Why did God give us physical body if spirit can live?

And we will have new bodies, as described by Saint Paul.

Those bodies are not flesh and blood bodies,
but spiritual bodies.

When the 7th Trump sounds in the book of Revelation, Christ Jesus returns and then as Paul had written, that in a twinkle of an eye we all ( whether good or bad) shall be changed from this flesh and blood bodies to the Spiritual bodies to see Christ Jesus as he is, in the Spirit.
And then the Judgement of God's takes place.

If my soul love girls because my body can't resist them, then if I developed
my spirit to be strong and to resist the beauty of girls will then my soul will be
strong enough as to resist girls afterlife or if i like to steal money and
my soul developed as not to steal will that make me a good soul afterlife
and won't steal money any more?

What a benefit will return to a soul when living without body in afterlife,
what if the soul being away of God, is that hell, many people are enjoying
life while completely away of god, so what?
Well, depends what you mean by soul. I have used the word soul, to mean same as spirit. In arabaic, it is 'jaan'. There is another word in Arabic 'Nafs'. 'Nafs' is 'self and ego'. What i meant is Jaan. Spirit or Soul, does not have gender. It has no desire toward opposit sex. It has desire toward spiritaul things. It likes to do good things, help others, show kindness, etc. It is the physical body that has gender, because of the physical Hormons, it has desire for opposit sex. Because it feels hungry, likes to eat. The soul is suppernatural. Has no natural desires.
When people die, only Soul remains. It has no desire toward this natural or materialist world. It will continue to live in spiritual world. In spiritual world of God, it feels wanting to be near God. It feels sad if it cannot. But while we are in this world, we may not know if we are from God, or we are in hell right now. Becuase our attention is toward this world. Once the soul lives after death of body, it no more pays attention to this world. Then it feels sad if it is far from God. Beyons this, we cannot know how spiritual world is. When we were in the womb, we did not know how the world outside is. The same way, while we are in this world, it is impossible to know details of next world.

But the Holy Spirit in her says He does.
The Holy Spirit needs to make up it's mind.
I think I've found the problem,

So the spirit has "no desire toward opposite sex." "It has no desire toward this natural or materialist world." But, it is placed near or close to God by what the physical body has done? The body that does have desires? That has a built in system to have desires? And God rewards or punishes the spirit of that person depending on how well the body performed? A body that God created with several limitations and obstacles on knowing the truth about God? And you say God is just?

What qualities that spirit will gain on earth that makes it close to God?

God only accepts the sincere ones near His court. For this reason, He tests us to separate those who are Worthy to be close to Him. Therefore, He created many tests in this life. The worldly things are outwardly attractive. But those who sincerely want God, are not those who are after worldly things. They would detach demselves from the world. He created human spirit to reflect the same names and attributes of God. As an analogy, The soul is like a mirror, which can show the names of God. But if the mirror is unclean, it cannot reflect the light of God. What makes the mirror of the soul unclean, is attachment to worldly things. Once we detach our selves from the worldly things, and selfish desires, and become sincere and pure, then our soul becomes like a clean mirror reflecting the names of God. These names of God are the qualities of spirit which determines how close we are to God. God's names are the most kind, the most generous, the most wise, the all knowing, the most just,...etc. Our soul if it is cleaned, it can reflect same names, albeit to a lesser extend than God.

The soul is not at the mercy of the body.
In the Bible, I find that Adam was a soul, Adam did Not possess a soul, Adam did Not come to have a separate soul.
At Genesis 2:7 Adam did Not become a 'living soul ' until after his God breathed the breath of life into lifeless Adam.
Adam was mortal, so Adam went from non-life, to life, and returned back to non-life, or to being a lifeless soul.
A person is a soul with includes both body and mind. At death one becomes a dead soul or lifeless soul or person.
In Scripture, the soul, or person, can be destroyed as per Luke 3:23.

For those who believe in scriptures. This question came up in another thread by @Tumah, that if our soul can live, why God gave us a physical body.
I suggest, first asking this question:
Does God have a physical Body, or He is Spirit?
The Scriptures of various Religions, teaches God is invisible Spirit, thus no physical Body. So, if physical Body is important and worthy, why doesn't God have one for Himself?
In my view, from Bahai perspective, our coming to this physical world has a purpose. It is likened to the womb. We first live in the womb, so, our body is developed. Once completed, we are born to this world. Then in this physical world, we develop our Spiritual qualities, so, when we leave this World, our spirit is developed to live in the next world, which is spiritual. So, coming to this physical world only is a temporary place to develop our spirit. The physical body is not worthy beyond this life. God's spirit is already perfect, and no need to be developed any farther, and thus He does not need a body.
But once we leave this world, we do not return in the body, as in a physical resurrection. Just as when we are born from the womb, we never go back inside anymore.

