A frustrating life?

Greetings all.

What would be your perfect recipe for a frustrating life?

Please feel perfectly free to respond in a humorous vein or more seriously as you prefer.

I don't mind.

You may choose to base your reply on your own personal experience or your observations of the other beings you share this tiny planet with.

Let the fun begin ...

The life we all collectively live at present...is a perfect recipe for frustration. We all have expectations that go unfulfilled, leading to ongoing frustration with so many aspects of life.

The definition of insanity is to repeat the same behaviors and then expect a different outcome.

Humans keep repeating the same behaviors and when the inevitable outcome bites them in the rear end they are confused about why it happened. Go figure....

Agreed.

Many people find it hard to change despite the fact that what they are doing just isn't working ...

Not sure what we can do about it except give a good example.

Cheers.

:musicnotes:From house to house to house, from door to door...:musicnotes: ...from month to month, from year to year...

and what about "expectation postponed"...1874, 1914, 1925, 1975...this generation - no not that generation, this generation - and a century on from "millions now living"...

Well, like you said...go figure....

From personal experience, having three houses when you do not even like houses, and having two cars when you do not even like cars...

In short, the material world is the recipe for a frustrating life.

I admit, I am finding it difficult to conceive of how I can lead a frustrating life. Which is frustrating! :D

Well, that all depends upon how you define "working." Working for what?
Hypothetically, if one believes in God and predestination, whatever is is what is supposed to be even though it feels really bad right now... Regarding a particular life situation, I have been saying that to myself for about two months now...

Decisions are a bear but I do not believe God decides for us, we have to decide, but my fear is that I will make a mistake. I have learned it is better to wait till I feel comfortable with a decision before I make it, even if it sets me back a little bit financially.

It is sure nice to be a Baha'i because we are not waiting for anything.... :D
I hate waiting.

That is bad enough in a personal application, but when you apply it to governments and their decision makers, it becomes something that affects all of us. When something isn't working for the people, then governments should be trying to address a system that is clearly broken.....but they never do. As long as the system rewards them, they will stick with it.
Don't you just get sick of the empty words? A lotta people feel like.....

That is good in personal application but not really seen where it is needed most...in world leadership. It seems as if the moment you give humans power, they get all full of their own importance and become beholding, not to the people they have pledged to serve, but to the people who provide the most financial backing.
Money rules everything.

There are very few governments in the world that are shining examples when it comes to caring for their most disadvantaged citizens. How can a country hold up its head and give aid to poorer nations when its streets are full of homeless people with no hope for a better future?.....and its citizens are threatened more from internal forces than from external ones?

I like the Bible's solution personally.....a clean sweep of the whole arrangement....all the corrupt and wicked people gone, and a new righteous government that will ensure that God's will is done "on earth as it is in heaven".....no wonder Jesus taught us to pray for that government to come and fix everything!

You'll figure it out...eventually. Not sure you'll like the outcome though......but hey, its all about our choices, isn't it? ;)
