His was the first science book I ever read.

One thing I'll remember him for was his courage to fight the disease he was stricken with. On science, he was right about a lot of things and helped me understand the BBT, but he was also wrong about some big things. RIP Mr. Hawking.

His life expectancy at 22 yrs was only a very short time. He lived on to 76... a triumph of personal endurance and a massive gift to mankind.
