and for them. The Terror that was made toward the two mosques are evil deeds and should be not be taken lightly.

I hope all people who not see them self as religious/spiritual can stand together with the muslims too.

Amen! May God bring peace and safety to Muslims everywhere today. May God give peace, grace and wisdom.

Do we stand together really?

My heart goes out to all, these people. I consider them my brothers and sisters. They are the innocent victims of hate propaganda spread throughout the world on the internet.

They committed no crime. The crime was that people abused their freedom of speech and have been demonizing Muslims for years. This was bound to happen. This is the result of constantly demonizing Muslims.

If you visit forums like Jihad Watch how people are being brainwashed and manipulated to believe all Muslims are evil and violent,

I hope moderators here keep a close watch that RF does not become a party to this hate propaganda by allowing demonization of Muslims or anyone.

Disagree by all means with Islam but please no demonization. It results in the murder eventually of innocent people.

Misunderstanding. I wasn’t meaning you personally. I know you respect all people. I meant in general it’s ok for anyone to have differing views but not ok to demonize. Not you. I meant anyone.

Is that cleared up?

The whole thing is insane with the nutcase streaming it and the manifesto.

As long as differences are used for division and beliefs are used for hate, standing together keeps fading further back. This song is one of my favorites. It hits reality many times.

I just watched it on Liveleaks. Holy hell the entire thing is definitely insane.

I never want to see it. I just know it's out there. I hope various video sites are doing their best to remove all versions. The whole internet martyrdom trend needs to ends.

Correct me if I am wrong but this terrorist attack is not only unique in ideology but in general magnitude for NZ? If I remember correctly for NZ this is the first major terrorist attack in decades or it's history. Am I correct?

If there are videos of the actual shooting I've yet to see it. The video I saw was a 37 second clip of him grabbing his firearms and ending just as he reaches the doors of the mosque.

The nutcase streamed the whole thing live. There are a number of photo captures already floating around in the news from the live stream. I assume someone grabbed it as moderation is a slower process than merely downloading something.
