Was Jesus Christ a Vegetarian or a non Vegetarian ?

Was Jesus Christ a Vegetarian or a non Vegetarian ?
He seemed to be a fan of figs, at one point going into a destructive rage when he couldn't find them.

He gave other people bread, wine, and fish.

Other than that, I think the Gospels are silent on Jesus's food preferences.

I would love to see the screen shot of that paraphrase if you can arrange one ?

I would rather see the screen shot of "Jesus actually eating fish/meat" if you can arrange one

And giving others what they like, does not mean He ate fish !

But it would mean that he thinks eating fish is ethical.

If Jesus were judging "people eating fish", He would violate the commandment from the Bible "do not judge". He would set a bad example.

Let me get this straight:

- you think that Jesus is opposed to people eating fish.
- you think he gave people fish anyway, even though he could have created other food (loaves, at least).

Is that correct?

No not exactly [where did I give you that impression, I wonder]:
- I think that Jesus is NOT opposed to these people eating fish
- I think he gave people fish because that is what they like best

Note: Of course that is just my imagination. I couldn't check this one with Jesus. So speculation
Note: "Fishermen's friend": Although Jesus was one, they were not yet for sale [so fish instead]

Definitely He was NOT a fish eater according to the gospels IMHO.

40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

Luke 24

After posting I checked it, and was thinking "How I talk myself out of this one?"
But after carefully reading it, this verse is "in sync" with "Jesus was vegetarian"

verse 43 : And he took it, and did eat before them.

Jesus accepted "it"
Jesus "did eat before them"

Not stating that Jesus ate the fish
More probably He was vegetarian
Otherwise they might have stated "He ate the fish"
To make it abundantly clear which item He ate

Would be strange if Jesus were to eat fish
Because Genesis 1:29 is quite particular about diet
And Jesus was known to "Listen to the Father"
Fully surrender on the Cross, not fussy about diet (fasting 40 days)

Jesus leaves many things for us to learn for ourselves and says plainly he is not teaching everything explicitly. Its not clear whether he would be Ok with vegetizing Judaism but probably would not suggest it. My opinion he is Ok with meat eating. Peter considers all meat to be clean enough for gentiles and possibly Jews. Paul seems to think that dietary restrictions have no net effect on human morality.

I think you quoted the wrong person!

My apology. I replied to you, who was apparently replying to Chinu when you said "... I get the feeling there's a point you wanna establish - would you mind sharing your own views on this topic?..."

Possibly relevant: while he didn't apparently eat pork, there's that story in the Gospels where Jesus kills a group of pigs.
