The woman caught in adultery

The Scriptures reveal that there were only two women by the name 'MARY,' at the crufixion, the burial, and the empty tomb of Jesus, and they are as follows.

Luke 24: 10; does not name the women at the cross of Jesus, nor does he name the women at the burial of Jesus, but he does name the two women by the name “Mary,” who went to the empty tomb on Sunday morning and they were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James (The brother of the Lord.)

Mark 15: 40; mentions the name of the two women at the cross of Jesus, by the name Mary, as Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James the younger and Joseph, two of the brothers of Jesus who were born of the same womb as he.

Mark 15: 47; Then goes on to say, that the two women by the name Mary, who watched the burial of Jesus, were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph, the second son of Mary who was sired by Joseph the son of Jacob, the first husband of Mary.

Then at the empty tomb, Mark 16: 1; identifies the two women by the name Mary as, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James the younger of her three biological sons, “Jesus, Joseph, and James the younger.”

Matthew 27: 56 reveals the names of two of the women at the cross of Jesus and they are, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, two of the three biological sons of Mary, the third and first born, being Jesus himself.

Then in 27: 61; Matthew identifies the two women who witnessed the burial of Jesus, as Mary Magdalene and the “OTHER” Mary. By saying the “OTHER” Mary, he reveals that there are only two women present by the name Mary, not three or more, but only two, and that the “OTHER” Mary he is referring to is Mary the mother of James and Joseph, who he already stated was at his cross.

Matthew reinforces this by stating that at the empty tomb of Jesus, the only two women present by the name Mary, were Mary Magdalene and the “OTHER” Mary, who we know from Matthew 27: 56; to be Mary the biological mother of Jesus, Joseph and James the younger.

This reveals that the gospel authors, have only two women by the name Mary at the crucifixion, burial, and empty tomb of Jesus, and they are Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus, James and Joseph.

John 19: 25; Reveals who those two women by the name Mary are and what their relationship to each other is, when he says, “Standing close to the cross of Jesus, were his mother and his mother’s adelphe (And they are), Mary the mother of Jesus, who is the wife of Cleophas, her second husband, and her adelphe, Mary Magdalene.

Seeing you have it all wrong, As do alot of other people.
that there are 3 ( Three ) Mary's being spoken about in scriptures

So who do you suppose is the third Mary?

You have Mary the mother of Jesus
number #1

And Mary Magdalene as number #2

But who is this third Mary as number #3

Many people believe as you do, that there were only two Mary's at the cross of Jesus.

But however there were 3 Mary's at the cross of Jesus.
In the book of Matthew 27:55-61

55---" And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.

57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

58 He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre"

So who do you suppose is this other Mary to be.
Like alot of people take this to be Mary the mother of Jesus, Unto which it is not.

Now if you go back to verse 56 above, here you will find ( Mary Magdalene)
And ( Mary) the mother of James and Jose's. Which is also the mother of Jesus.

Matthew 13:55---" 55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas"

So we find two Mary's, But the question is.
Who is the third Mary, That is found sitting with Mary Magdalene at the sepulchre of Jesus.
Have you any idea who this other Mary is,
it does tell in the bible who she is.

So you have Mary the mother of Jesus

And Mary Magdalene

But who is this third Mary?
That was sitting with Mary Magdalene at the sepulchre ( tomb) of Christ Jesus.

Many people will say, this is Mary the mother of Jesus, unto which it is not.

And how exactly do we know this for sure,
Because in Matthew 27:56, here we find Mary the mother of Jesus being mentioned of,
Where as in verse 61 here we find Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, So we know this is not Mary the mother of Jesus.
Otherwise the verse 61 would haved stated so.
So the question remains, Who is this other Mary, as the bible does say who this other Mary is.
#1-- Mary the mother of Jesus
#2 -- Mary Magdalene
#3 -- the other Mary ?

The Anointed……. There was no third woman by the name 'Mary' at the crucifixion, Burial, or empty tomb of Jesus.

Faithofchristian wrote……. Many people believe as you do, that there were only two Mary's at the cross of Jesus. But however there were 3 Mary's at the cross of Jesus.

The Anointed……. Sorry mate, but there were only two women there by the name ‘MARY.’.

Faithofchristian wrote……. In the book of Matthew 27:55-61; 55---" And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: 56 Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.

The Anointed…….. And where does it say that the mother of Zebedees children is named ‘MARY?” NOWHERE!

Mark 15: 40; “Many women were there, looking from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of the younger James and Joseph, and Salome.

We know that the Evangelists wrote in Greek rather than in Hebrew, and at that time only the capital letters of the Greek alphabet were used in writing, without diacritics, punctuation, or separation between words. Lower case letters appeared only in the ninth century, together with spacing between words. Punctuation marks were introduced only with the invention of the printing press in the 15th century. The present separations of chapters was introduced by Cardinal Hugo in the 13th century.

“WOMANWITHOUTHERMANISNOTHING.” Doesn’t make much sense, does it? Let us now separate the words. “Woman without her man is nothing,” that seems better doesn’t it? But without punctuation, what is being said here? “Woman without her man, is nothing;” or “Woman! Without her, man is nothing.”

