Mostly Skeptical
Shadow Wolf - That is so painful to watch. It'd be one thing if she actually made any attempt to explain anything that comes out of her mouth, but it's just assertion after assertion. Also, is she high? I mean, she shouldn't be smoking that devil's cabbage, but I think she might be, lmao.

The Origin of Some Halloween Customs and Symbols

VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES, WITCHES, ZOMBIES: These creatures have long been associated with the evil spirit world.

CANDY: The ancient Celts tried to appease wicked spirits with sweets. The church later encouraged celebrants to go from house to house on All Hallows’ Eve, asking for food in return for a prayer for the dead. This custom eventually became Halloween’s trick or treat.

COSTUMES: The Celts wore frightening masks so that evil spirits would mistakenly think the wearers were spirits and would leave them alone. The church gradually amalgamated pagan customs with the feasts of All Souls and All Saints. Later, celebrants went from house to house wearing costumes of saints, angels, and devils.

PUMPKINS: Carved, candlelit turnips were displayed to repel evil spirits. To some, the candle in the turnip represented a soul trapped in purgatory. Later, carved pumpkins were more commonly used.

But what are people celebrating really....?

Thousands of Wiccans, who follow ancient Celtic rituals, still call Halloween by the ancient name Samhain and consider it to be the most sacred night of the year. Christians caught up in the tradition, ‘don’t realize it, but they’re actually celebrating their holiday with real witches and devil worshippers. Nice eh?

No thanks.....the world is evil enough without promoting all the things God hates, even one day of the year.

Its origins are sinister and I think its good to remember that God was around when the originals were being celebrated....he knows what people are really celebrating and its breaking his laws. (Deuteronomy 18:9-12)

How can Celts (who did not worship your god) celebrating new year hundreds of years before Deuteronomy was written even be thought of as sinning against your god?

Also note note the references to a couple of pope's adopting the celebration into christian ritual.

Halloween is just an excuse to get candy or get wasted. Everyone inserting Satan into it comes across as paranoid or lame or xenophobic.
As for me I'm going to watch me some Hocus Pocus with some brandy on All Hallows' eve. Either that or I'll still be obsessively playing Red Dead 2. I don't know if that's worth getting into a tizzy over though.

Somehow in all of that, you failed to understand the True Meaning of Halloween. You know, all those movies talking about the True Meaning of Christmas? Well Halloween has one too. The Roman Empire is torturing converts getting them to recant. Only, it doesn't work that way. They convert Romans watching the games, they even convert centurions and guards sent to punish them. These are the Saints. The whole dress up thing is cosplay. It's intended as parody. The candy is a treat. In other words, the day you are waiting for remembering those who died for the spread of Christianity, children despite secular society, are still keeping the custom of laughing in the face of death, and things may seem scary but there is a treat at the end. This is a terrible article, it obscures actual meaning and sterilizes everything. This is the Holy Evening before the celebration of those who came before, and rather than anything Satanic, it's an opportunity to tell people sacred history.

That's exactly the attitude that the enemy loves, as long as you believe evil is harmless you are under His spell. His main weapon is deception, so He loves to see people like you who have a Satanic avatar of Vishnu (a wicked blood thirsty Demon).

You guys think that the Devil is a funny little harmless man in a red suit, while in reality He's a super powerful, super evil, super blood thirsty murderer and liar. His main goal is to make you believe He doesn't exist, while in reality He knows His fate and He wants to take as many as he can to hell with Him.

I guess it's no use warning you because you have closed the door on reality and you have decided
For the sake of the mentally ill, don't go around speaking such utter nonsense. Those with a mental illness are ill, just like those with a cold or flu. No demons are involved. And with proper treatment you'll find that prayer is not necessary. There is nothing more "supernatural" or "otherworldly" about this than there is in a case of the measles.

Actually they too are regular human beings like the rest of us. It's nice to pretend they have demons or some other inhuman quality about them, but they are just as human as you or I. There are no "demonic forces" at work.

Is that why a bunch of people have found their life is manageable on anti-depressants, anxiolytics, mood stabilizers, and anti-psychotics?
I'm not sure what you base your assumptions on but I know they are not founded on facts. The problem is, that those who present as "mentally ill" don't have any physical symptoms. All of the outward symptoms are behavioral, so there is no biochemical reason for their irrational behavior so the only logical conclusion is spiritual oppression.

Drugs/Medications only suppress the brains normal function and cause people to think that the condition is being treated, while the truth is the condition hasn't changed at all. The drug suppresses the persons cognitive function, making them feel distracted while their brain is preoccupied with trying to function with the impairment the drug has caused.

So the drugs haven't healed or fixed anything, all they have done is suppress the persons brain function and the Doctors take credit for calming the person down so they aren't causing trouble any more.

I have seen people who were using Psychotropic Drugs to manage their behavioral problems and "depression" being healed by the power of prayer. The people testified later that they were oppressed by Demons, they are now completely drug free and they have been liberated from bondage to the Demonic forces.

