Poor choice of words, because not all the left is angry and paranoid. But these people who applaud partisan politicians really make me sick.
Speaking of partisan politics, what do you have to say about how it relates to the right?

Aside from your beloved, Bill Clinton, Democrats
appear to be moving down from first base...

You guys give Trump credit for everything.

No, but any excuse to post that picture.
You guys give Trump credit for everything.
Clearly, you don't read my posts about economics.
But I understand.
As another petulant prolific poster here once told me, he doesn't
read my posts which he criticizes. Apparently some lefties have
such keen insight that they don't need actual information, eh.
Reminds me of some believers who know all about the reasons
behind us heathens hating God.

Interestingly, Democrats are ashamed when that happens. Republicans, from all indications, not so much.
Shame....like supporting Bill Clinton while knowing
he stood accused of worse sexual assault.
Yeah....they're paragons of virtue & consistency.

But those of us outside of both parties believe that
sexual assault is always wrong....not just when a
sin of the other party.

If you honestly believe that, then why do you defend the likes of Trump, especially because he goes against the preponderance of Catholic social teachings?

Personally, I don't hate Trump but I do hate so much of that which he has said and done that defies ever the most basic Judeo-Christian teachings. Even his numerous adulterous acts alone should be enough to tell you that he has no moral bearing but, unfortunately, there's so many more issues like that with him that show his utter depravity.

CST is a compilation of picked ideals from historical papal encyclicals and councils -ideals that the current USCCB has decided were best for Catholics today...

...But I prefer using my own conscience, and making Prudential judgements on my own. IMO, CST is 'Radical Catholicism', because it attempts to replace our conscience, where there should be neutrality. It's overwhelming to me.

Catechism of the Catholic Church - Moral conscience
1776 "Deep within his conscience man discovers a law which he has not laid upon himself but which he must obey. Its voice, ever calling him to love and to do what is good and to avoid evil, sounds in his heart at the right moment. . . . For man has in his heart a law inscribed by God. . . . His conscience is man's most secret core and his sanctuary. There he is alone with God whose voice echoes in his depths."47 I. THE JUDGMENT OF CONSCIENCE 1777 Moral conscience,48 present at the heart of the person, enjoins him at the appropriate moment to do good and to avoid evil. It also judges particular choices, approving those that are good and denouncing those that are evil.49 It bears witness to the authority of truth in reference to the supreme Good to which the human person is drawn, and it welcomes the commandments. When he listens to his conscience, the prudent man can hear God speaking.

I don't understand why everyone is so upset about what the lady said.
Trump is the father of several children. All those children have mothers. Those mothers all had those children because Donal Trump had coitus with them.

May we use your particular form of rationalization to any statement made by every politician?

What rationalization? What I presented was a factual interpretation. You are certainly allowed to present a factual interpretation of any politician's statements.

Please try with the following:

We will build a wall and Mexico is going to pay for it.

I'm sick of all this impeachment talk. 2 years straight now. What's the old saying? "Sh!t or get of the pot."
Didn't your mommy ever tell you that good things take time? Mueller's grand jury just got a six-month extension.

ETA: Whitewater was over seven years. That means Mueller has another five to go.

If you watch a Trump rally, when he is surrounded by the common man and woman, he is a different person. He reminds me of someone in the construction trade, who is a hard worker who enjoys his job and family. That person is a little crude and rough around the edges, but he has a good heart and speaks from the heart that which is important to him.
How very naive. The sheeples who voted for him didn't (and still don't) have the ability to separate BS bluster from fact.

Did you believe him when he said he would...
  • Bring back coal miners jobs
  • Bring back steel mills
  • Build a wall that Mexico would pay for

... I sure didn't.

There is another persona that is newer and has been create by fake news. He has had to adapt a means of self defense against constant gossip and insults, but without fairness or mention of the good things that he is doing for the economy and country. Being a victim of negative bullies can either break you or make you fight the bullies, even if you prefer not to fight.
Is it really fake news that he lies constantly?
Is it really fake news that he was a womanizer who paid off women to keep quiet?
Is it really fake news that he is incapable of grasping complex issues as mentioned by many people who used to work for him?
Is it really fake news that his charity was a front for a family run slush fund?
Is it really fake news that he was sued for his phony Trump University.

I could go on.

Only to some extent. We've seen Democrats (Schumer, Hillary) who stood
for increased border security several years ago, but now appear against it.
Bill, Hillary & Obama once opposed gay marriage. Times changed, & the
political climate made it more popular. And so....you know. Finally, let's not
forget reading someone's lips..."No new taxes" preceded new taxes.
Politics sometimes trumps preferred stances.
This is true.

Hmm, the loudest applause I've heard is at partisan Trump rallies. Especially when he said:
Wikileaks, if you have more emails, let's see them
Lock her up
Mexico is going to pay for the wall
Throw the bum out

How many people voted for Bill Clinton after the Lewinski affair became public? None.

How many major newspapers and networks and cable news channels publicized the Clinton / Lewinski affair? All of them.

She wasn't the first scandal, btw. Others go back to his Arkansas gov days.
But I remember the scandal was being covered by The Drudge Report before
his re-election. This stuck in my memory because silence in the other media
was surprising. I recall that NPR conveniently covered it only after he won
re-election.

So how many voted for him after the scandal broke?

Only after The Drudge Report broke with the tradition of covering up
presidential scandals. Other media were sitting on the story. I recall
ABC in particular.