Mark 15: 40; Could well have originally meant to read, “Many women were there, looking from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger, Joseph, and Salome.” Three children from the family of Mary the mother of Jesus.

The Mother of Zebedees children, is Salome the sister of Jesus and mother of James the elder and John. It was she who asked her brother Jesus, if her two sons, who Jesus had named “SONS OF THUNDER,” could sit on his left and right when he inherited the throne of King David.

Matthew 13:55---" 55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas" 56 And his sisters, are they not all with us?

Faithofchristian wrote…….

The Anointed……. John 19: 41; Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb where no one had ever been laid.

So John reveals that the tomb in which Jesus had been laid, had never before received a dead body, while Matthew reveals that the tomb, in which no body had ever been previously laid, was the family tomb of Joseph.

Faithofchristian wrote……. 61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre"

So who do you suppose is this other Mary to be.

The Anointed……… Who is the ‘OTHER’ Mary who, with Mary Magdalene was at the burial and empty tomb of Jesus? She was the only OTHER woman by the name Mary, who Matthew had just told you, was at the cross of Jesus. Mary the mother of James and Joseph, the brothers of Jesus.

Faithofchristian wrote……. Like alot of people take this to be Mary the mother of Jesus, Unto which it is not.

Not so fast, when the woman was brought to Christ Jesus to ask of him, whether the woman should be stoned for her adultery.

Jesus knew the law of Moses, that in the law as stated in the book of Leviticus 20:10---"And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death"

Therefore without the man, there is no case of Adultery.
That they couldn't stone the woman without man there also.

Yes, there was lots of speculation on this, for example, what if one of the Pharisees was the man?!

Of course, stoning was disallowed under Roman occupation.

The question wasn't whether or not the woman could be stoned according to Roman law.
But whether or not she could be stoned in accordance to the law of Moses.

But according to the law of Moses before a woman can be stoned for adultery,
The man also that is caught with her is to be stoned also with her in accordance to the law of Moses.

Leviticus 20:10-- "And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death"

So the question is, Where exactly was the man at, seeing how they brought to Jesus the woman, but no man. So they couldn't stone that woman without the man also being there.

Do you think that's why they walked out when He wrote in the sand? He wrote, "No man I can see"?

It's not hard to figure out exactly what Christ Jesus was writing in the sand, Seeing how one by one they all started to leave.
Now what would cause those men to leave one by one looking to seeing what Christ Jesus was writing in the sand and then one by one leaving.

If Jesus wasn't gay, maybe he was in a relationship with that Mary. Whatever the case, I hope he had a good sex life.

Yes, there was lots of speculation on this, for example, what if one of the Pharisees was the man?!

Of course, stoning was disallowed under Roman occupation.

And what book you bin readin mate? The Jews didn’t think twice about stoning the innocent Stephen to death.

Because Jesus was so popular with the Jewish punters. The chief priests were too afraid to condemn him according to their own laws, even though Pilate told them to take him and crucify him themselves, but out of fear that the people would revolt against them, they needed him to be condemned by the Romans, that’s why, when Pilate tried to free Jesus, the Jewish authorities cried out, “If you set him free, that means that you are not Caesar’s friend, every man who makes himself a king sets himself against Caesar.

Pilate was then forced to condemn the man Jesus.

So don’t keep deceiving yourself son. The Jews could and did stone people to death, who defied the laws of Moses while they were under Roman occupation.

The reason why they could not and did not stone the mother of Jesus to death, was because they knew that she was innocent of any crime according to their law, even though she had remarried while her original husband who had divorced her, was still alive.

They devised their sneaky little scheme in order to trap Jesus according to his new teaching, which stated that if a person remarried while their original spouse was still alive, they were committing adultery. While the law of Moses allowed for a divorcee to remarry.

John 8: 4-6; “Teacher” they said to Jesus, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" They were using this question AS A TRAP, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

They did not and could not condemn her, who was innocent of any crime according to the law of Moses. Nor did her legal second husband Cleophas/Alpheaus need to be there.

Why do you believe this woman's husband was Cleophas?

Will you balance your view with the two praetoriums (one Gentile, one Jewish) in Jerusalem, that went unused while Stephen was killed in a fit of rage? And other incidents, like in the Acts where the people's will was superseded by Roman intervention?

Does the bible identify the woman who was supposed to have been caught in Adultery.

Most think it was Mary Magdalene .. but that's iffy.. Magdala was a title or maybe a location .. Magdala was a town on the Western edge of the Sea of Galilee. She comes up so often in scripture that most Christians believe she must have been very special to Jesus.

The Anointed........ The Scriptures reveal that there were only two women by the name 'MARY,' at the crucifixion, the burial, and the empty tomb of Jesus, and they are as follows.

Luke 24: 10; does not name the women at the cross of Jesus, nor does he name the women at the burial of Jesus, but he does name the two women by the name “Mary,” who went to the empty tomb on Sunday morning and they were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James (The brother of the Lord.) “Only two women by the name Mary; “Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus, Joseph and James.”

