What is Life of Faith

is living a life of faith an action? or faith without application?

I find 'faith an action' because faith without works is dead as per James 2:26 B.

If one has faith (trust) in a local weather man when he says it definitely will rain hard so be prepared, then to stay dry one would have to take along the necessary things to keep dry if one expects to be out in the elements.
So, having faith in the weather man shows an action to be taken, that would then be true then about living a life of faith and take the action of applying Matthew 24:14; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts of the Apostles 1:8 to tell others about the good news about God's coming kingdom of Daniel 2:44 that it will be the government that is the coming solution to man's problems.

It's trusting a "higher" power is there to keep you safe/out of trouble.

It's a release of responsibility for whatever happens to you. That's a pretty big burden to have taken off your shoulders. Put your trust in God, the burden for your life is no longer yours. You don't have to be perfect, you don't have to be right all of the time. You can simply trust God is leading you down the path you need to go.

Having no God means I have to accept a screw-up is a screw-up. There is no secret divine agenda leading me through some obstacle in life from which I have to learn to be a better person.

A screw-up could be fatal for me or someone else. There's no guarantee that I'm not going to make a total and complete mess out of my life, or someone else's. Living a life of "faith" allows one to believe in a guarantee that's not going to happen, whether it's true or not.

I think faith means faithfulness that means loyalty. If person has faith to God, he is loyal to God. And loyalty can be seen in actions that are for example that person remains in God’s words.

so being faithful doesn't requiring an action to be faithful?

unfaithful means to act falsely

One's life becomes a prayer consciously aware of being in God's presence. Reminds me of Tevye in 'Fiddler....'

If person is faithful/loyal, he acts accordingly, does things that show he is loyal.
so there is work involved by the faithful, or holder of faith, and not just a word implying waiting for someone, or something, else to deliver.

loyality requires an action of being loyal; which is to be...

faithful in carrying out legal obligations; conformable to the laws of honor.

True Faith always humble's man and exalts God. It exalts God through an inward attitude of Reliance and dependence upon God. And it exalts God through good works that glorify God. Of course these good works only come after a person is born again not before. Our good works before salvation are "filthy rags"
Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

love covers all sins.
It is true that Jesus came into the world and his loving sacrifice made an atonement for sins, and covers sin but in this particular passage of scripture Peter is talking about interpersonal relationships. And how our love for each other is forgiving and does not bring up offenses.

he who blasphemes against christ, blasphemes against his own spirit. jesus can't forgive that. colossians 3:11,

proverbs 10:12

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Is your carnal mind rebelling against humility and exalting God?
Romans 8:6-7 "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."

so there is work involved by the faithful,.

In that sense that, if person is faithful, it will be seen in his actions also, but the actions don’t then come because person thinks it is required, but because person is faithful and wants to do them freely.
