Here's a web sight that says the exact opposite written by scholars and the exact opposite of what you said.
Did Jesus Exist? | American Atheists

Thanks.. very interesting..

from your article:

Essentially, the NT is composed of two types of documents: letters and would-be biographies (the so-called gospels). A third category of writing, apocalyptic,Note C of which the Book of Revelation is an example, also exists, but it gives no support for the historicity of Jesus.

In fact, it would appear to be an intellectual fossil of the thought-world from which Christianity sprang – a Jewish apocalypse that was reworked for Christian use.Citation 8

The main character of the book (referred to 28 times) would seem to be “the Lamb,” an astral being seen in visions (no claims to historicity here!), and the book overall is redolent of ancient astrology.

From an atheist website? probably not an unbiased source

As I mentioned, even the radical skeptic Bart Erhman believes Jesus existed.

The article you cited a minority view late dating Mark, however " most scholars believe that the Gospel of Mark was written sometime during the war between Rome and the Jews (66-74)"
see When was the Gospel According to Mark Written?

HAHAHA. A page was sent to my email saying Billy Grahams son has ideas on new evidence for Christian having existed! I get o the page its a picture of him preaching not a video LOL! And its has nothing about any new evidence on Christ! LMFAO! All it is is a long page description of the Graham books and their family!Must have been a trick.

The fact that Christians fill the need to bring new evidence in for Christ just means they are feeling weakened by historians scientists and Atheists who are bringing the real truth to people. maybe the Christian faith is just a bit threatened. Why tell a lie to sell the Grahams books?

Sounds like clickbait.
The Gospel isn't clickbait. The Gospel wasn't into "proving" anything
outside your own experience.
Some Jews sought to "disprove" Jesus was the Messiah because
they said he was a Galilean and of the tribe of Zebulon, and the
true Messiah is from the line of Judah and from Bethlehem. It is not
recorded that Jesus answered this at all.

This debate reminds me about a talk given by a current Indian mystic who goes by the title "Sadhguru" - if anyone is interested - just a YouTube search for his name will suffice - this guy usually takes the middle approach - someone asked him about the existence or veracity of the Indian epic Mahabharat - the answer was illuminating - "Whether it happened or not - it would behoove us to learn from the teachings the self improvement and lessons of kindness and charity that were taught. Leave the rest for scholars to figure out" - may be that is the best we can do.

When it comes to the so called historical Jesus, Christians prefer that we test their faith.

George Carlin liked to poke fun at the "invisible man in the sky" of Christian belief,
the man who made the universe.
I am not sure his own idea of no-one making the universe - not even the universe,
is in fact funnier and more of a miracle than an outside entity.

I think (for myself) the trouble starts when we start ascribing human like emotions and needs to the Almighty "Worship me alone" "Don't do that!"
From a poem in Sikhism - we can only grasp at mere superficial attributes - understanding the entirety of this being / entity is beyond our capabilities

Why did Jesus meet such a violent death?

Well - a lot of individuals who publicly oppose the powerful and the rich - have gone that way

Jesus is one example - There is Guru Arjan and Guru Tegh Bahadur -

But as some hold the view - He (Jesus) died to pay the blood ransom for the sins of humanity - that is another explanation that is offered as well
