Why Evolution and Christianity are Fundamentally Irreconcilable

When would the first evolved human have existed? Why should his name not have been Adam?

...Obviously at some point there must have been a first human. Or at least more human than not.
There was never a first "human" any more than there ever was a first Spanish speaker. There is no hard line when a speciation event occurs.

Think of it this way:

For man we only can use us as an end point at best, though we are still evolving. Where would your starting
point be? If you choose first life, then time wise half way would still be single celled life. Complexity wise the simplest multi-celled animal would probably count as half way.

Nope. There is no such metric for either species or languages. You are making the error of thinking that there was a goal for either one. There are just results.

Not sure what you mean by goal, but I would think that any creature that has at least 51% of what we currently consider human DNA should be considered more human than not.

...That exact point in time surely must have existed.

Would that animal even qualify as a "fish"? I doubt it.

I think because our population has soared so high, we will evolve at a much, much slower pace. Stagnant to the point of stoppage from this point on.

New mutations are constantly being added. Of course to get a significant change something bad will have to happen. Who knows what will be selected for in the future.

Yeah, adding a small mutation at this point gets cancelled out because of the sheer numbers. To evolve any further will require a major catastrophe.

That happens quite often. Or a minor catastrophe that isolates a population. The first step in speciation is a separation of some sort of a population.

Yeah, but now we have airplanes, internet and other communications. As long as we have electricity, nobody is going to be lost long enough to change.

...Our intelligence has surpassed our own nature. I think the prospect of evolution is finished. We are the final product.

I would not bet on that. If we ever colonize another planet that would be for all practical purposes a permanent separation. Sooner or later nature will strike. Some unforeseen event will happen. It will probably not occur in our lifetimes, but it is all but guaranteed.

Actually I supplied a quote

Let me guess... you think it's a fake link... see the link on Lucy Dethroned

see --> Lucy Dethroned
Yes, you supplied a quote. From a bogus source. Christmas apologist sites are simply Liars for Jesus for the most part. You need a proper source if you want to take those claims and have people not laugh at you.

A bogus source? You tried that one already Must be convenient.... everything you don't like is a bogus source

As you know the Ida fossil (an exint lemur) its name in Latin being 'Darwin;s misisng link at last'
and admission that the missing link is still missing... and no one talks about Ida anymore

Lucy is a really poor choice of a transitional form
All forms if they reproduce are "transitional forms" because the basic process of evolution doesn't stop. Lucy is an example of just one form, but we don't know enough about her relationship to later forms to know if she's in a direct link to Homo sapiens.

But needless to say, if she walked down the hall where people could see her today, they'd likely have a reaction like "Say whaaaaa?!".

And during her time period or earlier, there simply isn't a single human fossil that looks like a modern human.

No, You days still has the same position she has always had. Ignorant creationists have not displaced her.

She is merely an example of earlier primate evolution. You do realize that you are a primate, don't you?

Creationists refuse to learn the difference between ancestral and transitional. It makes creating dishonest quote mines so much easier on if one does that.
