What is your opinion on Christianity? Do you like this religion? Personally, I find it weird and I'm trying my best to understand it. It's a complicated religion.

I agree with you it's a complicated religion. Too complicated for me to have anything but mixed feelings about it. But in general, I like the mystic strains in it, I approve of the social conscience found in some strains, and I am appalled by its more fundamentalist strains.

Every major religion, by the way, is complicated enough to give me mixed feelings.

It´s really very simple with it´s basically love message. The messy and complicated part takes place when priests and politicians misuse the Christian message with personal interpretations and nationalistic views.

I don't believe its a religion you can ever fully understand intellectually. It about having a sense of the light of God that shines through Jesus...a little like your avatar. :)

All is it takes is a glimpse...

christianity is a giant riddle, if you ask me. I have more questions than answers. for example, why did other animals were punished for a human's mistake?

Do you mean the snake in the allegorical story of Adam and Eve?

yes. the snake made eve fall, but all animals were punished for a human mistake. why? maybe, because the snake was animal too?

Its not a story to be taken literally. It is a story with many meanings to assist us understand the nature of God and our relationship with him. The irony is if we take the story literally our eyes become blind to the truth.

It's a mixed bag, there are some people who bring out the best of it and some who add a pile of garbage to make it look bad. Comparing the message of Jesus with a lot of the louder denominations of modern Christianity, especially in some countries *cough USA*, is quite an eye opener.

I like the practice but I dont like its theology (human sacrifice), history (i.e. inquisition and stealing jewish culture and reshaping their beliefs), and the disstructure of "the body of christ." (denominations). I also dont care for how this religion influences peoples behaviors to where they are more concerned that others follow a religion based because they know what is best for others.

I do like the practice. Christianity (the liturgical kind) lets you understand the meaning behind the body/people of christ and your role within that community to live as a reflection in humanity. I like the heavy place on devotion that I dont see in protestant churches (outside of lutheran, and probably methodist, and definitely othorodox. I do like lirtugical denominations putting more emphasis on practice based belief rather than whats written and studied to a pulp.

I dont feel its complicated when you try to understand it without being influenced by how other denominations interpret for you what god is supposed to do for you. Its not complication when you understand the role of and need for devotional practices because i think basing your views on the bible as god can be confusion. You literaly have to pick and choose and symbolize half the things in OT scripture in order to justify why you believe in a persons death beings life. But believing god did it is far from jewish; so, the origin may take a bit getting used to.

Anyway, theology and biblical study is confusion. Devotion, at least god speaks to you directly without a pastor, priest, going door to door, speaking in tongues, and going to confession once or twice a month.

Actually, the snake didn't 'make' Eve do anything, but asked a question, tempting her, she made the choice. It was a known fact before the writing of Gen that snakes crawl on their belly, women experience labor pain giving birth etc. The day of rest already observed on the Sabbath. But enjoy the myth.

Christianity is only complicated when it is turned into a religion by people, otherwise I find it very simple as a real, living, and loving relationship with the Savior Jesus Christ.

It is possible that I believe in the message of Jesus as a prophet sent by God

But it is impossible to believe he is the Lord (GOD)

For he went out of the womb of a woman

How an object is created into a woman's belly became GOD

If the gods are created and generated, can the gods be described as independent creatures created by the Creator?!!!

I like it about as much as I like romance novels... which is to say... pretty much not at all. I don't find the genre of religion that goes under the umbrella Christianity to be appealing. Or Abrahamic religions in general, honestly. That's not to say there aren't elements here and there that I find interesting, but those tend to be places of intersection with my own traditions.

What you practice is a painting of life (Sense of Life)
you are carries a beautiful spirit that let you to see everything beautiful like romance novels
It is possible to practice it if you live in a primitive village or in a civilized city or a future smart city

Religion is a practice of communicating with the god to thanksgiving

But we must worship who deserve worship
I mean the creator who created us and gave us an opportunity to get to know and see some beautiful life and enjoy it

Those who live a miserable and unfair life must know the moral genes they inherited from their ancestors or there is a great prize waiting for them to change their lives Or that there is a wise reason to get this

I believe that there is a Creator and that He is very just and does not accept injustice
I have lived my life beautifully, happy and traveling
Enjoy my life immaculately away from impurity and filth
Adultery, drug theft

I love the pure life

I believe that my wife will be pure and Pious
She will be among the children of Israel or of the children of Ishmael, I do not mind

I believe that the next generation will be more peaceful between the Israelites and the sons of Ishmael

Isn't it odd that a discussion about Christianity immediately zooms in on the Old Testament?

As for the New Testament, we have a teacher and faith-healer who's quite clearly a Jew, and who believes he's the promised messiah. That's what Peter told Mark that Jesus was. That's what Josephus said Christians believed in the 90s.

Then in the next century, people start declaring that he was God. Then they have to explain how they can have two (later three) gods and still claim to be montheists.

The explanation of why Jesus died is even more difficult. A Chinese scholar, after reading Mark, wrote
If Jesus is a god, he should be able to end his suffering and avoid his crucifixion. Furthermore, it is incomprehensible that he died and then rose again. Why does he bother to die in the first place?

As for the "message of Jesus", a lot is about all manner of people being condemned to eternal torment.

No thank you.
