Sports where alcohol should be mandatory

I think football, wrestling, and women's volleyball would be more entertaining if everyone was given a large mandatory amount of alcohol. Do you agree? What sport do you think alcohol would make it more entertaining?

I saw an Asian sport where it was Asians climbing up walls, jumping into nets, going down water slides, fighting, and doing odd things. But it looks to me like they were already under the influence. :D

Well I assume you're joking about it being "mandatory." Anyway, I think that there is a phenomenon where people's performance increases in some games after a few drinks (buzzed, not drunk). Sports like billiards/pool and bowling, or other drinking-games that involve eye-hand coordination seem to get easier in the very early stages of getting drunk.

Are you talking specatators or athletes? Because athletes can't have drinks during or before games. It screws up their training. Afterwards it becomes their own business. As for spectators, well you aren't considered a proper fan if you aren't sloshed by half time. At least not round here.

I would like to see every player drunk , but I know that will never happen. I just think it would be more interesting if it did.

It would be the most stupidest thing to involve alcohol in sports. Severe drunkenness due to alcohol consumption inhibits mobility and organized thought this would make contact sports very dangerous especially if it involves testosterone.

In curling, in the old days, a lot of people would have one drink before games, just to take the nerves off, as it was very much a mental game, and relaxing just a little bit seemed to help many. At that time, I was too young to drink.

Playing softball it use to be mandatory. In my youth people could bring a keg of beer to the parks in St. Paul, for some reason our work place did not have staff parties in Minneapolis.

That would be wholly dangerous. Not just for the players but for the spectators. Could you imagine a drunk Tiger Woods teeing up? His club would fly off and hit some rando lol

Snooker player Bill Webeniuk, who weighed 25 stone/160kg, used to claim money spent on alcohol as a tax deductible business expenditure.

He had to drink around 10 pints before he was able to play as he developed a tremor in his arm. He would drink 40+ pints a day, and once drunk 76 cans of beers during a match.

As with darts, drinking and smoking during the match is now banned on the professional tour.

What's the world coming to when an elite athlete can't even drink 3 cases of beer and smoke 40 tabs live on TV during the events that represent the pinnacle of the sport? Political correctness gone mad I tells thee.

He was a severe alcoholic it sounds. Having the DTs (Delirium Tremens) is really bad and can be fatal when people withdraw from alcohol.
