Thanks. What Father Heathen was not taking into account is that no one was trying to destroy the Inuit while hardliner Muslims (what many are now calling Islamists) do want to destroy and enslave. PopeADope, I am curious. What is that flag? I don't recall seeing anything like it.
It's the flag of the Catholic Church!

That is an interesting story about the eskimos in WW2.

That was not so very long ago!

There was a man, Curtis I believe was his name,
who travelled extensively to photograph and record
the natives he found, knowing that the last days
of the old days were passing fast.

In one account, he mentions travelling by dofsled
over some mountains in Alaska, in a blizzard and
finding and Eskimo house. "House".

A tiny thing, partly underground, driftwood and sod.

Everyone inside was sick, and he mentions the
horrific stench.

An acquaintance who lived in Alaska has told me
various things about his experience with Eskimos.

Of course, it is cell phones and facebook with them
now, not harpoons and kayaks.

And there are way more of them than ever before.

But the main takeaway I got from what he said is
that they seem lost. Dont know who they are,
what they should do, where they are going.

Suicide, alcohol, drugs,squalor,welfare,violence,
unemployment.

That they need to start telling themselves a
new story about themselves.

Well, that is off topic, but there it is anyway.

Thanks for that. I Googled him and his name was Edward Curtis, born 1868. He did some amazing photography. I think I have heard of him.

In that photograph of the Inuit family my father took everyone looked hale and hearty. My father's location was Isachsen, Ellef Ringnes Island, within the arctic circle, so they were pretty isolated. I think there may still be a weather station there. What my dad pointed out was that, at least among the men he worked with, no one ever got sick, despite the cold. He told me that winter temperatures sometimes reached -60 F., that the frost on the inside of the windows was 6 inches thick and that they always (in winter) had to break the ice on the toilet before using it. Yet within days of returning home he landed in hospital. He later decided that if there were no germs there was no illness and thought that the year in isolation must have compromised his immune system.

I imagine that very sick Inuit family Curtis came across was the result of them living too close to civilization. I am certainly sympathetic to the plight of the Inuit today. As you point out their numbers have significantly increased, but they have some very real problems. I doubt few of them would want to return to a wholly traditional way of life though, so I don't know what the answer might be, but I definitely agree with you: they have lost their way.

I already listed the items that make Trump racist here is a supplemental

"A majority of U.S. voters say President TrumpDonald John Trump2 women win Georgia Dem runoffs, extending streak for female candidatesGiuliani on Trump-Cohen audio: 'I've dealt with much worse tapes than this' Roseanne to sit down with Hannity in first television interview since ABC canceled showMORE has emboldened racists to express their beliefs openly, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll.

Fifty-five percent of voters said Trump has made it easier for those with racist beliefs to share those views publicly. Thirty-nine percent disagreed."

"Most Americans think President Trump is a racist, according to a new poll by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

More than half of adults think his policies have worsened the lives of Muslims and Hispanics, while almost half say the president has worsened the lives of African Americans."

Golly, the same people had a poll showing Hillary Clinton was going to win the 2016 election!

LOL

Look, this thread is about whether you pray for President Trump. If you want to start your own thread about how he is supposedly a racist, go ahead, and see how your arguments go. Stop trying to hijack this thread. Regardless of your opinion that he is racist, the question is do you pray for him? Although when you stop and think about it, someone that thinks he is a racist has more reason to pray for him, not less.

That's what every conservative talking head repeats. That isn't proof that all polls can't be trusted from here on out. That's pretty simple thinking.

All polls had Hillary winning, even RW polls. But I'd bet you still believe the RW polls. Polls didn't take into account the propaganda attack via RW media and Russia influencing the vote. Even after all that noise, Trump still couldn't win more votes than Hillary.

Does it bother you that the majority of jews vote democratic? Why do you think that is?

To the OP, actually I do, but too bad Trump doesn't pray for Trump as he admits he doesn't pray and doesn't need God's forgiveness.

For Christians sticking it to us non Trump supporters, by telling us to pray for him, DID YOU PRAY FOR OBAUMA AND CLINTON? Did you pray for God to bless Obauma and Clinton and to use them for Gods work?

I have prayed to God to change Trumps heart towards women and stop sexually harrassing women. and I have also prayed for God to work through him.

Cougarbear: Yet, look at all he has accomplished:
1. lower taxation and a higher debt
2. less regulations and smaller government bigger government considering he wants to control abortion no abortion and has done to immigration hes added more government

3. Stronger military weaker military especially sense hes had to sense them to the order and to do stupid stuff they arent suppose to do has the war ended?
4. Better VA benefits
5. More pay for the military5 through 8 are the same one thing he has gotten more jobs Ill give you that that takes care of 5 6 and 8
6. 3.7 million new jobs in 20 months of his Presidency
7. Labor Participation Rate increasing
8. Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Women at historic low unemployment
9. GDP for the 2nd Quarter may be as high as 4.8%
10. Began talks with NK to denuclearize and hes failing and they are not denuclearizing
11. U.S. Embassy in Israel moved to Jerusalem that I will give him though i have no idea why
12. The Jerusalem Embassy only cost $400,000 instead of the $1 Billion purposed by bureaucrats I doubt that hes saved us that much money or the debt would not be as bad as it is
13. Keeping the U.S. a sovereign nations and trying to stop illegal immigration
14. Pro-police, military and ICE getting rid of MS-13 gangs
15. Bringing companies back to the U.S. from abroad I have yet to see it I have seen companys saying their moving to canada along with alot of people escaping from Trump

There seems to be enough prayers that things are getting done under his leadership. Now, he's taking on Russia and those that have abused our relationships with them in the world of trade.

Hes doing a bad job at most of which you listed.

I never said that all polls can’t be trusted. I pointed out that the AP polls have issues. You may dismount your high horse at your leisure.

Jews are not a monolith. Some vote Democratic others don’t. Those that vote Democratic tend to be more secular. It all depends on the candidates. It doesn’t bother me. It may surprise you to learn that Jews don’t always agree amongst themselves. ;)

Here in America, jews vote democratic. I didn't say all jews, the majority do. Asians vote democratic too. Do you know why?
