Another Shocking Attack on News Media by Trump Supporter

Stanyon

WWMRD?
Well, not really
Basically one drunk guy shoved a BBC reporter at a Trump rally in El Paso Texas, another Trump supporter stopped him so it was self regulated. Apparently there were about 6,500 people in attendance so basically it was one out of 6,500 people, seems an extremely low percentage rate. This did not stop other media outlets from condemning the "attack" and how it's all Trumps fault, I've seen far worse with far more frequency between drunks supporting opposing teams at sporting events.

According to the reports it was actually a security guard who subdued him - the security guard was just wearing a MAGA hat. May have been plainclothes, it's hard to tell.

In any case, what role do you think Trump's anti-media rhetoric has in this, or other, attacks on media?

Very little to none, if Trumps rhetoric were so powerful we would see a far larger percentage of incidents at rallies, events etc. in this case it is clearly a very small percentage 1 person out of ~ 6,500.
Alcohol was involved as well apparently.

I think it is the anti-Trump media rhetoric that has more fault. IMHO.

Well, again, there was security there, so this one instance isn't necessarily an indicative sample. Don't forget that this isn't the only attack we've seen on the media over the last year (although, admittedly, it's clearly the daftest).

How many instances of personal physical attacks on members of the press by Trump supporters do you estimate there have been since Trump was elected?

Below is a link to a good summary of all the left wing violence, against Trump and his supporters, since Trump took office. It documents the events, month to month. Maybe the left can show their own list and we can compare to see which of the two movements is more violent. This way we can settle this with facts and not another round of fake news and left wing propaganda.

Left-wing violence in the Trump era - Conservapedia

The Senate Intelligence committee, in bipartition fashion, has determined there was no Russian-Trump collusion. Their investigation was more comprehensive than Mueller's, had investigative members from both parties to make it honest and fair, which was unlike Mueller. It also reviewed more documents and witnesses. It did not set procedure traps to generate more fake news.

It turns out the dim bulbs in fake news are either dumb as a stump, or part of a left wing conspiracy to defraud the American People. I saw this from day one.

There should be a professional penalty for fake news, since they have incited violence and did harm. Maybe their press credentials could be revoked. Or they can be sued for liable. If nothing happens, then fake news s going to be the new norm, for any new president from either side?

I would not mind if Trump organized the, " Dumb as a Stump, Fake News Awards", and publicly humiliated all the dim wits, so their careers become a liability to their handlers. Instead of dwell on fake news as connected to some evil intelligence, focus on fake news as connected to dumb as a stump people. Then we can also have the dumbest people in America Awards.
