I think this guy is a Po, a troll or a narcissist. I asked yesterday repeatedly for him to prove the validity of / give evidence for his god & the holy book he keeps quoting & he just kept bobbing & weaving. Asserting & asserting yet never was any evidence brought to bear. Thankfully I found the ignore option.

Consciousness, memory, planning, dreaming and other aspects of the human experience most certainly do transcend our physical self. After all, what explicit sections of our brain are directly responsible for these extraordinary abilities?

Several of these have been mapped as I recall. There is no reason to suppose other will not be.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by transcend. If these items amount to processes running in the brain, does that qualify as transcending?

It most certainly is curious how you struggle with something that is so innately human...

What's innately human? You posted an utterly fatuous and obviously wrong argument for god and then said it was curious that I called it laughable. Sorry, but it was. Are you trying to say that you think it's innately human to fall for bad arguments?

...which is why I asked if you've ever been evaluated for ASD.

We've done this bit.

Contemporary research shows that individuals with ASD have cognitive processing styles which hamper human spirituality while the Neurotypical have all inherited a variety of biological predispositions for spirituality, hence my query: Disqus - Square Pegs, Round Holes

Your results do help me understand your staunch Atheism, yes. Thank you for sharing them :)

What is spiritual about slaughtering the Amakelites?

Omnipotent God creates Adm and Eve exactly in the way he wants to.
Adam & Eve disobey God - exactly as Omniscient God knew they would.
Deceitful God blames Adam & Eve and punishes them.
Later psychopathic God decides his whole creation is messed up. In a pique, he horrifically kills every man, woman, child, fetus, and embryo.

You worship this God. I would not worship this god because I am too moral to worship something so evil and because I am capable of distinguishing between good and evil.

Here, let me fix your Strawman-

"Adam & Eve disobey God - exactly as (Omniscient God knew they would kept himself from knowing their futures out of deference to their Free Will.)

Deceitful God blames justly brings Adam & Eve to account for their evil and punishes them.

Later, psychopathic God decides his whole creation is messed up allows mankind to develop without his interference. They build a horrific world filled with evil. He commissions Enoch and then Noah to try and get them to stop being evil but they ignore their admonitions. In a pique, he horrifically In the end, after many decades, these evil ones exhaust his patience and he has no choice but to kills every man, woman, child, fetus, and embryo with the exception of the good Noah and his family whom he saves."

Glad I could help :)

It is a striking warning to all who insist on being evil:

"When I say to someone wicked, ‘Wicked one, you will surely die!’ but you do not speak out to warn the wicked one to change his course, he will die as a wicked man because of his own error, but I will ask his blood back from you.

But if you warn someone wicked to turn back from his way and he refuses to change his course, he will die for his error, but you will certainly save your own life.

‘“As surely as I am alive,” declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, “I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that someone wicked changes his way and keeps living. Turn back, turn back from your bad ways, for why should you die?" -Ezekiel 33:8, 9, 11

Why should God tolerate the evil?

And you are certain that God told them to kill all the Amakelites?

No need to take my word for it. Read Numbers 24:20; Exodus 17:8-16; Deuteronomy 25:17-19; Judges 3:12, 13; Judges 6:1-3, 33; 7:12; 10:12; 1 Samuel 15:2-33 and learn for yourself :)

You would have to study.. and have some interest in archaeology and history.

"That which can be claimed without evidence can be dismissed without evidence."

Accordingly, consider your fatuous claims dismissed.

Believe it or not, you can start questioning your claims of an absolute, incontrovertible truth. It's all up to you. I admit it's not an easy path but it's possible because many before you have succeeded.

I have read all of them repeatedly.

Deuteronomy is the "second law" and it was written after the Babylonian exile. Exodus was written even later 800 years AFTER the death of Moses.

These certainly point to realities which transcend material existence:

“It is said that an argument is what convinces reasonable men and a proof is what it takes to convince even an unreasonable man. With the proof now in place, cosmologists can no longer hide behind the possibility of a past-eternal universe. There is no escape, they have to face the problem of a cosmic beginning.” (Many Worlds in One [New York: Hill and Wang, 2006], p.176)

This is just what famed Physicist and Mathematician James Clerk Maxwell alluded to when he came to the conclusion, “Science is incompetent to reason upon the creation of matter itself out of nothing. We have reached the utmost limit of our thinking faculties when we have admitted that because matter cannot be eternal and self-existent, it must have been created .”
