Dr. Seuss understood the Trumps of his world much as he understood the Basket of Deplorables.

Nods to his love for dictators such as Kim and Putin are, however, apt, as is noticing his hatred of immigrants and his love for white supremists.
If his love for Rocket Man results in peaceful Koreas, than let his love shine.
But this histrionic cry of "Hitler!" at every mention of Trump is worse than childish.
It's disgraceful.

What? Me worry?
I think the take away here is -- not that Trump is as bad as Hitler -- but that Trump is employing some of the same tactics. To dismiss that as mere Trump = Hitler stuff is both nonsensical and a refusal to learn any lessons from history.

Really, S?

Defending the obsession with Hitler is nonsensical.
Really, S?
The continual association of Trump & Hitler seems an artful way
to claim equivalence without having to defend any specific claim.
"There are similarities with Hitler!"
"Don't ignore history!"
Well duh...it reminds me of the old Kennedy & Lincoln coincidences
which circulated decades ago, ie, to seek connections is to find.

It changes discussion from analyzing policy to demonizing the person
by applying a label followed by something like "Nuff said".

I have to agree that we have to stop with the Hitler comparisons.

It does us no good because it is a straw man comparison.

Criticize his specific actions. There's enough merit to go into detail and make a stand alone point.

No doubt you respond to the Niemöller poem with the same defensive vitriol. The reflex is simultaneous instructive and beneath contempt.
Vitriol....how ironic a claim, given the OP.
You slyly attempt to deflect by making about defense of something or other.
No, it's about objecting to your turning what could be a discussion about
policy into another Trump-as-Hitler bash thread. It's vapid, mean, &
disrespectful to the history referenced....IOW, rubbish.

And, if we at the same time can have everyone on the right stop comparing Hillary, Bernie, Barack, etc., with Stalin and Mao, well, that would be a good thing too.

But do look out: people who want power want power so they can do things...and those things are rarely in the interest of most of society...if we don't keep our eyes open for the kinds of behaviors that every cabal and junta ever has used to take and keep power, then there's a good chance that we will end up subject to some small, power-hungry group that will be ready to kill to be in charge.

We thankfully voted that party out at the last election.

We voted out a party that wants power to further their agenda?

Only to replace it with another party, one that wants power to further its agenda?

Doesn't sound like progress to me...

Rushish to rubbish. Neat! How often do you guys agree?

The thread isn't comparing Trump to Hitler, imo. It is about comparing Trump to a wolf who eats foreign children.
