I save nothing so I think I’m good there. But then again I save nothing...
Interesting....
The left opposes bigotry, unless it's against....
- Men
- Caucasians
- The wealthy
- The aged
- Anyone not of their political persuasion.
- Christians
- Southerners....just the white ones.
- Rednecks (ie, rural working class whites)

Investigations lose power as time passes.
- Records are lost.
- Memories fade.
- People die.
I see what you want....investigate long & hard enuf, &
anyone can be caught in some false fact, either intentional
or not. And then hang'm on that rather than anything of
substance. It's a common cop & prosecutor tactic.

Ford didn't even know when or where what she might've
correctly or incorrectly remembered happened with who
might've been Kavanaugh.
What would the FBI have done....enhance her memory?
Find her long lost party diary? Find another phony
accuser? (Yes, one of'm admitting making it all up.)
This is a desperate hope for a smoking gun all based
upon your dislike of the guy.
So you don't dispute that the FBI was not allowed to conduct an ordinary, thorough investigation of possibly criminal conduct alleged against Kavanaugh?

The FBI conducted an investigation appropriate for the circumstances, including interviewing nine individuals.

The FBI interviewed nine individuals, among other things.
So you don't dispute that the FBI was not allowed to conduct an ordinary, thorough investigation into the possibly criminal allegations against Kavanaugh.

That is at least partially due to the Democratic October Surprise strategy. There was not time to investigate a claim that they were ready to release !it's than a month before they did.

I don't dispute it because I don't know if they were prohibited from that.
But do you know that they were?

He was investigated, & there was no evidence presented which
appeared to warrant anything further. Ford was the best his foes
could offer, & she was utterly unconvincing. Instead, she seemed
befuddled, troubled, & unable to recall any corroborating information.

There appears to be a concerted effort by the left these days to
investigate anyone they oppose, hoping that endless investigation
will some day reveal something to bring them down because they
must be guilty of something.
This is really bad policy, with the Democrats implementing a sort of
new McCarthyism. Be careful, lest one be hoist by one's own petard.

Geez, I dunno. My impression is that most, if not all, Senate Democrats would have agreed to the FBI conducting an ordinary, thorough investigation into the allegations against Kavanaugh

They did a fairly decent one. As good as time would allow. The Democrats screwed the pooch this time with their dishonest tactics. You know that I oppose Trump, but when the Democrats use poor tactics I am going to call them on that. They sat on this info for months. Ford was not the one that paid for or organized the lie detector test that she took.

Ford may have been convinced of the event, but people are often convinced of false things that happened a long time ago in the past. From the viewpoint of "innocent until proven guilty" the Democrats failed by a huge margin in this case.

And no, the Democrats did not want a fair and thorough investigation. If that was the case they would have brought this up long before they did. They were trying to scare off the candidate with the charges late in the game.

And the right? Doesn't oppose bigotry of any kind. In fact, it's part of their core "values"

Why was time limited for the FBI's investigation? Who limited it? Justice Scalia's seat on the Court went unfilled for 16 months.
Yes, but one has to look at the reality of who is in power. There would have been more than enough time if this info was not dropped on purpose at the last second in order to derail the nomination. That indicated that the Democrats doubted their own source. They were hoping to end the nomination with just the accusation. A rather low tactic. The nomination period was extended to investigate Ford and her claims were not well supported. The Democrats may have been correct in their fears.

you should be asking yourself why they eat lunch is into for so long.

I don't know of any rational justification for blaming Senate Democrats for limiting the FBI investigation into criminal allegations against Kavanaugh, including his possible lying to Congress and/or the FBI.
