Are there any laws about competency?

Are there any laws about competency in the US Congress? Seriously! You need to recall this enviro-nut before she ruins all respectability for your congress.

For years now we've been trying to get pipelines built. One in particular that affects Canadians is the Keystone XL pipeline. Well, the pipeline hasn't even been built yet, but apparently - (Get this!!) IT"S LEAKING!!!!

LOL! Yeah. Leaking! I'm not joking. You just can't make up this kind of stupidity. Who's in charge of this lady anyways? The Keystone Cops?

You usually have to be active in your political party to get support, and that is the main measure of competency. Why do you require IQ tests over there?

"Enviro-nut"? Seriously? Unfortunately, Trudeau has decided that couple cents off the price of oil is more important than out wildlife. Go figure.

Go @AOC. You are driving the right totally wacka-wacka. I'm enjoying watching heads explode. Keep it up.

Must be related to Nancy Pelosi.

The Keystone pipeline is a whole network of lines, much of which is already in place across Canada and the US. Some of it leaks: at least according to TransCanada, the company who owns it.
Report
It is the multiple leaks from the already existing portions of the Keystone network that concern everyone.

In this map, the argued over, and pointless section that we’ve all been hearing about for years is the red line. The rest of it already exists. It’s almost as if the Canadians don’t want this risky pipe on their own land, and have chosen the fastest way to put it on American soil.....or is that put it IN American soil?

So AOC, while talking to stall the XL portion yet to be built through native American lands, and which tRump has allowed to go ahead this year, got her proper names mixed once while discussing the DAPL (already existing and already leaking) and the XL portions. Oh boo hoo.

Or did she?
The map above is sourced from TransCanada (the company that owns Keystone XL), and they are calling the red and the black pipes “XL”.

Oh well. Either way AOC is still right to attempt to stop this disaster-in-the-making.

PS

There is one competency law in government that should be utilized.....the 25th Amendment, section 4, first paragraph. Look it up.

No, but I wish we did.
We could ask the parties to put it into their platforms. The best thing would be for me to lobby the lobbyists about it. I could write a letter to the major political contributors. The idea could gain popularity and result in an amendment to the US constitution. Thereafter our candidates would have to pass a certain IQ test.

So tell me, IF pipelines are such an environmental concern, where were the protestors in Texas? You were aware that they have built 8 of them in the past 2 years inside the state of Texas - aren't you? Yet, not one environut bothered to show up. Ever.

(Apparently, pipelines in Texas don't leak.... Special environut approved technology, I suspect....)

AOC is insignificant to the right. She will be eaten by her own, but not before she ensures a Trump victory in 2020.

Ummmm I seem to recall that you said the "red" section was still un-built - correct?

Start at 1:57; BTW, The Lakota Souix are in South Dakota where the still unbuilt line will eventually run.... 2:04 but was apparently built anyway (without anyone else's knowledge)... 2:07 and has apparently leaked 5 times already.... At 2:14; the pipeline (still unbuilt) leaked 210,000 gallons across South Dakota.

Except, that it didn't. I call BS. This wasn't a mix up at all. "Facts, figures" - I'm surprised she didn't give dates of these imaginary events. She knew exactly what she way saying.

Peter principle.

“The problem with incompetence is its inability to recognize itself.”

Peter principle:
"People in a hierarchy tend to rise to their level of incompetence."
Ie: People get promoted till they reach a position in which they are no longer competent. Thus, leadership positions are often held by incompetents.

HUH??? This statement has got to be the height of lefty lunacy logic. Of course it has to go across American land. The whole point of the project is to get crude to Texas refineries. Where else are you going to run the lines?? Across Zimbabwe?? (Like, duh!!)

(Ya know.... I seem to recall a little pipeline that runs through Canada, originating in Alaska....)

WOW! That's really damning. Perhaps, instead of a video, you could provide actual, in context, quotes made by her.

  1. Maybe most people don't give a **** if a bunch of oil leaks all over Texas. Many would say they deserve it.
  2. What 8 pipelines?

Any comments about any gaffes by any politician from any Trump Sheeple are the epitome of irony hypocrisy.

UPDATE, Feb. 17: As of 759 days, the tally is 8,718 claims

Two years after taking the oath of office, President Trump has made 8,158 false or misleading claims, according to The Fact Checker’s database that analyzes, categorizes and tracks every suspect statement uttered by the president.

That includes an astonishing 6,000-plus such claims in the president’s second year.
I guess a lying President is not as bad as a Congresswoman misstating XLs.

As you can see on the map I provided above (post #7), there already is a Canadian “Keystone XL” pipeline down to the refineries in Texas. You know, the one that has leaked.
Adding the diagonal route will not increase the number of barrels per minute that flow to the refineries. It will simply get the oil out of Canada via a shorter length of pipe; so there is less risk of any spill that will occur, to happen while on Canadian soil. Duh.

As for the Alaskan pipeline.....Nope. No Canadian section.
Mind you, there are proposals for a natural gas line to go from Point Barrow, Alaska to Alberta Canada.

But it hasn’t been built yet.