I find Scripture teaches God is a Spirit person - Hebrews 9:24 - so God is invisible to us.
After creating the invisible spirit angelic realm of existence, then God expanded creation to include the physical.
So, first was the invisible world of existence, then followed by the visible material/physical world of existence.
Just as spirit angels are mortal and can be destroyed, so can moral mankind.
Moral Satan will be destroyed by Jesus as per Hebrews 2:14 B.
So, both spirit bodies and physical bodies are important depending on where one is living.
* Spirit bodies are necessary for those who live in the heavens.
* Physical bodies are necessary for those who live here on Earth.
Mortal Adam and Eve were offered everlasting life on Earth, No leaving of this world, this Earth.
This physical world for mankind is Not temporary but meant to be permanent.
Jesus promised that humble meek people will inherit the Earth as per Matthew 5:5; Psalms 37:9-11.
Only those like those of Luke 22:28-30 are called from Earth to heavenly life - Revelation 20:6.
That means the 'majority' of mankind will have the same offer as originally offered to Adam and Eve.
Either by way of having a happy-and-healthy physical resurrection back to live life on Earth.
Or, those of us alive on Earth at the soon coming ' time of separating ' as per Matthew 25:31-33,37,40 can remain alive on Earth, and continue to live on Earth right into the start of Jesus' coming 1,000-year rule over Earth.

I don't believe there is any text that says God has a body. The Holy Spirit in me says He doesn't.

I find God does send forth His spirit according to Psalms 104:30.
So, God's spirit is something that God possesses, and that is why God can send it - Numbers 11:17,25
At Hebrews 9:24 the resurrected heavenly Jesus does appear before the presence of his God / the person of God.
Jesus sits at the right 'hand' of his God according to 1 Peter 3:22; Revelation 3:12.
Both Jesus and his God both have separate heavenly thrones as per Revelation 3:21.
God does have a heavenly home as per 1 Kings 8:39; 1 Kings 8:45; 1 Kings 8:49; Deuteronomy 26:15 A.
So, having a home can make a person a home body <- pun intended.

After His resurrection, Jesus' body was both flesh and blood and glorified. It was an example of how the bodies of saved souls will be when they are reunited with them.

At death Adam become a dead soul. A soul can be destroyed according to Luke at Acts of the Apostles 3:23.
I wonder where it says that after Jesus' resurrection that his body was physical flesh and blood _________
Flesh and blood (physical) can Not inherit the kingdom as per 1 Corinthians 15:50.
I find Jesus used 'different materialized bodies' after his God resurrected dead Jesus - Acts 2:27,24,31-32.
That explains why his followers did Not recognize the resurrected Jesus until Jesus revealed himself to them.
Please notice the passage found at Luke 24:13-43. At Luke 24:16 they did Not recognize resurrected Jesus.
Also, in Jesus' post-resurrection appearance, Jesus 'appeared' and stood in their midst at Luke 24:36.
At first his followers thought they saw an apparition at Luke 24:37.
An apparition or spirit could Not eat, but Jesus using a materialized body could.
John also lets us know in the 21st chapter that the disciples did Not recognize Jesus at first - John 21:4.
So, it is one thing to say Jesus' resurrected body was physical, and another matter as to what the Bible really teaches about Jesus being resurrected back to his heavenly incorruptible spirit body.

After the first death which is that of the body, the living mind remains attached to the universal life-force or soul, until it is either given a glorious simulacrum-light body, or the mind/spirit is divided from the soul, until that should is given another physical body in which a new mind can develop, for the word of God is sharper than a two edged sword, and cuts all the way through to the division of the soul and spirit, etc.

The question is for the Baha'is. They believe that this world is to test a person to see if they will "detach" themselves from this world and develop spiritual qualities. But, who is being tested? The spirit/soul of a person or their physical self? If the physical self is the one that is making the decisions, then why punish or reward the spirit self?

Baha'is are adamant about Jesus not being physically resurrected. They believe all the verses that talk about Jesus being resurrected and appearing are only a symbolic metaphor. But, I've don't remember them ever addressing the Christian belief that the new body of Jesus is not an ordinary body, but a "glorified" body.

Is the physical self alone making the decisions? Unlikely it is.

Can you produce in the bible the book and chapter and verses where that is written that the body of Jesus was both flesh and blood and glorified.

Seeing how it is written in the bible that flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God.

Bible 1st Corinthians 15:50---" Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption"

So how is it that you say after the resurrection Jesus body was both flesh and blood

but seeing that flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God.

So how exactly is this to work ?

I would think 'if' there was a ' living mind ' at death then Jesus would Not have taught John 11:11-14 to us.
Both Jesus and the OT teach unconscious sleep ( Not thinking ) in death:
- John 11:11-14; Psalms 6:5; Psalms 13:3; Psalms 115:17; Psalms 146:4; Isaiah 38:18; Ecclesiastes 9:5
A living mind does Not need a resurrection, but the dead do.- Revelation 1:18
Gospel writer Luke informs us 'there is going to be' a resurrection at Acts of the Apostles 24:15.
'is going to be' is future tense, thus showing a future awakening from death's sleep - Daniel 12:2; Daniel 12:13.
Even King David did Not ascend as per Acts of the Apostles 2:34.
Luke also wrote the soul can be destroyed at Acts of the Apostles 3:23.
