Cohen: “Trump is a racist, in private he is even worse.”

That is totally wrong. Somehow you've managed to ignore all the stories about policy attacks on the current regime including the House voting to terminate his so-called "emergency".
It might be a matter of perspective.
Try starting a thread about a policy matter on RF.
Before long the anti-Trumpettes will arrive, & make it about his being
a racist, a pu$$y grabber, a liar, etc with all sorts of colorful epithets.
When I had a thread about the First Step Act, I couldn't get any
anti-Trumper to admit it was positive. Hating Trump is their primary
value in life.

It's just sad that Mr Cohen has already shown that he has no honesty or integrity.

How did the US electoral system get any of these folks in to such important and powerful positions?

Is it time for the USA to look more carefully in to itself?

Diversity is chaotic and I'm not talking about skin color.

Every four to eight years we get a new government with its own agenda based on whatever impulse happen to capture the attention of the American people at the time. Folks volt for politicians who play on their wishes.

Nothing really gets done as issues bounce back and forth between the two ruling parties.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I’ve been saying it. Others have been saying it, but I guess the Trump base can’t hear it. Mr. Cohen can you speak louder for the people in back please?

Wow. The liberal version of a suddenly credible witness!

Somehow I suspect this is not going to transform Washington into a hodgepodge of responsible ethical politics going into the future.

Anyways, if people are going to accuse anybody of anything, the best would be to catch them red-handed at being a racist for all the public to see. I can't see one way or another on the issue until something solid comes along that settles the matter.

I'm not going to view Cohen's words as being proof positive. This guy is going to say anything to anybody to perserve his own skin. He's running on self preservation.

Isn't credibility always based upon agreement with the testimony?

Cohen is in a bad spot. He is either a stooge for Trump and incompetent lawyer or a criminal and an incompetent lawyer

'Unhinged madman': Former U.S. budget director says Trump is 'conducting 4 wars on the economy'

A former U.S. government official believes President Donald Trump is severely hurting the American economy in various ways.

“We have a delusional, unhinged madman in the Oval Office, and anything is possible,” David Stockman, the former director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) under President Ronald Reagan, told Yahoo Finance’s The Ticker (video above). “He's conducting four wars on the American economy, and it's not going to make it great again.”

Stockman, who just published Peak Trump: The Undrainable Swamp And The Fantasy Of MAGA, argued that Trump is waging a trade war, a border war, a political war against the Fed, and a war on the nation’s solvency.

So when he was supporting Trump he was telling the truth? You are not being consistent.

Strawman. I never said he was telling the truth at any point. You are projecting a fiction from your head and responding to it. Congratulations you can talk to yourself. Less talking to yourself and more responding to the post I made. Try again son.

The Republicans look desperate in this testimony.

He said/He said. Nothing of substance.

They are not interested in finding anything out, all that they want to do is to try to attack Cohen.

Gee I wonder why people are not trusting the word of a convicted liar as gospel like leftist are. I am shocked....

Cohen went to the worst law school in the country. No top tier guys would ever work for Trump. He never paid his bills.

Orbit

I'm a planet
Why is anyone surprised that Trump is a racist? Or a sexist? Or a xenophobe? Or bigoted against the disabled? None of this is news, it beyond me how Cohen's testimony even matters, it's just one more nail in the coffin that Trump himself has been hammering at for years.

You're right.. Its just another sad affirmation.

I wonder if this will be a dealbreaker for his base...I suspect not.

Depends on what evidence Cohen can provide. I've personally no reason to trust anything Cohen says, or any other lawyer/politician says for that matter. People can say whatever they want. IMO no point in listening unless they can provide evidence to back up their statements.

No proof- no prize
Helen Reddy.......
Once again, no "proof" needed. You could not even name the supposed "claim". But then your side is in the middle of a crash and burn. Look how pathetic the Republicans look in Congress. All of them should know that criminals are often given a chance to set the record straight. All they can do is to attack the messenger, they totally fail at attacking the message.

What makes you think that he is an incompetent lawyer? He is in a bad spot. He helped a friend and when he was caught his friend threw him to the sharks instead of owning up to his own involvement.

Let's try to think logically instead of emotionally. He admitted to paying off Stormy Daniels. Daniels admits being paid off. The only one not telling the truth is the person that messed around with Stormy and had to pay her off. Can you think of any logical reason that Cohen would have paid off Stormy on his own?