Mark 15: 40; mentions the name of the two women at the cross of Jesus, by the name Mary, as Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James the younger and Joseph, two of the brothers of Jesus who were born of the same womb as he. “Only two women by the name Mary; “Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus, Joseph and James.”

Mark 15: 47; Then goes on to say, that the two women by the name Mary, who watched the burial of Jesus, were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph, the second son of Mary who was sired by Joseph the son of Jacob, the first husband of Mary. “Only two women by the name Mary; “Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus, Joseph and James.”

Then at the empty tomb, Mark 16: 1; identifies the two women by the name Mary as, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James the younger of her three biological sons, “Jesus, Joseph, and James the younger.” “Only two women by the name Mary; “Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus, Joseph and James.”

Matthew 27: 56 reveals the names of two of the women at the cross of Jesus and they are, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, two of the three biological sons of Mary, the third and first born, being Jesus himself. “Only two women by the name Mary; “Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus, Joseph and James.”

Then in 27: 61; Matthew then identifies the two women who witnessed the burial of Jesus, as Mary Magdalene and the “OTHER” Mary. The OTHER Mary, being Mary the mother of James and Joseph, who he had already stated was at the crucifixion.

By saying the “OTHER” Mary, he reveals that there are only two women present by the name Mary, not three or more, but only two, and that the “OTHER” Mary he is referring to is Mary the mother of James and Joseph, who he already stated was at his cross. Only two women by the name Mary; “Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus, Joseph and James.”

Only two women by the name Mary; “Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus, Joseph and James.”

This reveals that the gospel authors, have only two women by the name Mary at the crucifixion, burial, and empty tomb of Jesus, and they are Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus, James and Joseph.

John 19: 25; Reveals who those two women by the name Mary are and what their relationship to each other is, when he says, “Standing close to the cross of Jesus, were his mother and his mother’s adelphe (And they are), Mary the mother of Jesus, (who is the wife of Cleophas, her second husband,) and her adelphe, Mary Magdalene.

James the brother of the Lord, being born of the same womb as Jesus, was sired by Alpheaus, who is also called ‘Cleophas.

In the subject guide of ‘Young’s Analytical Concordance to the Bible, it is said that Cleophas the husband of Mary is one and the same person as Alpheaus.

Jesus was the biological son of Joseph the son of Alexander Helios III, who was a father of renown, who was seen as a threat to the throne of Herod the Great, and murdered at his command in 13 B.C., when his daughter, Mary the mother of Jesus was only seven years old.

It was not uncommon in those days, for the men of Galilee to carry three names, one in Hebrew, one in Greek and one in Aramaic.

Jude, the half- brother of Jesus, was called the ‘TWIN,’ he is also called Thomas=Tau’ma, which is the Aramiac for twin, Thomas Jude is also called Didymus, which is the Greek for twin, he is Thomas/twin, Didymus/twin, Jude, the half-brother of Jesus and the son of the carpenter.

Joseph, the biological father of Jesus, was the son of Heli=Alexander Helios III, who was a father of renown, and Joseph (HEBREW) is also called, ‘Cleophas’ the masculine form of ‘Cleopatra,’ which name in Greek means, “OF A RENOWN FATHER,’ and Cleophas is one and the same person as Alpheaus, the father of James the younger, which name is the Aramaic for, ‘OF A RENOWN FATHER.’

Joseph [Hebrew] Cleophas [Greek] Alpheaus [Aramaic] one person who was sired by Alexander Helios III, a father of renown.

I hope that is of some help to you.

The Anointed ………..Anyone who has only a scant knowledge of the NT, will know that most of the miracles that were performed by our Lord and savour through his obedient earthly host body, ‘The man Jesus,’ were performed in northern Israel.

The feeding of the five thousand, plus the feeding of the four thousand, the healing of the blind man at Bethsaida, ETC, Jesus himself reveals this in Matthew 11: 20; where it is said; “The people in the towns where he performed MOST of his miracles did not turn from their sins. So he reproached those towns. “How terrible will it be for you, Chorazin? How terrible for you too Bethsaida? If the miracles which were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have long ago, put on sackcloth ETC, ETC.

But the Lord through Jesus, did perform miracles in Jerusalem also. Jesus would never miss the great festival of Passover in Jerusalem, to where people from many nations would be gathered, and were forced to exchange their currency through the dishonest money changers in the temple Grounds at those time.

In fact, it was about a week before the Passover in which HE, the earthly IMAGE of the reality of the Passover Lamb was to be slaughtered, that he made his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, when the crowds strew his pathway with Palm branches, while crying out; “BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.”

Verifying that the people of his day, believed that he was the one that the Lord chose from among the Israelites, and put his words into his mouth and sent him to speak in his name, as revealed in Deuteronomy 18: 18-19.

“I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put MY WORDS in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. 19 I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to MY WORDS that the prophet speaks in my name.”

After seeing the dishonest money changers plying their thieving trade, Jesus returned to the house of Simon/Lazarus in Bethany, where he was staying, and made himself a whip, with which, next say he flogged the hell out of those thieving mongrels, turning over their tables and driving them out of the temple grounds like the mob of pigs that they were.

A few days after being anointed by Mary the sister of Simon/Lazarus, Jesus was crucified.
