E = mc^2 is liberal claptrap!

At least according to this very reliable source:rolleyes:

http://www.conservapedia.com/E=mc²

"E=mc² asserts that the energy (E) in an unmoving particle is equal to the square of the speed of light () times the mass (m) of that particle.[1] The complete form, when applied to moving objects, is E²=(mc²)²+(pc)², where p represents momentum,[2] It is a statement that purports to relate all matter to energy. In fact, no theory has successfully unified the laws governing mass (i.e., gravity) with the laws governing light (i.e., electromagnetism), and numerous attempts to derive E=mc² from first principles have failed.[3] Political pressure, however, has since made it impossible for anyone pursuing an academic career in science to even question the validity of this nonsensical equation. Simply put, E=mc² is liberal claptrap."

We know what liberal claptrap is - science, ethics, democracy and the like. All true conservatives have to stand up and proudly proclaim lying, dictatorship, superstition, Putin is a role model, white makes right and that God-Emperor Trump will reign for the rest of his life before passing on the mantle to his heir.

I'd guess no scientist ever reads or edits conservapedia? I've seen some quite insane definitions from there before.

They don't care so why would they bother? Do you care enough to correct flat earth blogs? I believe most scientists have far better things to do with their time.

Quickly scanning the piece on E= it appears to be written by a high schooler, or at least by someone with no more than a high school education. if that.

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

Did atomic fission stop working when this post was published?

We're in agreement! Rare, isn't it? :)

If it isn't, that is worrisome in another way...

Is conservapedia a joke website or is it serious?

Did some reading...I guess it is serious...so now reproducible truth is a liberal dogma...well, I guess us liberals will soon be leaving the conservatives to their Ludditian ways. Maybe we can go to a new world using our science and technology when the sun goes supernova and the consesrvatives can wait for their literalistic God to (not) save them. Sounds like the story of Noah where the Noah is the liberal and the sons of Cain are...well, I think you can guess that one...

Justice will be served in the course of time I suppose.

Sadly they think that they are serious.

This is even more hilarious than when they proposed exploding volcanoes as an explanation of how some animals got back to Australia. That article was up for years.

I have this diabolical streak in me that wants to make this website my new best friend for profoundly sarcastic commentary.

Well, it isn't too much work to turn it into one. Maybe I should start making edits quoting other conservapedia articles in an apparently sincere way only...well, not being sincere but subtly ironic.
