If Christians Met Jesus

If Christians met jesus would they possibly be disappointed in him, like the jews who were looking for the coming messiah.

aren't most immature minds, spirits disappointed in their idols, superheros, gods, when they find out they are human?

would you have loved them; if love was your god?

Actually, I net Him at age 28 and wasn't disappointed in Him at all. He changed my life, saved my marriage, performed many miraculous works in healing, in provisions, in manifestations.

I think most Christians would have a similar testimony about when they met Him. :D

The Jews were looking for a Messiah that would fulfill the prophesy completely. Jesus' arrival did not usher in the "Golden Age" as envisioned in the old texts. Other than that, I'm sure they might have thought he was a nice guy after they got to know him....

Best to keep your idols, superheros and gods purely fantasy. Then they can't disappoint.

I think that many Christians would not recognize that he is Jesus if they met him. I know for sure about one thing. If he came and taught anything contrary to The Watchtower Magazine, the Jehovah's Witnesses would not listen to him.

No, and He is more than human. But the first epistle of John makes a good point. Which is that no one can love God whom they have not seen if they hate their brother who they have seen. We must remember all humans are made in the image of God and if we don't love our brother we certainly don't love God who we haven't even seen.

Jesus said 'I'm the real shepherd, not the man who...'

You're probably talking about some other person, so of course you would be dissapointed.

Not only would they be disappointed, they would not even recognize him. Jesus almost certainly was not some skinny pale man who always went around in a white robe and had long hair. The real Jesus was a carpenter so he was strong and muscular. He wore good clothing and the Bible says it is a shame for a man to have long hair. Jesus could walk into any church on Sunday and no one would know who he was.

I will reply with an anecdotal experience an eye witness testimony for what it's worth, I claimed to be atheist for a long time most of my 20s i had lost faith being in the army during oif and having an unloving abusive wife. Even my heart began to fail every part of my life fell apart and I denied my many supernatural experiences from before dissimissing them as childish fantasies , I listened to Sam Harris often and I made fun of religion mostly because I was angry and felt like God failed me, it culminated in my wife cheating on me having a child with another man and leaving me homeless. I then decided while homeless having lost my relationship with my children loosing everything that i would walk across the country with my only my army C bag and clothes. From Dallas Texas on a very rainy night I began walking towards Colorado to find peace or answer of some kind, and I was crying and with every step my tears fell and the rain poured as if crying with me.

Theres alot that happened I saw alot of suffering and I decided that if God wasn't going to save people than I would adventures doing just that. Long story short a miracle took place in California my heart was in a deadly rythm an arythmia and i was rushed to the hospital as I arrived to my bed I saw reality changing and the Spirit smiled and winked at me i was sure I was going to die and I dying and I began to be condemned and i saw sheol , and at that moment I cried out to Jesus Christ saying " Jesus Christ died on the cross for all of my sins and rose again on the third day!" And it all stopped I survived!

After this I developed a very close relationship with the Lord His Spirit taught me I would ask question about the Bible parts that seemed unloving and the pages of the Bible would flip on their own in the wind to the answers . I was commissioned and I helped people I met angels who knew everything about me and I fought the devil quite literally in a magical game of deceit . I failed and do you know what Jesus did ? He sent angels to clean me out and thats when I met Him, He came in and asked the angel ," what did they do to him?" And she replied but I couldn't understand what she said , but I heard Jesus say in compassion," awww man" and then He asked the angel one question ," does he love Me?" And the angel cried out ," yes!" And immediately in the most beautiful child like voice Jesus said," Father I don't want to lose this one" and the matter was resolved it was over, so I've met Him and I can't tell you super duper secret things but what I can tell you is Jesus Christ is Lord God and God is Love!

Love you all God bless thanks for reading

you misunderstood. Jesus said we were all the children of God by the Spirit, not the flesh. We are all Lords of the Lord. The Father is that Lord of Lord's and not the Sons

There is coming soon a day, in which Christians will meet Jesus. And it's not going to be good for them.

Who else besides Christians goes about witnessing in the name of Christ Jesus.

Who else besides Christians, profess to do things in the name of Christ Jesus

Who else besides Christians professes to do wonderful things in the name of Christ Jesus.

In the book of Matthew 7:22-23, Jesus speaking, saying
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity"

Therefore Christians will meet Jesus and it will not be to good for them either.

You're right. Some will have a come to Jesus moment; especially if I am always with you is Jesus' position.

Wait... What?! Philippians 2 makes plain that Jesus gave up Divinity to become human. Jesus was fully human, according to Christian doctrine.

I didn't misunderstand anything, you are presenting verses to your argument, therefore, by verse inference, you are calling Jesus, Lord.

Does that make Jesus the Tetragrammaton? Does that make Jesus part of a Triune? It's textual, and you are choosing one context to interpret a certain way, and another, another.

So, to a trinitarian, your textual usage means that Jesus is divine, and David calls Him Lord. Very direct, very literal. That's the text, in other words.
• now, 'worship in Spirit', what do you think my religious background is? It's always worship in Spirit, you would derive that logically, anyway, no matter what the theism is.
