What is the difference between knowing God and believing in God?

Does the former require an experience in which you have actually encountered God and the latter having not experience but only having faith in His existence based on what you've read or have been told?

What does it take to know God?

If you know God, is faith and belief no longer a requirement? Please explain why or why not.

For those of you who claim to know God, please elaborate on how you know Him.

I am of the Hindu/Advaita/pantheist school of thought that God separates Himself from Himself and returns Himself to Himself. It is a play/drama of God/Brahman.

You state your religion as nondualism but you didn't give us a strong nondual answer. I understand nondual to mean God and us/creation are not-two.

I know G-d from His attributes mentioned in Quran and these exist or are manifested in the Universe as Absolutes. Right, please?

I know God exists because I believe that Baha'u'llah was a Manifestation of God.
I know the Attributes of God as manifested by Baha'u'llah in His Person and revealed in His Writings.
I know the Will of God as revealed by Baha'u'llah, whose Will is identical with the Will of God.
I do not know the Essence of God and I do not believe anyone can ever know the Essence of God, except God. Not even the Manifestations of God can know the Essence of God.

I believe God exists with absolute certitude so in that sense I know God exists without objective proof. For me personally, objective proof would negate the existence of God. I would never want to see God.

I do not believe that anyone ever encounters God or hears from God or that God lives inside of people.
I believe that God communicates only with Manifestations of God through the Holy Spirit but they do not encounter God directly, they just hear His Voice in some way that the rest of us are incapable of comprehending.

Christianity supplies us with the most emphatic answer to your questions, other religions not so much. The bible states exactly how we can know and believe in God. Are you interested in discussing the answers to your questions? If so I will open up with a few scriptures.

Knowing Christ Personally

Philippians 3:10
That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death;
