Nothing "satanic" about it. It's a popularised and secularised Christian festival where people get to dress up and kids get too much sugar. Some people just can't cope with the idea of other people having fun, and their knee jerk reaction is to claim there's something sinister about it.
It was unknown in Australia until the commercial world saw an opportunity to make more money from the 'sheeples' who blindly follow whatever seems trendy.
But if we identify as Christians, then the origins of any celebration are important. When Israel adopted spiritistic practices, God punished them, so it must be important to God.
WHERE DID IT COME FROM?
The Origin of Some Halloween Customs and Symbols
VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES, WITCHES, ZOMBIES: These creatures have long been associated with the evil spirit world.
CANDY: The ancient Celts tried to appease wicked spirits with sweets. The church later encouraged celebrants to go from house to house on All Hallows’ Eve, asking for food in return for a prayer for the dead. This custom eventually became Halloween’s trick or treat.
COSTUMES: The Celts wore frightening masks so that evil spirits would mistakenly think the wearers were spirits and would leave them alone. The church gradually amalgamated pagan customs with the feasts of All Souls and All Saints. Later, celebrants went from house to house wearing costumes of saints, angels, and devils.
PUMPKINS: Carved, candlelit turnips were displayed to repel evil spirits. To some, the candle in the turnip represented a soul trapped in purgatory. Later, carved pumpkins were more commonly used.

The Celts observe the festival of Samhain at the end of October, when they believe ghosts and demons roam the earth more so than at other times.

Pope Boniface IV is said to have established the annual celebration of All Saints’ Day to honor martyrs.*

The second of November is designated as All Souls’ Day to commemorate the dead. Observances surrounding All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day are collectively called Hallowtide.

The name of the holiday, Hallowe’en (Hallow Evening) appears in print as Halloween.
NINETEENTH CENTURY C.E.
Thousands of people who move from Ireland to the United States bring with them Halloween customs that, in time, combined with similar customs of emigrants from Britain and Germany, as well as Africa and other parts of the world.
TWENTIETH CENTURY C.E.
Halloween becomes a popular nationwide holiday in the United States.
Commercial interest in Halloween grows into a worldwide multibillion-dollar industry."

Thousands of Wiccans, who follow ancient Celtic rituals, still call Halloween by the ancient name Samhain and consider it to be the most sacred night of the year. Christians caught up in the tradition, ‘don’t realize it, but they’re actually celebrating their holiday with real witches and devil worshippers. Nice eh?
No thanks.....the world is evil enough without promoting all the things God hates, even one day of the year.
Its origins are sinister and I think its good to remember that God was around when the originals were being celebrated....he knows what people are really celebrating and its breaking his laws. (Deuteronomy 18:9-12)

Anyway, it's not really a pagan or satanic holiday but classically one where people remember their ancestors because they thought they could hear them. Hate them too?
I've always been amused when adults project their beliefs onto innocent people, especially in the case of modern Halloween where it's nothing but fun and games and candy for children.
Halloween is all about glorifying all things evil and wicked, the powers of darkness are trying to attract people into the Occult. People don't know how dangerous and serious it is to dabble in the Occult, many folks have consulted the spirit world and invited Demons into their lives then they can't get rid of them.
Nonsense.
For the sake of the mentally ill, don't go around speaking such utter nonsense. Those with a mental illness are ill, just like those with a cold or flu. No demons are involved. And with proper treatment you'll find that prayer is not necessary. There is nothing more "supernatural" or "otherworldly" about this than there is in a case of the measles.
Actually they too are regular human beings like the rest of us. It's nice to pretend they have demons or some other inhuman quality about them, but they are just as human as you or I. There are no "demonic forces" at work.
Is that why a bunch of people have found their life is manageable on anti-depressants, anxiolytics, mood stabilizers, and anti-psychotics?
Not really. It's not really important to Satanists, and what we are left with today is a heavily commercialized and bastardized modern incarnation of what once began as Celtic tradition.
It can tell you a bit about the individual wearing a costume, but not much beyond that. Me, I'm one of those "some," who gets off on scaring people, enjoys tears and wet pants, and sharing with the world the "dark and morbid" things that go through my head on a regular basis. I've angered parents, redefined costume policy and rules, and have pushed how far it is socially acceptable to scare people on the night of scary costumes and horror movies.
