Science is a false God

Maximilian

Daniel was never in Babylon.. The Book of Daniel was written about 165 BC.. Years and years after the Babylonian exile.

The second part of Isaiah differs in style from the work of First Isaiah, and was written by an anonymous author during the Babylonian Exile, more than a hundred years after the death of First Isaiah. To distinguish this author, he is often referred to as Second Isaiah or as Deutero-Isaiah.

If you're not going to present any evidence for your claims how is anyone supposed to believe you?

God does not tolerate evil so, sooner or later, all who are evil will answer to him. That's what the JW preaches.

Because that's what the Bible teaches and we always, always teach directly from the Bible:

"When I say to someone wicked, ‘Wicked one, you will surely die!’ but you do not speak out to warn the wicked one to change his course, he will die as a wicked man because of his own error, but I will ask his blood back from you.

But if you warn someone wicked to turn back from his way and he refuses to change his course, he will die for his error, but you will certainly save your own life.

‘“As surely as I am alive,” declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, “I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that someone wicked changes his way and keeps living. Turn back, turn back from your bad ways, for why should you die?" -Ezekiel 33:8, 9, 11

Wherever people who behave and believe like this go?

I wouldn't want to be within a row of them. Especially for eternity.

This is hateful, arrogant speech that humanists recognize and reject for obvious reasons. In fact, a great many religious people reject this type of thinking.

It's nasty, ignorant, and insane. No thanks. Stay the hell off my porch from now on.

You misunderstand. Contemporary research shows that individuals with ASD have cognitive processing styles which hamper human spirituality while the Neurotypical have all inherited a variety of biological predispositions for spirituality, hence my query. Disqus - Square Pegs, Round Holes

You make a nonsensical assertion. To lend an aura of credence to it, you quote from an article. A quick look shows it was posted on a religious website. Religious websites are not usually a good source for real science. We look further to see who authored the article and what his credentials are.

Golly, it was written by someone going by the name Maxximiliann.

This article that you implied was "contemporary research" is nothing more than a blog post by someone whose name is uncannily similar to yours.

Did you really think no one would check? Really?

Actually, the research in question is cited from Experimenting with Spirituality: Analyzing The God Gene in a Nonmajors Laboratory Course.

Your hit piece failed spectacularly but it was a good attempt, I guess. I give you an "E" for effort! And it's nice to finally see who you really are :)

Here, let me fix your Strawman-

"Adam & Eve disobey God - exactly as (Omniscient God knew they would kept himself from knowing their futures out of deference to their Free Will.)

When did god tell you He intentionally kept himself in the dark?

In the end, after many decades, these evil ones exhaust his patience and he has no choice but to kills every man, woman, child, fetus, and embryo with the exception of the good Noah and his family whom he saves."

Your own words, he killed "every man, woman, child, fetus, and embryo with the exception of the good Noah and his family" because his creations had exhausted his patience.

Your eternal god did nothing for almost all of eternity. Then he spent six days making everything. His work was so poor that, just a couple of thousand years later, his creation got so bad that it exhausted his patience.

He started over. A couple of thousand years later things had gotten bad again. Did he turn off his omniscience again? You would think after his Adam & Eve fiasco he would have taken a quick look ahead to see if the incestuous Noah family experiment would turn out better.

No. According to the WHO, 56,000,000 babies are murdered by their mothers annually: Preventing unsafe abortion

The article at your link does not say "56,000,000 babies are murdered by their mothers annually".

Why would you make such a false assertion?

Do you think we are all so gullible that we believe anything you post?

Here are some real quotes from the article.
Abortions are safe if they are done with a method recommended by WHO
Women, including adolescents, with unwanted pregnancies, often resort to unsafe abortion when they cannot access safe abortion. Barriers to accessing safe abortion include:

  • restrictive laws
  • poor availability of services
  • high cost
  • stigma
  • conscientious objection of health-care providers and
Most of these barriers are the result of religious lobbying and religious pressure from people who believe like you do.

Are you opposed to education?
Daniel

Assumptions are facts? Seriously? Are you really so jejune?

So let's take a look at the facts. Daniel dates the outset of his book as “the third year of the kingship of Jehoiakim the king of Judah.” (Daniel 1:1) This is to say, 618 B.C.E, Jehoiakim’s third year as tributary king to Nebuchadnezzar. And, since Daniel recounts how he was taken to Babylon along with other royal offspring and nobles it's obvious he spent the bulk of his adult life in Babylon. (Daniel 1:3-6)

[Now, and be totally honest, does any of this read like I'm opposed to education?]

What a curious thing to say . . .

I'd like to understand you better, if I could. To that end, permit me to inquire, if I may, have you ever been assessed for ASD? ([Self-Test] Autism Spectrum Disorder Symptoms in Adults)

Funny, you were joking right? No I don't have ASD.
But, you seem to be under a psychosis, for believing in a god that you have no objective evidence for.

Psychosis
A mental disorder characterized by a disconnection from reality.

Because that's what the Bible teaches and we always, always teach directly from the Bible:

Were the incorrect prophecies taught directly from the Bible?

I don't usually post from CARM but you should know it is not only atheists who disagree with you.

Jehovah's Witnesses and their many false prophecies | CARM.org
If they are the only true church and are the only true voice of God's word, then what they say should prove to be true and especially in prophecy. When it comes to predicting the future, the Watchtower organization fails miserably. Following are some of the false predictions made over the years by the Watchtower organization. If you present these to a JW, he will probably say something like, "Those are taken out of context," or "They didn't claim to be the prophet of God," or "The light is getting brighter, and we are understanding Bible prophecy better now," etc. Make a copy of these false prophecies, found in the appendix, and give it to them to check. They are right out of the Witnesses' literature.

The article also clearly states, "Between 2010–2014, on average, 56 million induced . . . abortions occurred worldwide each year."

Given that these 56,000,000 children killed annually were immorally slaughtered with malice aforethought by their mothers each and every single one of those children was in fact murdered.

So, yes, as per the WHO's figures, 56,000,000 children are murdered annually by their mothers.

Apologies for not connecting the dots for you earlier, I presumed you had a working conscience.

God Almighty is good the very same way rain is wet, diamond gemstones are hard, photons tear across space at luminous speeds or cerulean suns blaze. Therefore if we envision God’s goodness in terms of His possessing definite virtues as opposed to fulfilling selected duties, we get an infinitely more exalted and correct notion of God.

Jehovah God is to be adored for His moral identity as He is fundamentally loving, just, kind, and so on. It is simply because God is that way that all these traits count as virtues to start with. Accordingly, anything standing in opposition to God is evil.

Which means that everything we need to be truly good has been given to all of us within the pages of the Holy Bible.

What objective evidence do you have that your god is real?
