We live in an international market. It is not so simple. Trump's rather idiotic tariffs on steel and aluminum may help our few remaining produces of those metals, but it harms every business that builds using those metals. Most of them have to import from overseas since U.S. production is not high enough. Worse yet the people that they are competing against, materials made overeas, do not have tariffs on them.

I expect you suppose that the short term goals of the agenda outweigh the long term? The long term approach always produces better results than the short fix. The whole agenda has to be completed to make America great again. United sates wealth belongs to Americans, not foreign nations. The USA will prosper regardless, and if countries want to compete they will need to do the same. There will not be war but a rebirth in aggressive human ingenuity pressed by competitive markets and that my friend is a good thing.

This is simply not true. Campaign finance laws are complicated and I do not pretend to be an expert, but you should make careful note of the “s” at the end of the phrase “campaign finance laws”. We are not talking about a simple single law but rather a category of laws and legal codes. You can go to prison for violation of campaign finance laws. People have gone to prison for violating campaign finance laws. That is not my opinion, that is a fact.

The two counts of violation of campaign finance law the Michael Cohen just pleaded guilty to are felonies. These could and likely will lead to jail time.

(I find it interesting when the topic was illegal border crossing and I pointed out that crossing the border illegally was a misdemeanour, certain people were still content with the idea of locking everyone up for it, but this crime does not seem to elicit the same reaction from them.
