I am afraid I can only effectively address one of your misapprehensions at a time:

happy0176.gif
I'm sorry, but I have never seen you "effectively" address anything I have ever posted. You have given me your opinion. What is it worth, do you think? What if you are the one with the misapprehensions?
confused0060.gif
How would you know? Who else believes what you believe?

Your problem is that your religion comes straight out of Christendom.

Well now, that's just the thing.....we have nothing in common with Christendom, having left that corrupt system of worship over 100 years ago, we have 8 and a half million people who all agree on the Bible's truth. No one in Christendom agrees with us.

The leaders of the Holy Roman Empire were crowned by the "dragon's" pope, who simply represents the "dragon" giving authority to the beast. The holy Roman church was instituted by the "beast with two horns like a lamb", Constantine, and its purpose is to deceive those "who dwell on the earth" (Revelation 13:14). The pope/Pontiff got his authority as keeper of the gods and calendar from Constantine, who got it from Julius Caesar, who took it from the pagan church Pontiffs.

Who said?

You? Why would I think that some person on an internet forum who has no affiliation with any recognizable religion has anything but his own opinion to share? Where do you get this stuff? Do you just make it up?

Babylon the Great is the entire world empire of false religion. Her most prominent segment today is apostate Christendom, which emerged as a powerful lawless organization in the fourth century after Christ, with creeds and formalities derived not from the Bible, but largely from Babylonish religion. The chief instrument of Babylon the Great is the clergy of Christendom. The false prophet puts forth the image of the beast for the people to worship which is another gospel and another Jesus. Those who accept the mark of the beast will suffer from the wrath of God during the tribulation. Babylon will be destroyed, and then the battle of armagedden will destroy the beast and the false prophet.

The current beast is the 8th head of the beast, who "was and is not". The current 8th head of the beast is in the form of an "unclean spirit" (Revelation 16:13), such as a spirit of demon (Revelation 16:14). His 10 horns, "are ten kings" (Revelation 17:11), who will receive authority for "one hour", which is to infer a short time. Examples of the 10 kings who will "hate the harlot (Judah) " (Revelation 17:16) would be men such as Hitler, Ferdinand II of Aragon, who set up the Spanish Inquisition under papal control, and who in 1492 evicted the Jews from Spain. Judah and Ephraim/Israel, have been under judgment for over 2000 years. It is after 2 days/2000 years that they/Israel, will "acknowledge their guilt" and "return to the LORD" (Hosea 5:15 & Hosea 6:1).

The "beast with two horns like a lamb" (Revelation 13:11), who was the 7th head of the beast is dead. Those "who dwell on the earth" are already deceived and carry the mark (Revelation 13). The 5th head of the beast, Julius Caesar, was slain, and came back as the 6th head of the beast, the first 10 Augustus Caesars. Later, Caesar's godhead, and authority was taken by the 7th head of the beast, Constantine, after reuniting a divided Rome.

As for the "great tribulation", unless it was "cut short" for the "elect", no one would have survived. Those with the seal of God, will not be harmed by the locust of Revelation 9:4-5). Those with the mark of the beast will drink from the cup of the wrath of God (Revelation 14:10). This is to say all will suffer the "great tribulation", but some will heed the "Word of God", keep the commandments, and will not take the mark of the beast, and go into their rooms and shut the door, and apparently be immune to the locusts.

The valley of YHWH's judgement/valley of Jehoshaphat, Har-Magedon, is for the nations who "scattered" "My inheritance, Israel... among the nations" (Joel 3:2). The "beast and the false prophet" are already dead, and live only by way of their demon spirits (Revelation 16:13). Babylon will be as if thrown into the sea by a "strong angel" (Revelation 18:21). "In her was found the blood of prophets and of saints" (Revelation 18:24).

