It is kind of obvious.

The measurements are given in cubits. It is impossible to
get an absolutely exact measurement with any device.
but with the technology of the day any measurement would be
much less precise.

A cubit based on your arm would vary in length with each
beat of your heart.

Try to put a cubit on paper, do it several times. Each will be a
different length, and not just because of your pulse. That is
one of the lesser problems.

100 % accurate "ark" measurements? It is a silly idea.
We know the measurements we dont know exactly what tools or what further direction Or help Noah got from god. Like I have said before there are several things we have no clue how people built back then.

how about this, I will take you on in a detailed discussion on another thread about Noahs flood, or we can do it through message.

My rules are you cannot be disrespectful, and you have to know what you are talking about, you just cant cite somebody elses work without really even reading it yourself.

If you have a list of the objections that would be great. No sarcasm. if there is 200 objections then cite them, and we will look at each one.there cannot be an infinite amount of objections, so number them all and we will handle them one by one.

but if you are just going to be disrespectful and are not willing to look at these in a analytical way then lets not waste both of our time.

That is not a problem There are rules for you too. If you do not accept a fact you have to tell me why it is wrong and find a valid source, not a lying creationist one, that tells me why I am wrong. All posts have to be ultimately based upon real peer review. That means knowledge that came from peer reviewed science. Fake peer review will not be accepted. It must be a well accepted professional journal that one ultimately relies upon.

Poor excuse. With the idiocy that is constantly spread by flood believers he is more than calm. And no, he is not pushing religion, that may be your sin, it is not his. He is pushing testable verifiable facts. He was only one example of a person demonstrating how wrong your beliefs are. You can't refute his claim so you have to attack his character. That is not the proper action for someone that claims to be a Christian.

By the way, he does not say "you are stupid for believing in a god". How did you get that message from the video? It would be rather stupid to believe in a lying God, yet creationists seem to have no problem with a God that lies.
You are using his research, do your own, you are doing the same thing people in religion do, which is follow a figure. Can you answer your own questions or do you need aron ra to do it for you?

By the way. Here is a very simple fact that refutes a worldwide flood. If you can agree to this there is hardly a need for a separate thread:

Ice floats.

There is nothing wrong with his research and you should not make false claims about others. Religious people depend upon myth. Aron Ra, and I depend upon the sciences.

The ice caps at Greenland and Antarctica are hundreds of thousands of years old. They would have been destroyed in Noah's flood.
Ok so let me speak out in honesty, I have not taken a look at this, but I will do more research. But a few questions arise from this

1. How do we definitively know that the icecaps are hundreds of thousands of years old?

2. Has it ever been recorded in history for the ice caps to have been overwhelmed by water and what was the result.

I will get back to you tomorrow. Have a good night.

1. Where can you find a reference that says it is unconditional? We can’t earn salvation because we have a debt that we can’t pay. But when we accept Jesus sacrifice we become a new creation that is appreciative of the sacrifice provided. It takes faith in god and in Jesus sacrifice to obtain salvation, and faith is demonstrated by our works. Not that our

Since love lacks conditions, (give charity without expecting anything-person or god-in return. Doing it for the sole reason of giving itself) thats unconditional love.

What type of love does god have since he expects something in return that a person with unconditional love does not have?

Unconditional doesnt mean earning salvation. Its charity without reservation.

Also, what is a spirit?

How does someone who died 2,000 some odd years ago (magic number, I guess) save you today without your effort in the matter?

How does death bring life?

Whats the role of christs crucifiction when you only need faith to believe not the physical life and death gods son (faith by belief not by sight)?

They have been dated by various methods. Radiometric dating alone is good enough.

No, but this is a rather stupid question to say the least. It looks like you are trying to make a weak excuse ahead of time. The icecaps have been in place longer than humans have been on this Earth.

I will get back to you tomorrow. Have a good night.

Good, remember, if you are dishonest you lose. Your second question is not a good indication.

No the bible tells us that the dead know nothing at all. Ecclesiastes 9:5-10
When I read the passage, my first thought was... "wait, is this The Bible (or its writers) actually hinting at the most plausible reality of death?!", which would have been some kind of miracle, although would put it in contradiction with itself at other points, due to the promises of "eternal life" and all that. So then I searched online to find the apologist's explanations... and sure enough, there are plenty. Most often they cite "context" and say this passage can't be taken out of its context because Solomon here was describing what a dead person has to look forward to in additional dealings WITH EARTH. At least that's the recurring excuse I see for the wording of many lines in this passage. Because let's face it... something like this needs a pretty hefty sum of excuses to get it back in line with the rest of The Bible.

I personally know no single Christian person who would outright accept words like "there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave" to mean that there is nothingness after death. There would be excuses... a torrential rain of excuses. That's how this stuff works. In my experience, that's the only way it does "work."

3. My point was that if you have examined the bible and have determined it is true and willfully choose to oppose it then you are accountable. Or if you have confirmed on your own that your beliefs are false and continue there then you are accountable.

I've examined the bible and determined that portions of it are demonstrably not true. There are those of course who choose willful ignorance of the falsehoods
of their 100% true book.

the direction god gave Noah was to save his life and it was preserved, plus we dont know what kind of tools he had. There are still some things they did in ancient times that we cannot figure out.

It makes no difference what sort of tools he (would have)
had (if there'd been a noah, an ark,or any of that)

Lets see you measure something, use any tools you like, and get the length correct to .00000000001 mm.

Noah, had there been a Noah would have been much less precise.

The numbers given for the ark are approximate, not 100%. .000000000000000000000001 is still an error, not 100%

Can you see that?

Ice always floats. Polar ice predates "the flood".

Your suggestion that there be a respectful conversation is noted
and approved. (even if you did not say it to me)

I care about respect for intellectual honesty more than I care
whether someone show respect for me, personally.

You on board for intellectual honesty?

Would it kill you to realize that one of your beliefs is
not true? Could you accept it and move on?

I spotted that escape hatch in the second question.
It is, of course, desperately important for a creaitonist
to have a way to escape from some of the things
that research has shown us.

I've long held that it is impossible for a creationist to be both informed, and intellectually honest.

Feel free to ask me about the theology of scripture, manuscripts, life biggest questions, alleged contradictions, context of passages etc... I dont know everything but I like to hear the objections and the difficult questions and problems people have with scripture. Please provide the references if possible, and any relevant evidence.
Why did 'god' command his followers to commit genocide in the Old Testament?

I believe that the 1st century christians followed the same bible principals as we do. as long as you do not violate the bible principals there is room for diversity.
Not remotely close not even The same reality. I just point to pope Clements sermon on The Phoenix written in about 80 AD. as proof.
Theology is a worthless degree in application to the bible, but it's an interesting psych tool in The evolving development of the intellect over 2000 years in religious history of western culture.
It's not just the bible that is an issue Plato also is problematic for us to read.

I am not an enemy of christianity, if I attack the intellect. People may take that personally but we are not determined by not exist in nor is it some profound. It's mostly powerful and dysfunctional most of the time. We can become stupid as we get "smarter". There is ample evidence through out history of getting "smarter" and "dumber" at the same time. The text manifests from the landscape, the text did not generate and create the landscape. Books are the message not the messenger.

Nah. The book is the messenger.
