I know that's why explicitly mentioned it's probably not much to worry about unless it happens again. Now what if Frank has developed narcolepsy and we're all telling him not to worry about a major symptom of this disorder. Frank, unaware of his sleep disorder, falls asleep behind the wheel and takes out somebody in a fatal car crash, I bet he'd regret nobody warned him to get his medical condition checked out.
Except that's incredibly unlikely. Also the same reason they don't put people on anti-seizure medication anymore if they are an adult and have only had one seizure. One seizure does not indicate epilepsy, just as one case of sleep paralysis does not indicate any underlying medical problems.

...What makes you think this is supernatural?I mean it could be but It's most likely just sleep paralysis. Not trying to be rude or debate or anything I'm just trying to understand your view here on sleep paralysis being linked to the occult when most say its just the brain acting funny.
Is there any evidence that these ideas given are correct? Has it been proven, or are persons just giving their "expert" opinions?
I read this.
The pathophysiology of sleep paralysis has not been concretely identified, although there are several theories about its cause.
Is there proven data anywhere?

Frank has been discussing some particular topics, since he has been on the forums, and there is evidence of such things being associated with occult practicers, and, or in contact with them, and their possessions

I forgot to mention too, Frank. What you listen to, is important.
Get rid of occult music, or music of musicians you know are involved.
In your other post, where I mentioned backmasking... it is real.

Whatsoever spiritual path you have chosen, get off of it... unless you are happy. Only, remember, that happiness is just a "nibble of a cookie dangled in front of a young innocent girl's eyes, by a pervert"
Soon the happiness will be replaced by pain.

Whatever occult movies, or books you may be delving into... get rid of them.
Get out of that occult web... before it's too late. Find the path to truth, and stay on it.
That's my advice.

There is a reason they use it. It not used as a useless hobby.
Backmasking is a recording technique in which a sound or message is recorded backward onto a track that is meant to be played forward. Backmasking is a deliberate process, whereas a message found through phonetic reversal may be unintentional.

Backmasking was popularised by The Beatles, who used backward instrumentation on their 1966 album Revolver.

Even if people either try to dismiss it, or make people think they are paranoid. They think people are not sensible, that's all... imo.

I saw the thread title, threw on my superhero costume, and clicked expecting to swoop in and save someone from drowning or something, only to find it was a case of sleep paralysis.

Dude, you're wearing a cape. Only. That doesn't count as a superhero costume. It counts as a reason to call the cops.

It's a paisley cape. Nothing more is required. At least that's what I was told in the last Friday night staff orgy. You guise said it was ok!

Didn't you get the post-orgy wrap-up sheet? You were censured for either
1) Not carrying your ban-stick
2) Carrying your ban-stick in an inappropriate place.

We couldn't work out which, but the cape sure as heck didn't have pockets.

Why don't you act out your dreams? Because, while you are asleep, movement is "turned off". If it isn't, then you go sleep walking. If it doesn't turn on again fast enough, you get the opposite effect: sleep paralysis. On the whole, the latter is preferable to the former: at least it won't cause you to walk into the street!

It's probably just sleep paralysis...Hallucinations can happen in sleep paralysis

I agree. I had this problem for years. Half asleep, half awake, hallucinations of demonic or alien figures, animals or people attacking. The problem with it is that when you are half awake you can physically react. So I would hurt myself jumping out of bed, kicking, punching, running into things. Spiders used to be especially present because that's the one thing I don't do well with. I would see spiders crawling on my walls, on bed or feel and see them crawling on my arms. Then I noticed that in complete darkness I could see them as if it were broad daylight. So, I watched them. Boy, they were realistic. When I calmly watched them they disappeared before my eyes and I stopped having those dreams. I almost missed them because they were entertaining like a good horror film or amusement ride.

I'm left, fully asleep, with boring dreams. Whadda 'ya gonna' do.

Sleep paralysis is a known medical phenomenon.

However, I also think it likely that a person in that between sleep and awake stage is more accessible to noticing and experiencing super-physical presences. Your link to that world is not closed as it is in the awake state.

I don't know how to protect yourself, but protective prayers would seem to me a good idea.

Its probably a Succubus.
I've had similar experiences during a SP where I felt a pressure near my private parts. I usually chant God's name to make them stop but there were times when chanting didn't work and they lasted for several minutes.