4 From God’s viewpoint, however, there
is a worse form of prostitution—spiritual
harlotry, or claiming to worship the true
God while actually giving worship and affection
to other gods. Ancient Jerusalem
took her prostitution a step further. She
gave presents to those nations that spiritually
fornicated with her, polluting true
worship.—Ezekiel 16:34.
5 Even in this 20th century, spiritual
harlotry is common in the world religious
system. Christendom is the most prominent
part of that system—a system that
the Bible calls “Babylon the Great, the
mother of the harlots and of the disgusting
things of the earth.”—Revelation 17:5.
At Revelation 14:8,
a heavenly angel calls this woman
of ill repute “Babylon the Great” and
describes her as a seducer of nations.
Since she is that dangerous, we should be
happy to know that Jehovah’s “appointed
time is near” for executing judgment on
her.—Revelation 1:3.
Babylon the
Great had fallen, condemned to death! It
was high time for all lovers of truth and
righteousness to act on the prophetic command
at Jeremiah 51:45: “Get out of the midst of her, 0 my people, and provide
each one his soul with escape from the
burning anger of Jehovah.”
11 Babylon the Great has fallen! But she
is not yet destroyed. As a world empire of
false religion, she will exist a short time
longer as Satan’s masterpiece of deception.
What is God’s final judgment on her?
We are not left in doubt!
Let us turn in
our Bibles to Revelation 17:1, 2. Here an
angel addresses the apostle John and,
through him, students of prophecy today,
saying: “Come, I will show you the judgment
upon the great harlot who sits on
many waters, with whom the kings of the
earth committed fornication, whereas
those who inhabit the earth were made
drunk with the wine of her fornication.”
The term “many waters” refers to the
turbulent masses of mankind, so long oppressed
by the great harlot. And the
prophecy states that “those who inhabit
the earth” are made drunk with her wine.
They imbibe the false teachings and
worldly, immoral ways of Babylon the
Great and are sent reeling, as though inebriated
by cheap, illicit wine.
12 At James 4:4 we read: “Adulteresses,
do you not know that the friendship
with the world is enmity with God?”
Twentieth-century religion is all too ready
to curry favor with the world, and that is
especially true of Christendom. Not only
do her clergy fail to proclaim the good
news of Jehovah’s incoming Kingdom but
they water down the Bible’s moral teachings,
condoning worldly permissiveness
among church members. Even the clergy
are not so innocent as to fleshly fornication,
which was so roundly condemned by
the apostle Paul when he said: “Do not be
misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters,
nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural
purposes, nor men who lie with men
. . . will inherit God’s kingdom.

Have you solved the mystery of who she is ?
The Roman Empire. Also, in one of the books of Peter, a verse uses the feminine form of "Babylon", which was code back then for the city of Rome. If one knows and remembers biblical history, it was the Babylonian Empire especially that was most oppressive in the region, and the Romans repeated that oppression.

