We believe the Scriptures reveal the demons to be sexually perverted, as per Genesis 6. And their influence is everywhere. Revelation 12:9,12. 1 John 5:19

So, anything goes.

You mean like epilepsy or deafness or insanity?

You have obviously never had an encounter.....believe me, its not something you would want to invite on yourself.

Many of the mental illnesses we see today are the fed by drug and alcohol abuse, (its hard to ascertain which came first) and these expose people to the resulting weaknesses in their self control. The Bible warns against drunkenness because it reduces a person's resistance to outside influences and takes away inhibitions that would normally dictate control of their conduct. The demons will use any weakness in human nature to infiltrate and create more problems for such people. The epidemic of mental illness is now taxing the health systems of many countries as never before.
It is now very dangerous to be a Emergency service worker.....ambulance paramedic....ER nurse...or doctor.
Demons love violence. The entertainment industry is saturated with it, as it is with immorality. The days of Noah were filled with these things as a result of demonic activity. Jesus said it would happen again before this world is brought to its finish. (Matthew 24:37-39)

Not all illnesses in the Bible were said to be the result of demonic activity, but Jesus could obviously tell the difference. He cured thousands of people of all kinds of maladies....apparently the ones caused by demons were singled out for reporting, showing that these illnesses were not just your run of mill human sicknesses but could be caused by the demons. It also showed Jesus' authority over these powerful creatures.

As one who identifies as a "Christian", what else do you doubt?

It's quite interesting. Many of the "Christians" here apparently call themselves that for traditional reasons, but they think the Bible is a primitive fairy tale and they believe only what science tells them is possible.

I think those people are terrified of not living up to the status quo of the intelligentsia. Ironically none of it is real but these people aren't as bright as they think they are. C&P and regurgitation of propaganda.

Those who wish to promote exorcisms and say demons are malevolent beings should not claim to believe in cold viruses, parasites, modern medicines and ideas. All of these are covered by the term demon in the old Galilee. Let demons be what they are: anything that is invisible and untouchable which passes through and affects people including viruses and ideas. When you read of demons speaking in the Bible, take a moment and consider that it might be personification. Please stop promoting nonsensical and bizarre exorcism services.

In ancient times people did not know about such things such as viruses etc....just about everything was attributable to demonic attacks. That does not rule out the demons as living entities. They were once free willed angels serving their God faithfully, until one of them rebelled and influenced others to do the same. If I believe in angels, then why not believe in demons? According to the Bible, we are not the only living beings in existence, nor were we the first.

I can't recall that I ever said anything about exorcisms, as we do not practice such things. But as one who has had unwanted encounters with demons in the past, I can attest that they are very real and very malevolent. This happened through a friend of mine who suffered mental illness and was very susceptible to demonic attacks. During one of her stays with me, she was assailed all night by those unwelcome visitors....the trouble was, they attacked me too in a separate part of the house. Neither of us knew of the other's experience at the time. We were not both affected by the same 'dream'. It was real....I instinctively fought them. It created the most awful feelings imaginable.

Let demons be what they are: anything that is invisible and untouchable which passes through and affects people including viruses and ideas.

Demons are what the Bible says they are....are you saying that Jesus doesn't know what he's talking about? His encounters with these creatures who possessed the bodies of their hapless victims, were verbal and his interactions with them showed his authority over them. It also showed that they know about their fate. (Matthew 8:28-32)

When you read of demons speaking in the Bible, take a moment and consider that it might be personification. Please stop promoting nonsensical and bizarre exorcism services.

I have read the Bible very carefully....the demons are as real as Angels are.....since we practice no bizarre exorcism services, who are you talking to?

Well they were bronze age people.

LOL...what does that even mean? The Egyptians were bronze age people too and one of the most advance civilizations on earth at the time. What is your point?
