Woman calls JetBlue staff member "rapist" and threatens she has a gun

I don’t buy this as evidence of a specifically current alcohol problem. The new aspect of this story isn’t a drunk passenger trying to board a plane but that it is filmed, posted to the internet and instantly propagated around the world.

We do have a psychiatric/drug-alcohol problem. At least in my own hospital and I'm not a statistician, but I'm willing to bet the increasing use of drugs like methamphetamine, is at an all time high. Homelessness in California, (which amounts to 20% of the U.S. population) is at an all time high. We do not as a country address psychiatric issues the same way we address physiological issues. Her behavior was clearly bizarre, disruptive, and abnormal.

I think any outrageous behavior that creates a distraction of this kind has to be looked at as a psychiatric/drug-alcohol problem.

Most likely, yes. She was definitely screwed up. I just wasn't sure if it was alcohol or some other kind of drug.

I do.
But I suspect that we've different reasons.
The bottom line is that disapproval does not make the other party wrong. On the other hand, the right to disagree should not be immune to actual facts.

Also, false equivalencies do exist, and it is everyone's duty to treat those as adults.

What are you talking about?

Right. Only way to know is get a blood alcohol level. As far as drug toxins only way to truly find out is do a urine-tox screening. For us to suggest a psychiatric assessment, if both urine and blood are negative for toxins (unless there is an extreme high level white blood cell count) a psychiatric assessment would be ordered. But seeing the video I'd say it's one of the three. If this happened at a Buddhist monastery I'd say it's one of the two (Psychiatric/Drug).

Ah, she's just imitating Trump.
That's beneath pathetic. You should be ashamed.
Mocking someone who's referring to rapists, not knowing her history but just to throw shade at Trump is revolting.I'm ashamed for you. More like, Bill Brown.
No female is that obtuse. Even when they are a deluded hate filled Leftist.

God be with her.
She showed signs of intoxication. No one has said she was. And who knows the whole story behind this woman's anger? She was at an airport for TEN HOURS!

Hey, let's not abuse the "r" word.
But I agree with the sentiment that we shouldn't
be so hostile towards our political opponents.

I wasn't. The guy I was chastising did that when thinking to use it as a vehicle so as to throw shade at Trump.
How sick. To think this thread is a great place to advantage yet another Leftist pathetic barb at the president. All because they preferred a seditionist traitor , fake feminist, multiple-unprosecuted because she will take others down with her if prosecuted-felon who is unable to pass an FBI security background check for security clearance, which makes her ineligible for the security clearance necessary to be president , and this could explain it, called the women her husband raped all sorts of names, as CiC over then candidate Trump.

But I agree with the sentiment that we shouldn't

True. But what it is evidence of is immaturity.
It is the net after all. We can be reading ten year old drop-outs who zombie on X-Box with bouts of trolling forums, for all we know. Their language when speaking of Trump or even the Christian faith denotes they're either actual children, or incredibly immature dysfunctional adults seeking an avenue of expression for their angst.
Seriously. Read some of the posts in this forum as relates to Trump or in the religious forums concerning the Christian faith, you'll note they avoid the Muslim one, and you can't help but see a brat on their side of the monitor gleefully pecking away at their keyboard. Thinking they're really making people angry with their remarks.

When in truth we see their deficit. Because they're happy to show it off in public. Anonymous or not, that is who they are.
I feel sorry for the future.

It was a jest.
If you look at my moniker, you can see why I'm easily triggered
by associating the word, "revolting", with unsavory people.
That gives power of a word power over you.

As a rape survivor I can tell you, a person who uses rape as an inroad to slam Trump is revolting to me.
Sorry about your trigger but that's not my responsibility.

Revolting people mock rape victims. That's why I set such low life on ignore. So their presence doesn't capture my attention in the least anymore after that.
People are free to hate Trump. Of course. However, when they avail themselves of a story about a woman unhinged for some reason, presumed but not proven to be alcohol induced, and she's screaming about rapists, rape , and those persons avail themselves of that opportunity in reporting to claim she's just acting like Trump, they're revolting. Among a number of other descriptives that pertain to immoral dishonorable character.
They're not just expressing an opinion. They're mocking a community of people who survived sexual assault. And some of us lost our lives while screaming rape. And either no one helped, or, as is the case in a major city years ago, WATCHED from their windows till it was all over. And the victim was dead on the street below them.

I don't apologize for my remarks toward the offender here. They're offensive. And proud.

No problem.
I'll just use "disgusting", "inflammatory", & "offensive" instead.
At least until we welcome posters named Disgustingest, Inflammatoriest, & Offensivest.
(Some here are already worthy of such monikers.)

I read ya.
I was a member of a forum long since closed that had a member aboard calling themselves, disgustingus. And they acted the part.
Did you ever happen on the old Postal forum?
