Theres one problem through with the summery...You need to have someone looking confused trying to decide if it's better to laugh and eat popcorn watching trump or if they should be crying because Trumps their president.

No metaphor is perfect. People wearing red hats trying to fight their way aboard the while a stream of rats flees out the back would have been nice, too.

As personally offensive as Trump is, things appear to be going better
than they were under Obama or Bush. Of course, this judgment
depends upon what one focuses upon...I'm looking at wars, economy,
USSC appointments, regulation, civil liberties.
But if personal drama matters more, I can see opinions differing.

But I wonder what you will think of President Trump's effect on your state, country and the world in five year's time? It could be embarrassing to be shown the above post by then, possibly?

President Obama was all about community, and leaving a surviving world for the future. Things like that just don't seem important to today's President, or so it seems.

In 5 years time, if anyone wants to "I told you so" me about Trump with the benefit of hindsight, after it turns out he was masterfully playing 4 dimensional chess this whole time I'll be happy to admit I was wrong.

If it turns out I was right this whole time, and 5 years from now Trump's entire legacy is unmitigated, unarguable disaster, I wonder how many Trumpettes are willing to make the same pledge?

I can speak to the present & past, but not the future.
Although I think he could handle things in a safer fashion.

That was the image he projected.
But was he really?
Like many liberals, his public concerns about AGW weren't
matched by personal action or effective public policy.
That guy had a carbon footprint the size of Kansas.

Love it! :D

In five years, nobody will be admitting that they even voted for him. And if by some amazing chance I am wrong, then I will apologise.

Nah.
That would be like playing poker, betting based upon having a good
hand, but discovering that someone else had an improbably better one.
Don't apologize for making the best decision, even if it turned out wrong.

Decisions are based upon the info one has at the time they're made,
not upon an unknowable future.
Also, Hillary's fans naturally don't imagine what could've gone wrong
had she won. Having done nothing, her record is without flaw.
Moreover, Trump's critics dwell on his being dislikeable as his failure.
To them, it's all about how they feel about him.
I don't care how they feel. I even enjoy their frothing at the mouth.
What I do care about is avoiding more wars, enhancing civil liberties,
good economic practice, & a strong Constitution (originalist view).

Trump is great for straight CIS white men who only care about the narrow range of issues effecting them. Not so much everyone else.

Hilary? Who was she?
It seems crazy to me, but both candidates seemed dreadful. After that turn out our Monarchy+Parliament seems quite reasonable. Our Queen can nobble totally inept or totally ill PMs, you know.

Would you like to come back to us? We're just trying to clear the decks to make room.

:p

You note the rush of them taking up my offer here.

Extremely wealthy cis white men, whose income isn't threatened by botched trade deals and tariffs.

Has Her Maj ever actually used her reserve power? Our Governor General did back in, iirc, '75, when he canned an awful PM.
