Well first, forget anything that has to do with miracles, magic, prophesy, fate, revelation or rapturous blind faith. It's all fabricated, manipulative hearsay, including paganism. Be an agnostic as a starting point, from which reason will lead you to the only two rational positions on God/spirituality: agnostic-atheism and agnostic-deism. Of course if you aren't interested in being reasonable, just use a dart board.
