Messiah

Yup. Of course the apostles preached Jesus.

I wish that I could feel that the descendants of those like the apostles actually follow the words of Jesus in 2019. Most just give the lame excuse that we are all fallen. The day will come when followers are gonna have to show more evidence of progress than that.

I believe that the messiah has not yet come.

Depends upon your definition of the Messiah.
In the Old Testament there are two Messianic descriptors -
suffering Redeemer and reigning King.
You cannot reign with the King if you have not embraced
the Redeemer. Zechariah speaks of the coming King as
one who will cause Israel to mourn - why? Because "they
will see him whom they pierced."

And "they" were? Some say the Jews but I think it was "all of us".

You're right in that the message of the apostles (the Bible) has been distorted to the great majority of mankind.

As a Shia, we do believe in quite a messianic end times with quite a profound conflict between forces of good, evil, truth and deception. This will not be some quiet little guy going around handing out pamphlets, it's quite literally a global change of consciousness where hidden aspects of reality will come to surface.
I guess it's somewhat of the tower of babel happening all over again but with the result being the universe returning back into God.

'Making sense' is totally subjective, in religion. What makes sense to one person is totally illogical to another.

What's totally illogical is the notion that the universe created itself,
out of nothing and for no reason whatsoever. It's the Ultimate
Miracle and Ultimate Act of Meaninglessness.

I concur, but there are people out there who will claim that is the most logical sensible thing ever, only a fool would say otherwise.

Messianism is the belief in one messiah (or more messiahs). Countless faiths believe in the messiah and countless people do as well. While I consider Jesus as one messiah, I also believe that there is another, non-human, still lesser than God, Liberator that will come at an unknown time. I'm interested to know if you believe in 1 (or more) messiahs? If so, do you practice in organized religion? Or do your beliefs defy traditional religion?
Unfortunately I don't know what a real god is.

If you could give me a handy description, sufficient to tell me what real things are god (or gods) and what are not, I'd be happy to try to answer your question.

I also find it illogical that this vast- beyond- belief universe just came about by itself. Although I can't figure it out about the reason for the universe, I still think God created it. On the other hand, without the universe as it stands, we wouldn't be alive.

I don't believe in the Bible. Fantasic, as in fantasy? Sure.
:). I wonder about other things, like how someone believes there are millions of gods in space. There is much evidence of reality in the scriptures.

I think you need to take a close look at just what exactly is evidence, as you seem to misunderstand the concept.