SHE has fallen! Babylon the Great
has fallen, she who made all the
L Jnations drink of the wine of the
anger of her fornication!” “Babylon the
Great has fallen, and she has become a
dwelling place of demons and a lurking
place of every unclean exhalation and a
lurking place of every unclean and hated
bird!”—Revelation 14:8; 18:2.
What a startling prophecy! “Babylon
the Great has fallen!” For centuries this
symbolic statement has intrigued students
of the Bible. Why should it interest
you? Because, according to Bible prophecy,
Babylon the Great’s destiny will soon
affect all mankind. As we have seen in the
April 1 and April 15 issues of this magazine,
this influential harlot is clearly identified
as Satan’s world empire of false
religion.
Babylon the Great cannot symbolize politics and
big business, as they are shown lamenting her fall.
(Revelation 18:911־ (The only other major element
of Satan’s world system is religion. Her ties with spiritism serve to confirm the religious identification.—Revelation 18:23.
What basis does Jehovah have for judging
the world empire of false religion?
Surely, some might think, he should view
with favor all the schools, hospitals, and
charitable works that various religions
have promoted. But how does all that measure
up against the indictment that Jehovah
levels against the world’s religions?
Let us briefly examine that indictment
and the record of religion.*
“One of the seven angels that had the
seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying:
‘Come, I will show you the judgment
upon the great harlot who sits on many
waters, with whom the kings of the earth
committed fornication, whereas those who
inhabit the earth were made drunk with
the wine of her fornication.’” (Revelation
17:1, 2)
religion’s complicity with national rulers,
“the kings of the earth,” to the detriment
of the people down through history, may
be compared to the behavior of a selfseeking,
fornicating harlot. But the indictment
continues.
“And I saw that the woman was drunk
with the blood of the holy ones and with
the blood of the witnesses of Jesus.” “Yes,
in her was found the blood of prophets and
of holy ones and of all those who have
been slaughtered on the earth.” (Revelation
17:6; 18:24) Bloodguilt must be
charged against Babylon the Great because
of her martyring true Christians
over the centuries, including a number
who dared to translate the Bible into the
language of the common people, and also
many who dared to possess and read the
Bible. Great Babylon is bloodguilty also on
account of the true Christians who have
been martyred more recently in prisons
and concentration camps, whether under
Nazism, Fascism, or other dictatorships.
Note that the indictment refers to “all
those who have been slaughtered on the
earth,” which would include the hundreds
of millions all over the world who have
died in wars and vendettas that have been
fought down through history by people
claiming to be religious.—Compare Matthew
23:34-36; 2 Timothy 3:5.
God’s judging of Babylon the Great addresses
another aspect of her guilt. The
judgment states: “By your spiritistic practice
all the nations were misled.” (Revelation
18:23) Interestingly, “spiritistic practice”
translates the Greek phar-ma-ki'a,
which “primarily signified the use of medicine,
drugs, spells; then, poisoning; then,
sorcery.”* In a spiritual sense, false religion
has poisoned the nations, misleading
them into believing in false gods and
teachings that have diverted their attention
from Jehovah and the issue of universal
sovereignty. By its erroneous teaching
of the immortality of the soul, false religion
also laid the foundation for every
kind of spiritism and sorcery, inspiring
fear of the dead and worship of ancestors.
God’s condemnation of Babylon the Great
is totally justified. As John wrote: “Her
sins have massed together clear up to
heaven, and God has called her acts of
injustice to mind.”—Revelation 18:5.
In view of the fallen state of Babylon the
Great and her judged condition, what must
sincere lovers of truth now do? Isaiah’s prophecy relating to ancient Babylon
applies with even greater force with regard
to false religion today:
“Turn away, turn away,
get out of there, touch
nothing unclean; get out
from the midst of her,
keep yourselves clean, you
who are carry in g the
utensils of Jehovah.” (Isaiah
52:11) This urgent call
parallels that of Revelation
18:4: “And I heard
another voice out of heaven
say: ‘Get out of her
[Babylon the Great], my
people, if you do not want
to share with her in her
sins, and if you do not
want to receive part of her
plagues.’”
Yes, it is time to sever all affiliations
with false religion. But if we get out of
Babylon the Great, where must we turn?
To Jehovah’s true worship in association
with his witnesses. Already, millions from
all the nations of the earth are streaming
to the symbolic “mountain of Jehovah.”
You too are invited to study the Bible with
Jehovah’s Witnesses and join in this true
worship.—Isaiah 2:2-4; 43:10-12.

Babylon the great, is not any world empire nor any world government nor any religion.
All though she sits over the world's government's, and people And religions.
Guiding them under her influence of confusion.

Babylon means = Confusion

Therefore Babylon the great is keeping people and government's and religions, under her .
influence of Confusion.

Actually she is real great at it to,
Seeing how people and government's and religion's, are in a state of confusion. And they don't even know it.

That's how great she is, at keeping people and government's and religion's, in a state of Babylon = Confusion.

In Revelation 18:2 it is written ---"And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird"

What happened, that Babylon is fallen, is fallen?

Well Seeing her mask of deception has been taken off, That people, government's, religions, come to realize they were all deceived by her Influence of keeping them in
Babylon = Confusion.
Therefore causes her to fall.
Babylon is fallen, is fallen.

Alot of Christians are taught the Mother of Harlots in Revelation 17, As being the Roman Catholic Church. Unto which the Roman Catholic Church is not the Mother of Harlots in Revelation 17.
Only because the Roman Catholic Church resembles by the appearance the Mother of Harlots in Revelation 17.

But yet Christ Jesus gave warning in the book of John 7:24--" Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment"

To judge anything by the Appearance, can and will be misleading.
Therefore to judge the Roman Catholic Church based solely on Resemblance and Appearance.
"Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment" John 7:24

Matt.7. [1] "Judge not, that you be not judged. [2] For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you dishout, it shall be measured to you again. [3] And why beholdest you, the mote that is in your brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in your own eye"

