I like how the Old Testament closes

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.
True... additionally Jesus read Isaiah 61 as applying to himself ... and so I am being consistent
but I do see it as a continuation of the thoughts expressed and work seen in Isaiah 57:15 and Isaiah 59:15
Well, Jesus said a lot of things according to the gospels that I, as a Jew, simply don't believe. :) He either didn't actually say it, or he was mistaken, or he was speaking figuratively.

Additionally i like Malachi... which ends the English Bible.. Malachi means 'my messengert' and he represents the greater 'my messenger' coming.... Christians see 'my messenger' as being Jesus. An interesting didactic diagnosis about love.

Again, Malachi ends the CHRISTIAN Bible. It does not end the Jewish Tanakh. Ours ends with Chronicles telling how Israel returns from captivity and rebuilds the Temple--a triumph.

2 Chronicles 23 “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:
“‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Any of his people among you may go up, and may the Lord their God be with them.’”

Matthew 28
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go ...Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
