What the heck new evidence for Christ?

I'm talking about the Bible. Poking fun at Graham is a distraction not appropriate to today, the Lord's day.

From the older books like Judges, the tribe of Dan fell into idolotry
and surprise surprise... archeological confirmation

Israelites in Biblical Dan Worshipped Idols – and Yahweh Too

Israel is famously the place where the three great monotheist religions arose – but the truth about our forefathers is that they didn't seem to have scorned idol gods quite as assiduously as we might like to think.

Do you need proof that Jesus existed?

The vast majority of historians agree Jesus did exist and was crucified
That includes the radical skeptic Bart Erhman "But as a historian I think evidence matters. And the past matters. And for anyone to whom both evidence and the past matter, a dispassionate consideration of the case makes it quite plain: Jesus did exist."

He not only existed but the consensus of historians would go on and say his tomb was empty
and his disciples came to believe Jesus rose from the dead

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

If you see a movie set in New York, and later discover New York is a real place, that doesn't make the story in the movie "true". That seems to be the basic argument of all the evidence you're presenting here. Finding evidence of a street that Biblical figures MIGHT have walked on is not actually evidence for the existence of those Bible figures, let alone that they did anything the Bible says they did.

I think Jesus existed. I am not sure about walking on water and such.. I suspect the gospel writers were gilding the lily... and tweaking the story to make Jesus fit the OT predictions of an anointed warrior king.

HAHAHA. A page was sent to my email saying Billy Grahams son has ideas on new evidence for Christian having existed! I get o the page its a picture of him preaching not a video LOL! And its has nothing about any new evidence on Christ! LMFAO! All it is is a long page description of the Graham books and their family!Must have been a trick.

The fact that Christians fill the need to bring new evidence in for Christ just means they are feeling weakened by historians scientists and Atheists who are bringing the real truth to people. maybe the Christian faith is just a bit threatened. Why tell a lie to sell the Grahams books?

Deception is nothing new in promoting religion.

A few years ago there was a knock on my door, 2 guys proceeded to talk about health and offered me a magazine in NHS colours with a NHS logo.

After they left i picked up the mag. Front page featured a story on keeping your heart healthy, what to eat, exercise etc.

Opened it up, the inner cover was blank and carefully stapled in was a copy of watchtower.

It appears that your very own imagination about what you suspect the writers were up to has you convinced Jesus existed.

You could say that. I just don't really believe in magic or the supernatural.

I came across this recently and it expresses what I think of prophets as well.

It is common to think of prophecy as predictions, but to an Israelite mind prophecy is primarily a proclamation of previously known truth, a call to return and not to forget the important matters. Thus, the Book of Revelation can be called an apocalyptic letter containing prophecy, combining at least three genres in one document (apocalyptic, epistolary and prophetic).

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I think burnt toast ranks as some of the best evidence to date, see what Graham comes up with.
My favorite was the virgin Mary at the bottom of a peanut tin.

Fella had crosses, candles, and Ava Maria playing in the background.

You make an excellent point. A portrayal can certainly be at odds of which it's based on.

WHy is it that I keep hearing vast majority of Historian claim Jesus existed and when I keep reading websights from Historians who say the exact opposite. Ive read lots of Historic material that says he does not exist.

I think its quite plain Jesus did not exist.

Can you name an historian who said Jesus didn't exist?

Here's a web sight that says the exact opposite written by scholars and the exact opposite of what you said.