Whom or what does Babylon the Great
symbolize? The Bible says that world rulers
have committed fornication with her
and that merchants have traded with her.
(Revelation 18:3) Hence, she cannot represent
politics or big business. But this
leaves the third powerful element in the
world as the only candidate for the title
‘mother of harlots.’ She is none other than
Satan’s world empire of false religion!
Jesus Christ taught that his followers
should love not only their neighbors but
also their enemies. (Matthew 5:43, 44)
Quoting from the Hebrew Scriptures, Paul
spelled out how Christians should treat
their foes. He said: ‘“ If your enemy is
hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him
something to drink; for by doing this you
will heap fiery coals upon his head.’ Do not
let yourself be conquered by the evil, but
keep conquering the evil with the good.”
—Romans 12:20, 21.
Yet, the history of Christendom’s religions
is one of hatred and bloodshed. Ancient
and modern-day crusades involving
pillage, rape, and death have been blessed
and condoned. For instance, Fascist Italy’s
rape of Abyssinia (1935) and Franco’s “crusade”
in the Spanish Civil War (1936-39)
were blessed by dignitaries of the Catholic
Church.
But Babylon the Great consists of more
than the religions of Christendom. All the
major religions of this world share in that
infamous harlot’s bloodguilt. For example,
the Shinto religion of Japan must bear part
of the blame for the fanatical and sadistic
mentality evidenced by the Japanese milltary
in World War II. Historian Paul Johnson
holds that “to fortify themselves in
a stern, competitive world” dominated
by European standards of behavior, they
found it necessary to invent “a state religion
and a ruling morality, known as Shinto
and bushido [the “way of the warrior”].
. . . Regular emperor-worship was established,
especially in the armed forces, and
from the 1920s onwards a national code of
ethics, kokumin dotoku, was taught in all
the schools.” What was the result? By
1941, when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor
and thus entered World War II, “Shinto ...
was transformed from a primitive, obsolescent
and minority cult into an endorsement
of a modern, totalitarian state, and
so by a peculiarly odious irony, religion,
which should have served to resist the secular
horrors of the age, was used to sanctify
them.”
Concerning the partition of India in
1947, in which religious differences were a
factor, historian Johnson says: “Some 5 to
6 million people ran for their lives in each
direction. . . . Estimates of the dead at the
time ranged from 1 to 2 million. More
modern calculations are in the 200,000 to
600,000 range.” To this day, religiously
motivated killing and humiliation take
place in Hindu society. Often Harijans, or
outcasts formerly called untouchables, are
the victims of gang murder organized by
rich landowners.
When we study the history of the worldwide
empire of religion, we can easily see
why the Supreme Judge has a basis for the
execution of Babylon the Great. “Yes, in
her was found the blood of prophets and of
holy ones and of all those who have been
slaughtered on the earth.” (Revelation 18:
24) False religion’s complicity in regional
and world wars has made her guilty in
God’s sight for the blood of “all those who
have been slaughtered on the earth.”
According to the Biblical indictment,
Babylon the Great has been judged worthy
of destruction by reason of her historical
record of spiritual fornication with world
rulers, her bloodguilt in wars, and her spiritistic practices.
Therefore, Jehovah God
has judicially determined that Satan’s
world empire of false religion must be terminated.—Revelation 18:3, 23, 24.
In highly symbolic language, the book
of Revelation describes the destruction of
Babylon the Great. At Revelation 17:16 we
read: “The ten horns that you saw, and the
wild beast, these will hate the harlot and
will make her devastated and naked, and
will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely
burn her with fire.” “The ten horns”
symbolize all the political powers now on
the world scene and that support the
United Nations, the “scarlet-colored wild
beast,” itself the image of the Devil’s bloodstained
political system.—Revelation 16:2;
17:3.*
According to Bible prophecy, the political
powers associated with the United Nations
will turn against the world empire of
false religion and devastate her. All false
religions will be affected. Some political
systems have already shown their impatience
with false religion’s interference in
political and social spheres. Some socialistic
countries have taken a stand for atheism
and have reduced religion to a virtual
nonentity, as in Albania, or to a compliant
handmaiden, as in Russia and China. Elsewhere,
political rulers show strong resentment
for the liberation theology of some
Catholic priests in poorer countries. Yet
others repress religions that get involved
in racial matters. Even in so-called liberal
countries, some politicians resent clerical
meddling in politics and social issues.
It remains to be seen just what further
issues will provoke the political elements
worldwide to act against false religion. But
one thing is certain—the execution of Babylon
the Great
That “one day,” or short time of swift
execution, is now near. In fact, the destruetion
of Babylon the Great ushers in “the
day of vengeance on the part of our God.”
(Isaiah 61:2) Thereafter, God’s just war of
Armageddon will be upon us. All the evidence
of world events since 1914 indicates
that time is running out for Satan’s systern
of things. Therefore, the rule of God’s
Kingdom is at hand.—Luke 21:32-36; Revelation
16:14-16
