Would you vote for someone who believes he was born to be President?

There were absolutely times in my life when I tried to get people to call me Robert. Beto O'Rourke

Born to? No. The very idea reeks of a self-righteous messiah complex of a fanatic. Of course I would need to consider the belief to be a genuine one. Politicians will babble about religion regardless of how they conduct themselves. It gets votes.

How about when millions of people believe God wants someone to be President. I hope you know I'm writing of Trump. And according to reports, Pence, believes God has destined him to be President so it surely applies to Pence.

But, of course, your headline was clickbait because the quote you provided said nothing about Beto saying he was destined to be President.

Far worse as they vote. Of course Trump has tapped into this but I do not think his faith is genuine.

Thanks for the info. I thought I was just having addon issues.

I’m pretty sure O’Rourke achieved prominence when the Democrats decided their strategy against Cruz was to out-slime him.

If he manages to win the damned primary I’m leaving the Democrats for good. I’m hopeful though since he hasn’t even been doing well locally, the sleazebag.

I'd rather look into what they had done and what they were running for. A belief like that is common for many people who are skilled and talented at something. I've heard many people believe they were born to do something at which they were sometimes world class, from computers to mountain climbing. So he could be right. This is the first time I've heard of them so I don't know if they're world class or just aspiring to it.

On its own, not a deal breaker.

I would guess the majority of those who have run for President believed they were born to be President. They were just smart enough not to say so.

You should see Pelosi's endorsement of Beto. She can not name a single accomplishment of Beto.

I seem to recall 16 heavyweight members of the Republican party saying a lot of bad things about Donal Trump.

What point are you trying to make?

There were probably a lot more that 16 I bet. However Trump still has some accomplishments.

What point are you trying to make?

That Beto has no accomplishments that stand out in Pelosi's mind.
