The Bible Is True...

Sure, you have found that there is a message but now you are couching it in religious dof me. Focus more on the personal message to you. It might take some time to find it.

I figure you meant dogma? Maybe?

I think the Bible contains timeless wisdom and it has a personal message with each word. God doesn't want dogma or religion but He calls people to be free, in Him.

Right. I think as long as you get the message all the other stuff doesn't matter

Hmm. I disagree. I mean, if you get the message then have a stroke and die, sure, didn't matter. But as we live to read and learn is purpose.

It says the Bible is "living and active" ... meaning we can re read and learn thiingscwe didn't see before. And much more...

"All the other stuff" I find immensely fascinating.

By stuff I mean all the controversy of whether or not the bible is factual when compared to the real world or that there are seeming conundrums and what not. That is the veneer that clouds the true message.

To the Jewish people it is history. It has accurate genealogies, cities, names, marriages, and endless examples of poetry, imagery and more writing outlines we can learn from today. It's very much never to be fully understood but that's part of the beauty. It doesn't contradict itself and can be used to grow spiritually.

But I think I understand your point. With or without a bible I believe God can work in someone's life.

Yes, I think that it is a personal universal truth

Contextually, not the answer that you have surmised.
No answer at all, by the look of it.

If I might make a friendly suggestion, you really should understand, even if just for your own benefit, what you think 'truth' means, the test you apply to tell whether something is 'true' or not.

As you've seen, I use an objective test. An objective test has many and major advantages, and can save a great deal of waffling.

Weren't you religious at one time? Did you test before those religious beliefs?

I'm asking, because I'm not a religious person, never have been. Hence, was that always your methodology, or what?

I got serious about religion on two occasions I can recall, one when I was 14 and got confirmed (Piscos), and one a while after my father died. The second time led to some >genuine enquiries<, but I found nothing.

If you mean, did I consciously use that definition of truth at the time, yes I did. I was careful not to seek or fall into a conversation with myself.
