Actually this thread is based upon another one...this
Eve vs Lilith
Do you believe these two archetypes of woman exist?
That is:
- alpha female...represented by the bossy Lilith
- beta female....represented by the submissive Eve

NOTE:
This dichotomy refers to personality only....don't take the myth literally...
got it @Rival?:)

I think humans in general have many different personality types, male or female. The idea of applying terms like "alpha" and "beta" to humans seems an oversimplification of the human species and the complex relationships we develop.

I'm not even sure how it's supposed to work or how we differentiate between "alpha" and "beta" types. For example, we might say that a good example of an "alpha male" might be the head of motorcycle gang, who rose to that position by being the toughest and able to beat everyone else up.

But does that mean whichever woman he picks as his girlfriend becomes the "alpha female" by default? But then she would be submitting to an alpha male?

Or does the alpha female necessarily exist outside of that paradigm and only relevant within a matriarchy?

Lol...as I underlined this thread focuses more on personality...
I was thinking that the alpha female is the one that yells, overreacting at her partner , if he's late.

And the beta one is the one who forgets to call her partner...he reacts yelling at her and she cries.

i think women are a mixture of bossy and submissive. they are lucky if they find the golden balance between the two.

Women are grouped according to the patriarchal values they accept.

In sexuality, men are the invaders and their desires the aggression.

Spiritually, women and men are the same.

Jesus said to them, "When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom."-Gospel of Thomas

In patriarchal orthodoxy, women have been displaced by the Eve myth. (first to sin). But the woman (Eve) was more aware of the spirit (of God) in the Tree of Life than Adam.(Secret John).

The patriarchal (sexual) desires of men interferes with the clear thoughts wisdom provides. Church father Origen actually had himself castrated to rid himself of the intrusion. Physically an ignorant act, IMO.

It is the Abrahamic ways for women to be lesser than males. They can become sons of God as well as men.

In the physical, I see no difference in the wisdom men provide to that of women. Which is why I see the Holy Spirit as the feminine in spiritual, the mother, nurturer of wisdom, to the Son and the sons (of God, the Father).

Luke 1:
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Just my perspective. Which patriarchs reject.

Oh, okay. I see what you mean.

I'm not sure that instances of yelling or crying would be manifestations of either alpha or beta personalities. I mean, we're all capable of doing both at one time or another.

Personality-wise, the alpha might be more independent-minded, more a leader than a follower. In the Lilith example, she wanted to rule over herself; she didn't want to be ruled by Adam. She wanted independence. But she wouldn't necessarily have to yell about it.

In fact, I'd wager that it's probably the betas who do most of the yelling. How the alpha responds to it depends on whether he/she is a smart alpha and a wise leader, or a stupid alpha and a tyrant.

I believe I am a beta female because I don't like to argue with a partner\boyfriend...the dialogue between male and female has never interested me.
I tend to be submissive and understanding towards males because I hardly get them.
But I tend to be petulant with other females especially my sisters, my mother, my aunt, etc

No one is either or all the time or in all situations. Some are more one or the other, but most are definitely a blend of both.
