Isn't it much more likely that we should protect ourselves against lying and liars? Romans 3:4 .......Let God be true and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that You may be justified in Your words, and prevail in Your judgments."

Your to funny, giving something, that only shows your guilt.

God stands "against" some people. No! That is not true. If, like you say, Jesus is against people, how can they ever come to him?

1 Timothy 2:4 .....God our Savior wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

How does people come to Jesus, Repent of the sin which they do, then come to Jesus.
Repent means to turn away from.
Jesus does not come to the person first, then the person Repents,No.
A person is to Repent first then come to Jesus.
A person is to take the first step to Repent first, then Jesus comes to them.

It's not a person comes to Jesus then Repents, No, A person is to Repent first, then Jesus comes to them.

OK. I have a special gift. It is for remembering the truth. What you say cannot be reconciled with this, so it has to be wrong.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8

If you can go to Jesus only with no sin, then nobody is with him. That would make him very lonely. YOUR way makes Jesus lonely. It isn't good.

No one is claiming to be without sin, where do you get that at ?

You said that a person must repent of his sins BEFORE he can go to Jesus.

But, I am as certain as I am able that Jesus is he who helps us to repent of every sin. Nobody doesn't sin. Everybody sins until they die.

It is written in the same class as the situation that you are standing so very, very firmly against.
If you are calling deviant sex wrong you have to also call lying wrong or you are a hypocrite.

I could call lying wrong, But since the subject is not about lying, then you are wrong to bring up lying.

No, you brought it up. Look at your post! If you didn't want to talk about lying then you might have done this; liars, to the scripture.

I will try to give you my thoughts as best as I can.

I have done some research regarding Bibles in the past.

The reason I did so was because of the anti homosexual madness in the Christian churches. The God that I felt I knew did not seem to line up with the God being peddled in the churches.

So digging deeper into some of the verses that the churches use for their condemnation, it led me to discover some interesting things.

There are well over 100 versions of the Bible, and more probably being made for all I know. That’s just in English.

You can imagine how many in all the foreign languages.

Well, when a translation is made, there are errors made along the way. Generally the errors are insignificant for the most part for most people.

Where difficulties arise, is when a translator makes small, nearly imperceptible alterations on purpose because of a bias.

Generally the bias is a result of religious dogma of the translator.

We can do research and attempt to discover the real word of God.

The internet is a wonderful tool.

One would want to find the original writings (manuscripts) from the original authors, to see the actual Word as delivered by God.

Unfortunately, none of the originals exist for the New Testament, and I’m not sure about the state of OT manuscripts, although it seems unlikely any originals exist there either.

So what we have is copies. And we also have 1000s of copies of copies. So you can see how the true word of God can be lost.

But I have also discovered that there is more than an adequate perfection in what we do have to allow a person to find and understand the Lord.

So, the bottom line is: The Word of the Lord is perfect, what we humans have to read is an image ( like a photocopy) and although it does not have the perfection of the original Word, it is sufficient for the Lord’s communication with us.

Even when you locate the blatant mistranslations done by scribes who are pushing a religious agenda, you can rest in knowing that it doesn’t matter in the long run. The message needed is there.

The problem arises when the individual doesn’t want to hear or see the message, but instead use the Bible as a weapon of mass destruction.

I got it! A person must repent of wanting to sin. OK. I agree.

Then, we can get into a discussion of being born with the desire to be attracted to the wrong sex. As I understand it, some homosexuals do not want to be that way. They just are.
