It was a joke?
*peers suspiciously*

Meh, in that case, as you were.
Let's tell an atheist joke, just to lighten the mood.

How can you tell which one at the wailing wall is the atheist?

He's the one holding a harpoon gun.
I haven't figured out a funny answer yet.

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
I dont accept that nihilism leads to evil.

It leads to despair.

A righteous God would make an good atheist glad to be wrong.

Evolution and atheism have no bearing on whether a person is good or evil.

Just as religion has no bearing on it either.

You are what you love to be and your worldview has nothing to do with it.

What a person loves is what they choose to be.
God and evolution dont matter to that fact.
As i see it you are who you are regardless.

Im sure God will get along just fine with a genuine atheist.

Some things only a person can decide for themselves who or what they are gonna be.

"How many atheists does it take to change a light bulb?"

I haven't figured out a funny answer yet.

Atheists are materialists.
Materialists have a lot of money.
Materialistic Atheists pay theistic illegal immigrants to replace light bulbs.

So genocide is objectively evil? Hmmm......kinda puts the Old Testament in a new light, eh?
You left out the genocides in the Bible.........
It is not just people committing genocide, in the Old Testament, but that “God” ordering genocide to be carried out through prophets, like Joshua ordering it at Jericho in (Book of) Joshua, or Samuel ordering Saul against the Amalekites in 1 Samuel, where even children and babies weren’t spared.

Sounds like a facile rationalization. God commands one behavior as an eternal principle, but commands its opposite when it suits His purpose -- which appears to be conquest, particularly in the OT. This doesn't jibe with submissive, pacific tone of most of the NT.

Makes it even worse, IMO.

So many personal opinions posted so far but no refutations that these dictators said they were atheists and/or evolutionists.

These dictators stated in their own words that they were atheists and/or evolutionists. See sources listed.

Yet there were plenty of scoundrels who confessed one religion or another. and quite a few who used it as a motivation or justification for their misdeeds.
Does atheism disinhibit a psychopath, or is it just another symptom of his psychopathy?

"Evolutionists?" I don't see a clear connection, here.
How about plate techtonicnists, relativitists, or heliocentrists?
How do these beliefs impact anti social behavior?

You mean... ignoring the 'rightous' genocides in the bible that happend by god's command?

The response from atheists is that these dictators were motivated by communism and not by atheism or Darwinism. In other words, its only a coincidence that almost all of the genocidal dictators of the 20th Century - basically a 'Who's Who' List of dictators were all evolutionists and/or atheists. In addition, since the dictator could not have done the millions of killings himself, he had to employ thousands who shared his values and philosophies to help him.

First of all, many of these men on your list had mustaches!!!

Secondly, the nazi's had "got mit uns" on their belt buckles.

Thirdly, none of these attrocities were commited in the name of atheism / evolution, nore where they motivated by it.

Fourth, PLENTY of attrocities actually ARE and WERE and WILL BE commited in the name of a religion and motivated by it.

Fifth, the most irrelegious secular democracies also dominate the top tier of lists of countries where life is best (highest societal indexes, least crime, most hapiness, etc).

Simply stating quotes are taken "out of context" without DEMONSTRATING that they were "out of context" is easy but also unfair.

These people SAID they were evolutionists and/or atheists, and murdered millions along with their minions.

1) Please DEMONSTRATE how it was taken out of context.

2) If you believe it was just an unfortunate coincidence that they stated they were evolutionists and/or atheists, please state you believe it is all a coincidence. Coincidences do happen, right?

Thank you.

John Garang was a self-labeled "Christian Marxist" and he killed a lot of people over a 20 year period in Sudan.

So? I'm sure they also believed in gravity. What gives?

You are the one claiming that there is a causatal relationship between their atheism / understanding of biology and their war crimes.

Upto you to provide evidence for it.

You can start by explaining why atheists like me have no interest whatsoever to go on a killing spree

So what if they were? What is the actual point you're trying to make here?

Your entire diatribe is refuted by the simple statement "correlation does not imply causation".

You need to actually demonstate the causal link, not just assert it.
You have given us nothing that requires any refutation. All it requires, is pointing out the fallacies.

These dictators stated in their own words that they were atheists and/or evolutionists.

So what?

relativists are the worst of them all.

They created the atomic bomb, you know!
