There's no evidence for the flood or Exodus or for the death of the Egyptian 1st born. There's no evidence that Joshua destroyed any Canaanite cities. There's no evidence that Herod killed all the baby boys.

Maybe they made it all up to make themselves powerful and important?

Old Testament Mass Killings

I can only argue with the bible, not every website that thinks it has an opinion

He does. God does have the moral authority to determine whether I deserve to live or die because God created me and thus what is morally right or wrong, what is true and what is just in my reality depend on who He is. God is not capable of murder because He is the only one justified in taking a human life.

...

If God created and gave us the gift of life, which ultimately is His property, not ours, and He entrusts us with it to use for good and not for evil, does He not also have the right to reclaim that life when it is abused? Of course He does.

That is just wrong and messed up on so many levels.

Let's say "some" believe it. There are three possibilities. It never happened, God did it, or the people did it and blamed God.

Any other possibilities?

Old Testament Mass Killings

It doesn't matter. The fact is people believe this is their God. It's right there in the Bible! And the Bible says it's true. It's right there in the Bible! Because it's in the Bible. And the Bibl...

"Wrong. Let’s consider what makes murder wrong in the first place. Murder is wrong because humans have inherent worth and value, and because nobody is in moral authority over another person. I don’t have the right to kill someone because I do not have the authority to judge or determine whether somebody else deserves to die. This is precisely why there is debate over whether the death penalty is murder. Do those in charge of our legal system have the moral authority to decide whether someone deserves to live? I don’t know, but I do know that if God exists, He does. God does have the moral authority to determine whether I deserve to live or die because God created me and thus what is morally right or wrong, what is true and what is just in my reality depend on who He is. God is not capable of murder because He is the only one justified in taking a human life."
Can God Commit Genocide? | Power to Change - Students

No, lets lets about the population of the world (including innocent and unborn children) that the bible claims your god took the life of.

Lets talk about the innocent firstborn children that the bible says your god killed in egypt.

If you believe your god has authority to remove life then that is your cross to bare, wear it well.

And the word of a christian apologetics website is hardly compelling evidence that a bronze age myth has authority to kill

Its just a quick list of the Bible's mass killings.. not commentary.

Killings performed by or condoned by the god of the bible

And its a very long winded list with quite a lot of commentary

Have you got so little faith in the human race?
As a human, I love the human race, but I also know that in all honestly we fall short. Do you watch the news? Do you see your own self-centeredness? I do (speaking of my own). I am not going to delude myself into thinking humans can save themselves. I am thankful for a Savior who offers to make all things new.

The news is sensationalist and focuses on a few (perhaps a few 10s) of people, there are 5.5 billion people in the world.

My self centeredness? Considering you know nothing about me i consider that an insult

Me, yes humans have to do it, how many times has praying saved a life?

I never said there was evidence, I did say the bible says so and many people believe and excuse the bible because it is the bible and they believe the bible cannot be wrong because its the bible.

Re-read the post. ... I said - (speaking of my own) in reference to my self-centeredness, not yours.

You said and I quote 'Do you see your own self-centeredness?'

I thought you were better than that

How? Do you believe God should let evil continue for eternity rather than deal with or eliminate it?

By killing his creations, and justifying it by "I made it, so I can destroy it"? o_O And so far he's done a marvelous job of eliminating evil.

How do you explain all the millions of people who've lived good, moral lives throughout human history without any knowledge of your God and savior? What are they to be saved from? Are they saved? Or are they destined for hell?

Apparently hell has a lot of room. 6 billion plus.
