Failed NT Prophecies about the Second Coming of Jesus

That is why the Lord Jesus Christ had disciples or apostles to write down what he said and done. It is like the boss and his secretaries.

John 14:26 New International Version (NIV)
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

2 Corinthians 1:13-14 New International Version (NIV)
For we do not write you anything you cannot read or understand. And I hope that, as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day of the Lord Jesus.

No interpretation needed here. Never did being fond of interpreting just enlarging those words people always and strangely missed.
You really need to tone down the green ink. And try to find reliable sources for who wrote the books of the New Testament. Just because some ignorant fool claims that Matthew wrote Matthew does not mean that is who wrote it. Matthew was almost certainly dead when that gospel were written, second he probably did not have the education to write it in the first place.

As to how do you come by that.
That's not the generation that Jesus is in reference to.

How is the apostles and the early church of Christ to see all these things in Matthew chapter 24 come to pass, When they are no longer alive.

The generation that Jesus is in reference to, is the generation that is alive to see all these things happening.

We are that generation that is seeing all these Prophecy's in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 and Luke 21 and the book of Revelation coming to be fulfilled.
Reinterpretation after the prophecy failed only tells us that the prophecy failed.

Wow! Green ink used to confirm the failure of prophecy. Nice.

When Jesus said "Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened." Matthew 24:34 Mark 13:30 Luke 21:32

He certainly meant it. Where is that generation right now? They are just asleep.

The generation that Jesus is referring to, is the generation that will be alive to see all those things that Jesus has given in prophecy in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21.

Matthew 24:34--"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled"

Note that Jesus is in reference to the generation that will be alive to see all these things in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21
Be fulfilled.
Jesus was not referring to the generation of his time, But the generation that will be alive at the time to see all these things come to pass in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21.
We are that generation to see these things being fulfilled.

I did not torture figures of speech to make things fit in my beliefs. It was the Lord Jesus said and what he said I have to believe. Unless you are indirectly accusing the Lord Jesus Christ of lying?

What is written in the Bible, is read in the Bible and this is written.

Luke 8:51-53 New International Version (NIV)
When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.”

They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead.

Figure of speech? A lie by the Lord Jesus Christ? Or the Lord Jesus is just stating a fact?
The Jesus example and the Paul example are two different things. They can’t be conflated.

There is a huge difference between THIS and THAT. I can read THIS and not THAT

The Lord Jesus was talking to the generation [the apostles and the early church, who were Israelites] not the generation of Americans, Latinos, Canadians, Europeans, Africans or Asians or 67 different generations from the apostles to the present time.

Matthew 24:34 Common English Bible (CEB)
I assure you that this generation won’t pass away until all these things happen.
The question also is - Did they pass away?

My answer is NO. They are just asleep as the Lord Jesus Christ mentioned in 2 different occasions describing when his followers/friends died, they are just sleeping and many occasions by his apostles describing when a saved individual died, they are just sleeping.

Death is described as sleep in various books of the Bible, not only in the New Testament but also the Old Testament.

Daniel 12:2 New International Version (NIV)
Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

Job 14:11-12 New International Version (NIV)
As the water of a lake dries up
or a riverbed becomes parched and dry,
so he lies down and does not rise;
till the heavens are no more, people will not awake
or be roused from their sleep.

Psalm 7:5 New International Version (NIV)
then let my enemy pursue and overtake me;
let him trample my life to the ground
and make me sleep in the dust.

It is because of the Lord Jesus Christ that his early church will not pass away but asleep because God raised him from the dead. If the Lord Jesus Christ was not raised by the Lord God from the dead then his early church would pass away - and this truth is seen in:

1 Corinthians 15:12-18 New International Version (NIV)
But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.

However...

1 Corinthians 15:20-21 New International Version (NIV)
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep
. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.

The whole thing is inside Chapter 24. These things are in the Bible and there should be no distortion what so ever coming from anyone. Unless they want to risk their very souls.

Matthew 24:3-34 New International Version (NIV)
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.

“If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you ahead of time.

“So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

“Immediately after the distress of those days

“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

“Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

A generation is "all of the people born and living at about the same time, regarded collectively." It can also be described as, "the average period, generally considered to be about thirty years, during which children are born and grow up, become adults, and begin to have children of their own."

That generation belongs to the time when the Lord Jesus Christ died, buried and the Lord God raised him from the dead - hence the sign of Jonah.

This present generation is different from the generation during the time of the apostles because this is what how he describes that generation:

Luke 11:50-51 New International Version (NIV)
Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all.

How sure are you that "Jesus was not talking about the generation at his time, But a future generation that would be alive to see all these things being fulfilled" and "We are that generation.."???

Because the things were not fulfilled in "the generation" which the Lord Jesus Christ was referring to? So you purposely bend that "this generation" is some future generation not 500 AD, not 1000 AD, not 1500 AD and not even 2000 AD but "We are that generation" But hey there's more not even your would be grand children's generation.

I think that is a screwed interpretation. I believe the Lord Jesus Christ was referring to the generation when he walked the earth. He wasn't a liar, although people in the false churches would purposely twist things around and make the Lord a liar. Now that is really not good for these people.
