Is there an alternative to “I will cut of man from the face of the earth” (Zeph 1:3)?

Is there an alternative? Apparently there is, found in Zeph 2:1-3, which is to “Seek the LORD, all you humble of the earth who have carried out His ordinances/justice; seek righteousness , seek humility. Perhaps you will be hidden in the day of the LORD’s anger”.

Thank you, i do appreciate your intelligence at noticing some of these things; very interesting point...

What is good about this is the Lord has a new name, and most people are already facing in the wrong direction, thus many fakes won't be heard.
Why is the LORD always so angry?
The Lord is angered, as people literally are determined to go the opposite direction, like we're down near Hell...

Thus when the Lord sent prophets, we beat them or murdered them; when the Lord asked for righteousness, we gave lots of sacrifices, and ceremonies instead.

In my opinion.

Actually, The Lord is never angry.
The Lord cannot be angry.
It’s a religious myth.

That;s true. G-d doesn't actually experience any emotions. We humans just assign an emotion to G-d to assist our understanding.

The alternative is to read the entire book of Zephaniah, chapters 1-3. In the first chapter, G-d threatens a day of destruction. In the second chapter, G-d tells us to improve ourselves and our enemies will be uprooted. In the third chapter, G-d says that national salvation will occur and Zion will exult.

He knew we'd do it beforehand, so why flip out?

Because we're heading for our own spiritual destruction, and the Lord is trying to get us to head the right way.

What by being angry and threatening to wipe us off the earth? Looks like he's the one doing the destruction, right?

Maybe you should read the whole OT, including rereading Zeph 3. Zion, Judah and Israel, will come through the fire refined (Zech 13:8-9), with only 2/3 of them perishing in the refining fire. They will be relocated to the land the LORD gave to Jacob, and be My people. (Ez 37:15-28) Your "national salvation' pertains to Jacob, and not the "nations". The "dispersed" are not the nations, but "My inheritance Israel" (Joel 3:2), who are "scattered among the nations". You, and the "nations", have "inherited nothing but falsehood" from your "fathers" (Jeremiah 16:19)

New American Standard Bible (Zephaniah 3:8)
"Therefore wait for Me," declares the LORD, "For the day when I rise up as a witness. Indeed, My decision is to gather nations, To assemble kingdoms, To pour out on them My indignation, All My burning anger; For all the earth will be devoured By the fire of My zeal. (Zechariah 14:1-3) & (Revelation 16:13-19)

I think it is Shiva, who is known as the "destroyer of worlds", who is most likely to cause the most damage. Her current temple of destruction is now located in CERN Switzerland, and the mode of destruction seems to be the building of a black hole, to provide a portal to other dimensions. The best description for a "black hole" would be a "bottomless pit". What goes in, generally doesn't come out. Lord Shiva Statue Unveiled - CERN Document Server Her high priest are your scientist, and the end result, probably death and destruction.

Nope we eventually wipe ourselves out by not living in harmony with nature... So Yeshua told us that nature provides everything, to give up wealth, and live as one big community.

We've gone against Yeshua, and the planet is being destroyed the rivers are polluted (3rd angel), the oceans are dying (2nd angel)...

Revelation 11:18 says God is to remove those who are destroying earth.

Hosea 2:18, Ezekiel 34:25, Isaiah 11:6-9, Isaiah 65:25 says that God will make a covenant with nature, where all animals will be safe in the land from then on.

Thus my understanding is God is keeping those who listen to God's instructions, and removing those who don't....

The Bible was a test to see if people listen globally, and thus we can understand the frustrations.

In my opinion. :innocent:

Well, we're doing a fine job of polluting the planet and trashing its ecosystems that's for sure.

Environmental pollution damages animal life indiscriminately and ultimately seeps into the food chain at all levels. Being a true believer or not makes no difference. We all breathe the same polluted air, no creatures are safe from it.

Our reality is to be reset, and a new earth for those who truly believe God can do that, and for those who pass the tests to prove they're worthy of it.

Isaiah 24:5 The earth is also polluted by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant.
Interesting points, as many of the verses are about spilling blood, and dead carcasses on the land...

Which is also summarized in the everlasting covenant, that God originally told us to only eat fruit as meat (Genesis 1:29)...

The documentary Cowspiracy explains that one of the biggest environmental issues, is that the raising of cattle is polluting everywhere... For there is as much CO2 released from cattle, as from cars.

Then in Isaiah 24/Isaiah 34 the Ravenous/Blood Thirsty beings are removed; so that there is no longer death in the world.

In my opinion. :innocent:

Who will hide this Lord from my anger I wonder?

I am fine with you giving up your car, walking instead of taking a plane, and not eating meat, it will hopefully lower the meat price in the store. If you take your premise further, then we should get rid of all mankind, who seem to exhale CO2, and all the animals that I know of exhale CO2. Mercy me, how much CO2 does a whale exhale? Maybe we can keep some of the sulfur eating animals at the vents at the bottom of the ocean. If you notice Isaiah 24:5 doesn't mention blood, but transgression of laws as the basis of the pollution. As far as blood, if you don't kill your innocent neighbor, there were be no blood to clean up. If you did to others as you would have them do to you, then you wouldn't have to worry about chemicals dumped in streams. I think you have been watching too many Al Gore movies.

I don't give any authority to Christian books. None of what you quoted is in the Hebrew bible.