God gives true believers a sound mind, all the people in my Church are high on the Holy Spirit. We are full of joy, and no drug could compare or produce the joy we feel. We are completely free from drugs, alcohol, fornication, and every other sin which unbelievers are in bondage to.

The only reason people take drugs is to change the way they feel, they are trying to escape their guilty conscience so they use drugs and alcohol to escape. The irony is, Christ offers a much better high and there is no cost or hangover and it super healthy. You unbelievers are chasing what we have, you run around like slaves trying to suppress your guilt with chemicals.

The reason you are trying to defend your position and classify "Sin" as a physical problem, which needs to be treated with Drugs/Medication is so you can call it an illness and avoid responsibility for depending on drugs to instead of God to feel good normally.

You won't be able to fool God on judgement day and say, "my depression was clinical" and no ta spiritual illness called "SIN" You can fool your friends and family but you will have to give an account for the way you lived the life God gave you.

You can never justify the use of drugs, yes certain drugs have a place. God gave us certain medicines to use for painful surgical procedures, they were not meant to be used to escape our responsibilities and open ourselves up to Demons by abusing them.

There is no satanic avatara of Vishnu. I am sorry your ignorance and request you not to defame Hindu belief.

Edit: There is no Satan in Hinduism. Many of the 'Asuras' (Mahabali, Prahlad, Mayasura) and Rakshasas (Ravana, Kumbhakarna, Marichi) are respected for their honesty and scholarship. All were great devotees of one or the other God or Goddess.

Really? You don't think the devil is a deceiver? Do you know what deception is? Do you know when you are being deceived...or is it later when you find out that you feel stupid?

That is totally your choice...you don't have to answer to me. You know that the day is celebrated by devil worshippers as their special day, so if you want that sort of company, go right ahead. The costumes should tell you something.....the more evil looking they are the better for some.

We don't slander anyone. Though we will call people out for teaching lies in the name of God or his Christ. You can take whatever you like with a grain of salt.....it won't change anything. The lie won't magically become the truth just because you don't want to believe it.

You pick and choose which scripture verses you want to follow. I know you don't follow them all. By the way, God wants the devil to deceive the world. Scripture says God creates evil.

God allows demons to roam freely in our world and to deceive people. If a man lets a roaring lion in the same room with his children, and the lion eats the children, the father wanted it to happen.

Since God wants so much evil in our world, we might as well enjoy God's will a bit.

Keep pretending God is some weakling that has no ability to cast demons into the abyss. He wants the demons to be powerful for a time.

Even after he casts The Devil into the pit, he later lets the devil out of the pit to deceive people.

The devil does God's will!

I don't like Halloween because I see it as (1) Americanisation and (2) commercialisation — no-one celebrated it in London when I was a boy. But if I weren't too old, I'd be tempted to join in just to offend the Christians. Of course it wouldn't, as our local Anglicans and Catholics are too sensible!

Modern holidays are usually a muddled mess of several traditions. I will say that your information is incorrect with regard to Samhain. Samhain is neither “satanic” nor “evil.” It’s merely a “thin time” in the Celtic pagan tradition.

I don’t see a problem in letting Halloween be what it has become for most: a fun time and a treat for the kids.

Halloween is all about glorifying all things evil and wicked, the powers of darkness are trying to attract people into the Occult. People don't know how dangerous and serious it is to dabble in the Occult, many folks have consulted the spirit world and invited Demons into their lives then they can't get rid of them.

There are millions of people who are possessed by Demons, the Doctors diagnose them as mentally ill but they don't realize that they are possessed. It's very hard to get rid of Demons when they posses a person, it takes a long time and a lot of prayer.

Most suicides are caused by Demonic oppression, the main aim of demons is to cause their victim to committ suicide. Satan and His Demons are masters of deception, their main aim is to cause people to think that they don't exist so they can get easy access to a person soul.

The world is full of Demonized people, we all thin k the person is crazy or has a mental illness but all of these mass murderers and war criminals and wicked people are actually possessed by Demons so we should wake up and face the facts.

Drugs open the door to the Demonic realm, they open the person up to the spiritual realm where the Demons can enter the person and cause them to commit murder and suicide, they may take a while to deprave the person to bring them into total depravity then they make them commit evil acts.
Someone’s been watching too much of Zak Bagans and Ghost Adventures.

Demonsdemonsdemonsdemonsdemons. The world is a daaaaangerous place, where we must mind eeeevery single action, or the Debbel will getcha! God would not possibly create a world that is inherently safe for us. Mars? The Debbel! Hershey’s? The Debbel! Jolly Ranchers? The Debbel! Pfft.

In fact as a boy in London in the 1960s (in a mixed Anglican/Catholic household) we used to have ducking apples, "turnip" lanterns (actually swedes) and a bit of dressing up in old sheets.

In France they don't seem to mark All Hallows Eve much but they do observe the Day of the Dead on 2nd November, which by tradition is when families go to clean and tidy up the graves of dead family members. I think this is a rather nice thing to do and intend to take it up myself.
