Doctor Who Season 13

Draka

Wonder Woman
I thought the premiere was excellent myself. I thought Jodie embodied the Doctor quite well and the basic storytelling hearkened back to the old series with it being darker in general. She's quirky, brilliant, brave and scatterbrained (the Doctor through and though) and faces a darker Who universe than we've seen for a while. At least if they continue with the feeling of the first episode.

I liked it, now to wait and see how she does in the roll as she gets comfortable with it.

However I must admit, I was never a fan of Torchwood

I liked Torchwood, but it was generally a grittier and darker show than Who. Will be interesting to see how the writer crossover plays out.

I honestly don't think any issue with the current season will likely be on Jodie, she seems to fit the role well, but rather on the writing itself and where it goes with it all.

I haven't watched it. I had some reservations given the writing of the previous series.
In that case why are you on RF? THE WRITING HERE REALLY SUCKS. .Especially mine..... If this was a pilot it wouldnt be picked up.

Well she did great in the roll on the first show, noticed a few responses that seemed to be from some of the previous doctors, with a bit of a twist to make them her own

Should probably say about "Darker" I do think it appears to be darker than say the Matt Smith version (although there were dark moments) of the doctor. But so far (based on only 1 show) not as dark as David Tennant or Peter Capaldi could get. Also I realize this comes from the writers.

I had no idea that you were a fan of boring
cheezy sci fi with swishy Brits flitting about.

I'm not, I'm a fan of a rather entertaining show from Britain..... you're just upset cause ....well.. you Scottish folk are self loathing contentious people

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

I'm not big for women in the role of Doctor Who. Doctor Who was written for a man.

Now if it was a woman in the Doctor Who universe acting a role of a different person in the same capacity as Doctor Who, a female equivalent, I would be giving it much much higher marks.

Screw these sjw episodes. Get woke, go broke.

Oh...when is it going to be on Amazon I wonder? That's my only connection to the Dr. Maybe if I get a VIP connection in Britain? No, no. I hate commercials too much for that. It eventually comes out on Amazon here pretty soon after it airs. On Netflix people have to wait for a year.

It's on Amazon now. I got the notification in my email yesterday afternoon and pre-bought the season last night.

Doctor Who was written about an alien. An alien that happens to be a regenerating species. Not just regenerating, but can regenerate into male or female. In all honesty, to go the full amount of regenerations being only male the entire time is far more unbelievable given the premise of the species than having the character finally portrayed as female. And it was a gradual progression. I mean, they did give us Missy a while ago. There were so many things that, when looking back, built up to this point. There's nothing SJW about this. It's a natural, if slow, progression of a storyline.
